This the second book in the series and enjoyed it just as much as the first one. The characters were great along with the storyline, I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

This is the second book in the series. A modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast, this story is filled with mystery, intrigue, action and adventure. Ms. Archer did a wonderful job of developing the characters into strong, likable people. I really liked the characters Bella and Jack. Bella is a strong and willful girl. Jack is the wounded hero – demanding but full of love. They come together in a marriage of convenience but get out of it so much more than they bargained for. This is a beautifully written story with emotion and depth and it was a delight to read.

This is a modern re-telling of Beauty and the Beast, with a few differences. Bella is smarter and more beautiful (inside and outside) than any Disney princess could ever be. Jack is just a dreamboat, not broken like he believes, but smart and driven and full of love. He drove me nuts for most of the book with running hot and cold in his attitude toward Bella. He’s also pushy and demanding, and she takes none of it, just love him. I love his family – big, close-knit and so supportive, something I noticed in the other two books in the series. She doesn’t come from a large family, but her father and aunt are real characters, and love her to pieces. Add in mystery and suspense, some action, and a kidnapping – and these two are finally ready to admit to each other how they really feel.

A good, clean, small town, billionaire romance. Wonderful characters and storyline. I liked the beauty and the beast theme woven into different parts of the storyline.
