He’s her boss. She shouldn’t love him. Especially when she promised not to.Macy Parker promised two things when she met Trent Pressler.1. To never lie to him. 2. To never fall in love with him.She accidentally broke the second one over the six years they’ve worked together. And by never telling him, has she broken the first? She isn’t sure. But telling him would make it worse. So much worse. And … telling him would make it worse. So much worse. And with no family of her own, he’s all she’s got.
Trent lost his father and his brother’s wife in quick succession. For the last eight years, he’s built his life around being alone so he never experiences loss like that again. Not even Macy, his beautiful and kind personal assistant, has broken through his walls.
Or so he lets himself believe.
During their yearly trip to visit his family in True Love, all of that might change.
When family and adorable farm animals come together, Macy and Trent just might find out there’s no kidding in love.

The second book in the True Love Animal Sanctuary series and I hope that there is going to be another book in this series. This is Macy Parker and Trent Pressler’s story about the promise she made when she started working for him, they where 1. To never lie to him and 2. To never fall in love with him, well she might have broken both. She loves him but he has things in his past that won’t let him move forward. This a book I enjoyed reading from the start, a good storyline and the story flowed smoothly from page to page. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Gosh. If you want a sweet romance then Eliza Boyd if your girl. The way she writes the story sucks you in and you can’t help but get invested in the characters. I swear I screamed, I cried, I kept telling Trent and Macy to open their eyes and speak from their hearts. It has angst but so much love. They don’t want to hurt each other but Trent goes through a growth that he needed in order to realize what was right in front of him. These characters are so sweet. I can’t wait to get more from True Love, AZ.

I enjoyed this book very much, even though I wanted to slap some sense in Trent’s head! I was given this book for a voluntary review! I highly recommend this book!
I loved this story. I got into the book right from the first chapter. And there was one detail that was not revealed throughout the story until the end. The perfect spot. Once it was revealed, a lot of other details came together. I couldn’t stop reading because I enjoyed the story but I also wanted to know that one detail. Perfect placement of the detail and an extremely enjoyable book!!!
Despite the “pun-ny” title, this story finds a way to deal with heavy issues without being too heavy of a read. Macy and Trent had both lost several loved ones in quick succession. In order to protect their hearts, they make a pact to always be truthful and to never fall in love.
This story about dealing with loss, and making the most of the time you have, is both sweet and inspiring. This is the magic of “true love”.
I received this book as an ark and am giving a voluntary review.
Trent was afraid to be hurt by love, so even though he had feelings for her, he wouldn’t allow himself to fall for his executive assistant Macy. Macy has unrequited feelings for Trent and she starts to realize while staying with his mother and brother Kyle in True Love that she can’t keep them separate from their professional relationship anymore. It was great to catch up with Brooke and the animals at her sanctuary. Her baby goat sounds adorable and I love Macy’s animal naming idea to raising money for the sanctuary. It was interesting to read about Kyle’s past and I can’t wait to read more about him and Brooke in a future book.
This one is very different. Two people who agreed to not fall in love & not lie to each other. How can 2 people do that when they both are so lonely, have lost family, work closely together (& do a great job at it) & truly care for each other. I love the part about the pig & the goats. This is a feel-good story that does have an HEA. It is a stand-alone story but you will understand the pet sanctuary better & how that began after reading the first book. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
I loved this book was a clean sweet read
No Kidding in Love is a super fun, clean, sweet romance with a lot of wonderful animals. I love Brooke’s sanctuary that seems to captivate everyone who visits! The animal characters are every bit as much fun and as important as the human characters. If you want a clean romance with a feisty heroine, a tortured hero, lack of communication among the two, and lots of cute animals, this entire series is for you!
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Eliza Boyd, and this is my voluntary and honest review. I really enjoyed this clean romance book about Macy and Trent. They worked together for six years and both fought against their love for each other until they volunteered at the Love Animal Sanctuary. The town of True Love has a way of people finding their true love. This is book 2 in this series and I look forward to the next book. I highly recommend this book especially if you love animals and clean romance.
This book was a joy to read. Its a good clean romance and I loved the animals in the story. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This clean, sweet book was a real pleasure to read! The wonderfully written storyline and the very likable, believable and engaging characters kept me totally enthralled until the turn of the very last page!
No Kidding in Love is the second in a series based around the True Love Animal Sanctuary. Although the animals give the books a softened touch, the stars in this story are definitely Macy and Trent.
Macy has been Trent’s personal assistant for six years and together they have built a successful business. Both of them had been through difficult personal family losses when they met, but over the years they healed and responded differently. Even though they had started with a pact to not fall in love, Macy has fallen in love with Trent.
Trent has continued to harden his heart. His goal in bringing Macy to visit his family for one week every year over her birthday is a bit vague and the reader begins to suspect he has feelings for Macy as well.
Watching Trent struggle to deny those growing feelings as they take him by surprise is sheer joy. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover!
I received an advance reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily chose to leave an honest review.
I’ve read a few of Eliza Boyd’s books. She writes well with sweet, clean storylines. The blurb on this book is why I chose to read this one. I wasn’t disappointed. The only thing is that I’m not “feeling” the emotions as I read. I’m certain when I need another sweet, clean book, I’ll be looking to pick up another Eliza Boyd book.

This was a very good clean book. Very good story line. I would recommend reading it. Loved the tie in to the other book with the animal sanctuary. Can’t wait for the next book about Brooke’s love!

What a great addition to the series! This book can be read as a stand alone, but honestly, the series is so good, go and get the whole series, it is so worth it. I love this series and can not wait for more. It is super sweet, but full of heartache, determination, and self preservation. It was great watching Trent overcome his emotional baggage. Macy was super sweet and could not help but to fall in love with her spunk, tenacity, and all around spitfire attitude. Trent struggled with his feelings in this book, and it was a joy to see him come out of his emotional shell he had put himself in to protect not only his heart but Macys.
Great story line, awesome characters that just warmed my heart, fantastic descriptions of details, and engaging dialogue.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA ending. Now I can not wait for the story of Brooke and Kyle.
Would I recommend this book? Yes
Would I read more from this author? Yes

This is a very good book and I enjoyed reading it! When they met he had two family members pass away recently and her life was traumatic also so they made a pact to never lie to each other and never fall for each other. They have been working together for six years and things are beginning to change. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romance!I recommend this book wholeheartedly! It is a very good and clean book and is very romantic.
For a short book, it sure packed a punch!
The characters were really well done.
The situations were heartbreakingly realistic.
The secondary characters were the epitome of supporting characters!
