Centauri Captives is a steamy sci-fi romance series from USA Today Bestselling Authors Kallista Dane and Kate Richards featuring masterful alien warriors and the captive Earth women they take as mates in a desperate attempt to save their race from oblivion.
Each book is a stand-alone, introducing a strong smart heroine and a super-hot alien hero in a battle of the sexes as old as the Universe.

Vyraz wants Aja to have and procreate since he is the last of his kind. Aja has other plans that do not include Vyraz at all. This storyline is full of intrigue and understanding of their situation. I loved the details of these characters and the background information. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
This is my first time reading anything from these two authors and I enjoyed this human/alien romance. The plot is fun and interesting to read, whilst the characters are strong individuals each with a personal agenda and neither wanting to give an inch in their battle of wills.

The fourth book in the Centauri Captives series and this series is just getting better with each new book. This is Aja and Archon Vyraz’s story and this is a book I recommend, it held my interest from the first pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Vyraz, is the only Archon left from his planet Arythios which was destroyed while an all male crew were on Maneuvers. Instead of getting asylum from the interstellar federation they are given female slaves to use for breeding from Earth. (No one told the Earth women that they were breeding slaves.) Vyraz as Archon can read minds and has total recall. Vyraz is asked to pick his Earthling from his Admiral Dylos. He chooses Aja as he saw her in a vision. Aja think she is going to escape but Vyraz can read her mind so he sets about seducing her. Aja is smart and feisty but you can’t win against someone who can read your mind. I loved both of these characters. They get along pretty good once they iron out their differences. There is a lot of steam with this couple. Since Vyraz can read Aja’s mind he can give her everything her heart desires. I hope there is more of this series. I’ve read all the books so far and loved them. This was my first time reading both of these authors and they did not disappoint their book was amazing! I love all Sci-Fi alien romance and this had the super-hot alpha alien hero and the smart heroine with all the twists, turns, intrigue, betrayal, suspense, fear, defiance, spankings along with hot and steamy with a great ending. The story line is interesting with well developed characters full of action and adventure so Grab you copy and find out if they get their HEA!!!

Steamy read.
This is the fourth book in the Centauri Captives series. It is a steamy read with intriguing characters.
They are the hope for the future…
The all male crew are all that’s left of the population of their planet when Arythios is destroyed. The only survivors are the warriors who were away on maneuvers at the time. When they seek assistance and asylum from the interstellar federation they are instead given female slaves to impregnate and use as breeders from Earth. Unfortunately, no one told the Earth women. They are awakened to discover they’ve been given away without a choice.
Vyraz, an Archon is the last of his kind. He’s the equivalent of a holy man with total recall and the ability to read minds. The Admiral asks him to choose from the breeding stock which was send to them by Earths leaders in order to continue his line. Vyraz chooses Aja; he’s seen her in a vision and is drawn to her.
This series is so great! I love the dominant aliens and the women who bring them back to living again.
This book is about Aja and Vyraz. Vyraz is his peoples Archon. Which means he can connect to others minds, but he is also a warrior as well. When the Arythians lost their world he put aside his own grief to help his fellow warriors. But he is also the last of his kind and his people want him to carry on his legacy. So he is supposed to choose a human and become her master.
Before he even sees Aja in person he has had a vision of her and so he chooses her when he sees her with the other sleeping humans. Aja isn’t even sure how she ended up on the Arythians ship and she has had a life where she isn’t allowed to make her own choices. So right from the start she hopes to escape so she can live her life her own way. But Vyraz starts breaking down her resolve right from the start. . .
I love how you get to know a bit more about the Arythians with each story. Most of these books are stand alone, but I think they are more enjoyable if you read them in order. And you get to see Jess and her Arythian in this story too.
Whilst this is still an enjoyable story, I didn’t feel it was as good as previous books
The story was entertaining and well written, with a good amount of steam. We get to see more of Jess and Manstk, from book 1, which was great. Both main character’s were likeable enough and I like how caring Vyraz was towards Aja.
For some reason both Aja and Vyraz felt quite flat and a lacking depth. I just didn’t get a sense of emotion from them, it felt more as though they were narrating/describing what they could see or were doing. Very much a case of being told rather than shown. In order to really enjoy/love a book I need to feel a connection with the main characters, I need to have their emotions shown and described – in fact I need to feel those emotions. Is their skin crawling/prickling/sensitive to the slightest touch? Does their heart pound in anticipation? Is joy filling their soul or sorrow shattering their heart?
That said it’s not a terrible read, if you’ve enjoyed others in the series/similar books I’m sure you’d enjoy this one. It can be read as stand alone in terms of Aja and Vyraz’s story being completed within this book. However the back story has been building throughout the series, so I would suggest reading them all in order for maximum enjoyment.
Great addition to the series. While I enjoyed this book their were some things that could’ve been better like, this book unlike the other books in the series have less background information in my opinion. I also like that we got to see characters for the previous book and how they play a major role between Aja and Vyraz. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I just love this series. It is well written and fuels the imagination and takes you somewhere else. He is the last of his kind as they were killed off. He gets her and wants to have children with her. But with his awesome talents he is ahead of the game. But when feeling develop it makes it more sensitive. She does want him but it is just not that easy. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Vyraz is the last Archon left after the Rydek destroyed his world and everyone on it he was tasked with claiming and breeding one of the human women on hopes that he would breed a child with his gift. More than just a warrior the gifts of Archons made them natural therapists. When Aja woke and found herself on a spaceship as part of the group of ‘gifts’ given to the Arythians by a corrupt government official the only thing she wanted was to escape and return to earth. But first she decided to use the alien who spanks her and says he is her master. She never thought that she would come to have feelings for him. Though part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. I read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the fourth book of the Centauri Captives series. It is not necessary to read the first three books, but it would be helpful.
Vyraz is the last Archon. An Archon is sort of a spiritual leader, but they also can read minds. Aja has been controlled all her life. She wants to make her choices, not be forced. The two seem to find common ground, but there are still problems. There is a HEA for them, with a HFN for the rest of the survivors. I read this through KU.
I really enjoyed this story of the beautiful dark skinned Aja and the Archon survivor Vyraz, who is gifted with the beauty to breed with and continue his species which was all killed off except him. Aja is there against her will and vows to escape at the first chance she gets. Vyraz has a gift, he can read minds and knows what Aja is thinking and uses that knowledge to charm and seduce her, so very hot!!! Aja is educated, smart and feisty but no real challenge for Vyraz who has many talents and special aids to assist him in his seduction of Aja. I loved both of them, they do get along well once some of their differences are figured out and I really loved Vyraz’s empathy and understanding as he fights his inner demons and tries to do things right. This was another great story of the Centauri Captives and I hope there are more to come.
These two talent authors have once again, created a complex, somewhat dark Sci-Fi alien romance novel, it is the fourth novel in the series “Centauri Captives” there are character crossovers but this novel is complete & standalone. It has a well-paced, descriptive plot filled with unexpected occurrences & some good scene descriptions. The characters are unique with complex personalities, one of the characters displays defiance & struggles with acceptance in a new & unfamiliar world, while other character displays emotional turmoil & alternates between determination & doubts.
It is about: a Centaurian Archon warrior with empath abilities (Vyraz) is asked by the Admiral (Dylos) to take a human female for breeding & he chooses a feisty young female (Aja) & she is not too impressed with this idea.
There is: twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, visions, deceit, betrayal, memories, anger, disorientation, confusion, fear, threats, manipulations, defiance, sexual-aid coercion, spanking, discovery, self-disgust, sexual torture, devious plans, memories, eavesdropping, devastating news, regrets, realization, declarations, acceptance, some steam & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I really enjoyed reading this Sci-fi alien romance & would recommend it.
this is a alien romance with bdsm and power exchange elements to it, it has great characters, a fun story line that keeps you interested and plenty of twists and turns
