PennyI knew he was trouble from the moment he moved next door, but all I needed was him. He looked out for me, protected me, and became my best friend. I just wish he saw me as more. Sometimes it feels like he does. Especially in those moments when he curls up behind me in bed, pulls me close, and says those two words I long to hear.Truth is, that’s when I feel like I’m truly home… Will he ever … Will he ever feel that too?
Jesse
I think I knew I loved her since she gave me that first cup of awful lemonade. Before I gave her apologies in paper airplanes. Before I snuck in her window at night. Before I was ready to cross that fine line. Then we blurred that line and she was all I wanted. But I think it’s too late. I waited too long to tell her how I feel.
Truth is, I’ll never truly be home unless I’m with her… Am I too late?

Always You is book 4 in Lindsay Becs Always Series and this story is about Penny all grown up, and what a story!! Penny and Jesse meet when he moves in next door with his aunt after a tragedy, and Jesse is a pretty angry young man, but Penny gets through his defenses and they become the very best of friends….even when they become adults that friendship is still just as strong, only now there are other emotions and feelings coming to the surface. I really wanted to smack both Penny and Jesse at times because they allowed situations and misunderstandings get in the way, that is until they actually talked, and told each other how they really felt about each other. I absolutely loved this book, and love Lindsay, and also am mad at her for the ending!! Oh, and Jesse is MINE, MINE, MINE!!!!! Y’all really need to read this series from the beginning for those that haven’t read it, and by the way…why haven’t you read it??? Lol now the wait begins for the next book, which is gonna be torture, but know the wait is gonna be so worth it!! Thank you Lindsay for writing such amazing books that I absolutely adore
First of all, if you are new to this series, go back now, and read Always before you move forward. This book will not resonate as deeply unless you read the entire series. Reading this book was so bittersweet for me as I’ve followed this sweetheart, Penny from her debut in book 1. In each book, Lindsay gave us a glimpse of her as she grew, her relationships with her brother Ollie, sister Tatum and single dad Travis. I cannot tell you enough how much I love this unusual family. Watching them grow as a unit and building their own lives through this series has been just wonderful.
This book focuses on Penny or LP. Now all grown up, Penny is trying to forge ahead in life and figure out who she is, what she wants and the exact nature of her relationship/friendship with Jesse, the boy next door. Timing seems to always be an issue with these two, and a life choices drive them apart. Will time change them for the better or worse? Can they forget the distance? Are the growing apart? Are they meant for each other or someone else? So many emotions. I laughed, cried, got mad, swooned. In short, this was a fast, fun read for me because I could not put it down. I was sad when I finished because I could read about this family forever.
Thank you Lindsay for not just a great story, but for creating characters I wish I knew in real life.
Great book.
