Holy WOW!! Audrey has done it again!!!
I really enjoyed Nova and Liam’s story so much!! The storyline, the twists and turns, and how they come to be. LOVED IT!
Nova keeps having these guys show up saying she needs to pay her father’s debt. She doesn’t owe anyone anything.
Then she spots the hottie like that likes to run past her place every morning while she’s having coffee.
Their mutual friends have been trying to set them up on a date, and they’re on their way to their date, separately, and little does Nova know, those guys have another plan for her. But who’s close by? LIAM OF COURSE!
Liam lost someone close to him and now wants to protect Nova, but Nova keeps trying to push him away. It did get on my nerves how she kept going on about how she was rejected so many times from her family, but I get where she was coming from. She was protecting herself.
With Nova acting like that Liam just keeps pushing his way into her life. She can’t put him off for too much longer.
I really loved how protective of Nova Liam is. And it all comes to a head when he gets to her house and she’s GONE! Not gone, but TAKEN!
Can Liam find her in time?
Can Nova open up and let Liam in?
I also really enjoyed that you got see Jane and Trey again, and Tyler and Zac from the previous books.
Audrey, keep writing, cause you are an amazing author, and storyteller!
Another wonderful story by the amazingly talented Audrey Ravine.
Liam had me from the very beginning. Falling in love with his blue eyes and that of his husky’s . Nova is one tough babe who I enjoyed reading about as well. Together they are amazing. Another couple who heals each other and make each other complete. Five shiny stars Audrey.
Nova and Liam’s story is definitely a slow burn. Their past holds them both back but also draws them together in unexpected ways.
I loved this story even though it starts out a little slow. I relate to Novas character and my heart aches for Liam.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more by Audrey.
Ever since we first met Nova, I’ve been anticipating her story in the Healing series.
The book starts out with the death of Nova’s estranged father. As his only surviving relative, she is forced to head to Virginia to deal with his estate—but ends up finding there is much more to her fathers sordid past than she bargained for.
Liam and Nova are both haunted by personal issues that happened in their past. Both have felt tragic loss in their lives. Liam has brutally lost someone he loved. This causes Liam to want to protect Nova from the same fate. The problem? Nova’s life of rejection has hardened her. She’s a badass chick, who feels as if she doesn’t need to be protected—since she’s always had to look out for number one. It’s a great combination of conflict, causing them struggle as their feelings for each other deepen.
This is a bit of a slow-burn compared to Audrey’s other books, but I loved the anticipation and the excitement of the will-they-won’t they. You can feel the heat sizzling between Liam and Nova, and trust me, the payoff is worth the wait. Add in the suspense of Russian mobsters and you’ve got one helluva page turner here. So, read this, but better yet, start out with Zac’s story in Healing scars and get to know all these wonderful characters. You won’t be disappointed.
