From bestselling author T.K. Chapin comes an inspirational romance that reminds us that love never fails.
“You were the beacon of hope in my life when I was in darkness.”
Eli and Amy were best friends long before they became something more. They grew up together, and eventually fell in love. Being with one another was as natural as breathing air. Then the unthinkable happened—Amy had to move … another was as natural as breathing air. Then the unthinkable happened—Amy had to move away.
Their two hearts knew that long distance relationships rarely worked out, but that didn’t stop them from trying. Amy and Eli felt that their love isn’t like everybody else’s love in the world. They would make it through the hard times that would eventually befall them. Unfortunately, the two of them found themselves drifting further and further apart until one day all communication stopped.
A decade goes by, and with it lost years of communication not only between Eli and Amy, but for others near to their hearts. When fate brings these two hearts back together once more what will come of it? Will they get the closure they never had? Or will what happened in the last ten years be too much to for their hearts to bare?

I received an advanced reader copy of Waiting on Love from the author, T.K Chapin. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
T.K. is one of my favorite authors simply for his ability to create captivating characters that make you care about them, and become vested in their lives. Amy and Eli are two of these characters. Waiting on Love is the story of high school sweethearts who encounter circumstances that break their hearts and drive them physically and emotionally apart. Due to circumstances beyond her control Amy has to move away from her hometown, and away from Eli just as their long friendship is turning into romance. Years go by, life happens, but they have never stopped thinking about one another, even though they think they other may have forgotten them.
This story pulls you in and invests you in their relationship. You will find yourself feeling their sadness, their pain, and their happiness.
A love story that began in fifth grade, that was growing through high school, then suddenly delayed.
Amy and Eli were growing in love, and spent a lot of time together. Eli told her he loved her, and always would. She felt the same. Then, one night something happened and her mother left, and she and her father had to move to his sister’s house, far away. They sent text messages back and forth, but that eventually ended after a couple of years. He was able to go to Julliard, as a pianist, and stayed and played for the symphony. Since they never kept up with texts, he tried to move on; but it was hard. Years later, he got an invitation to their high school reunion, and he decided to go, hoping he might see her there.
Both are Christians, but that doesn’t always make things clear in a case like theirs. She was afraid, and he left thinking he should just move on. However, God had a plan for them, even if they couldn’t understand it. This is a great book, and I highly recommend it! T.K. Chapin does a good job of writing realistic stories, with a Christian emphasis!
Odessa,Texas,hot summer.
In a day, Amy lost all: her mother split to her fatherand goes alone to live with another man, her father would change country,Tennessee, so she’ll go with him.
Amy said goodbye to Eli,her dear friend and love. they think every day each other, but many lies from their families keep they separated.
“People come and go..”, “it’s never a waste of time to love someone”.
this book is very nice, it makes me cry more than once, it has good and realistic characters, lovely and inspirational story. thank you TKChapin.
Waiting on love
Eli and Amy definitely had to wait a long time on love. They were good friends but Amy had to move away. Loved the characters, especially Amy and Eli. Her parents had a lot to work out. Loved the little girl in the story. Children always make books better.
Some scenes in the book were sad but was like real life. The author is just keeping it real. The story is one that will stay with me. It is definitely a good book when seem real to you,
I received an advanced copy of the book from the author. This review is my own opinion.
T. K. Chapin always brings you stories that make you think. As 16 year old’s, Amy and Eli had no idea what lay ahead for them. Overnight their world totally changed. This story tells you what happens when you turn the problems over to God. He can turn what seems bad into good. The characters all seem real. You’ve known them. I enjoyed this book.
Oh my this is a heart rending great read. Young love separated too soon. Finding out long distance doesn’t work but the reason why is heart breaking. Over time, will things change for Amy and Eli? A must read. Clean and very well written. Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.
Waiting On Love by T.K. Chapin is a contemporary Christian novel about the power of love.
God’s love is the purest and highest form of love. He is steadfast, walking besides us through our highs and lows. God can turn around our worst times for good (Genesis 49) as He sends others to minister to us in our time of need.
Life does not always turn out as we dream it will but God is always faithful. Even when we make poor choices, God never leaves us.
T.K. Chapin is not afraid to tackle relevant issues. Within the novel there are the themes of alcoholism, adultery and single parenting. Through it all God never leaves us alone. He is there beside us, longing for us to return to Him.
God gives us talents and dreams. Sometimes these change as our focus moves. What may seem impossible to us is possible with God. His love never fails.
There are the themes of hurt, forgiveness and second chances. When we know God, it is never too late to have a fresh start.
I always enjoy T.K. Chapin’s novels as not only are they well-crafted tales but they reveal the heart and faithfulness of God.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
A clean wholesome Christian novel about 2 teens who grow up and their families.
The book deals with real issues in families from a drunken father, a cheating mother, a broken family, and a dying mother and the repercussions that happen to Amy and Eli. Reconciliation occurs when the truth finally surfaced. You can see God at work in this novel.
A lot of heartache for Amy & Eli to work thru in this story. God gave them both time to grow before they saw each other again. I like how Amy finally realized her mistake didn’t make her less in God’s eyes. I’m so glad that God works from the inside out to continue to change us. And that all things do work together for good for those who love God. I love the way Eli did not condemn Amy. And I liked how Viola was called a blessing.
What a beautifully written story about second chances. This book is full of emotions and carries a powerful message about forgiveness. God’s timing is always perfect, even if it takes years to happen. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is a beautiful and heart-warming story. As Amy and Eli have their trials and hardships God is with them, shaping their lives. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good true to life story.
Best friends for years becomes a strong bond of love. But life isn’t simple when a family breaks apart and illness takes another. This story is complex and builds on how God always has a plan for our good. We want what we want and we want it now. But God’s timing is perfect, and He works to bring blessings to His children in the proper time. We so often get in our own way and try to make things happen the way we want them. This book is ideal for showing how we should allow God to direct our way. It is a marvelous story. I truly enjoyed it. I received an advance readers copy from the author. This review is my own personal opinion. I am so glad I was able to read this book!
