Murder wasn’t supposed to be on the menu at the Little Dog Diner, but that’s exactly what we got served anyway.Hi, I’m Dani Mackenzie and I’m the unfortunate soul who owns said diner. Looks like business is going to be slow for a little while as the whole town scrambles to find whodunnit. At first I just needed something to keep me busy while on my forced vacation, but now as the clues stack up, … the clues stack up, I’m caught in the middle of this crazy mixed-up murder. And I’ll do anything to get to the bottom of what really happened and why it happened in my kitchen.
Too bad the only known witness to the crime is the victim’s terrier, Pip, and no one believes she bludgeoned her owner to death. But if not her… then who? And, perhaps more importantly, who’s next?

This is a clean, fun, funny mystery story. I loved Pip, the dog, riding “shot-gun” in the car & her fiesty attitude toward people she doesn’t like. There are lots of suspects in this book that I didn’t guess who the murderer was. I think you would enjoy this book also. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.
Cute little mystery with a side of romance & a feisty little terrier named Pip.
Something is defiantly wrong with Ray, besides his unethical business dealings. Leaving his sister Rhonda, his wife Lily with her best friend Dani searching for clues and answers.
Also involved brothers Frank & Nick, AJ the detective, Marty n his wife Ave “business” associates, is it only 1 to cause trouble? What/how does Rose – Dani’s grandmother business(s) owner, Spencer the owner of Blueberry Acres & his grandson Luke fit in to all this? Grab your copy and find out all the answers.
Nothing fun about owning a diner and then finding your best friends husband murdered in the kitchen. Your diner gets closed so nothing else to do but hunt for the murderer and hope you find them soon so you can get back to work. This story will take you all over the place when figuring out who did it, then following the crazy twist and turns it takes. For a new series it’s a great start and I cant wait to see what comes next. Get your copy today.
There seem to be a lot of murders coming to Blueberry Bay, Maine. I had a hard time solving the murder of Ray Lemay which made the story more interesting. The plot had several twists and turns and a number of interesting suspects too.
I really liked Dani Mackenzie, who works at The Little Dog Diner that her grandmother owns. I also liked Dani’s best friend, Lily who works with Dani at the diner too. Lily was the wife of Ray. Dani’s grandmother Rose, was another great character. I liked how Dani took in Pip, the ten pound Jack Russell that had belonged to Ray. These two become quite the amateur detectives and made the story a lot of fun. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
A short cozy mystery with engaging characters. Plenty of people with motives and written so the murderer is not obvious. It keeps you reading as the main characters Dani, Lily, Rose and the terrier Pip have witty dialogue with believable action. A great start to a fun series
Can Dani solve the murder of her best friend al most ex-husband Ray? Dani and Lily, her BFF, found the body in their dinner and they will try to find the murder while trying to fix everything that Ray dia wrinting in their litlle hometown. A refresing and funñy copy mystery. Daniel Mackenzie is something else.
Intriguing and humorous while captivating. Couldn’t put it down. Held my attention and needed to know what happened. Awesome read. I enjoyed it.
Wonderful start to a new series! This is a cozy mystery that will keep you guessing. It is well written and holds your attention. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Mixing Up Murder is a fun, cozy mystery. There are so many suspects and so many motives but I did not figure out who was the killer! I love the mage of the terrier Pip riding shotgun in the dark green MG! In this book is Dani’s meddling grandmother, her BFF, her former crush, a shady real estate man. his even more iffy clients, a body in her diner, her ransacked apartment and plenty more to keep you entertained. I am looking forward to the next books in this series.
The first book in the series of Little Dog Diner with Pip the Jack Russell Terrier set on Blueberry Bay.
Lots of characters with twisted agendas and plenty of lies and cheating. I never did figure out who the killer was, so that was a surprise ending.
