People say my lady bits are the happiest ones in Cherry Valley…I wouldn’t disagree.See, I’m the biggest flirt in this small town, and I make no apologies for dishing out hot stuff…And I’m not just talking about the delicious food I serve at my family’s diner! There’s only one guy around who isn’t getting any of what Grace Milton has on the menu–And that’s because Deputy Jesse Herrera is on … menu–
And that’s because Deputy Jesse Herrera is on my no-go list. He already had his chance, and things didn’t end with, shall we say…
A cherry on top of the creamy sundae?
Everyone in town LOVES to poke fun at our notoriously busted romance, so I do everything I can to avoid Jesse. But then we’re both asked to recruit singletons for a dating auction during the Cherry Festival, and things come to a…head.
This isn’t just a battle of the sexes here — it’s the battle of the EXES, and when we up the stakes with a bet, I’m not going to let Jesse get the best of me.
Even if my lady bits tingle every time he gets near…

Until next time… Happy Reading!
I didn’t much care for Grace in Hot for a Hero but her and Jesse’s interactions had me intrigued and I had to read her story. It took a while to warm up to Grace but there was another side of her that need to be seen.
Be careful what you put up for auction
Back in Cherry Valley we are once again reading about Gracie Milton, twin sister to Gwen (Hot for a Hero, Book 3). Gracie and Jessie are having a hard time with each other. They have a major magnetic connection to each other but are not sure if it is sizzling chemistry or dueling enemy. Gracie owns and runs the Milton Diner with her sister and mother. Jessie is a Deputy for Cherry Valley. These two have a lot of back and forth but they are forced to work together to organize an auction for the town’s Cherry Festival.
Cady Gilmore has once again wrapped the reader into the world of Cherry Valley and it’s quirky and loving inhabitants. The background of each book is the town with various characters popping up throughout the books, which is nice as it is like visiting with old friends and getting caught up a bit over a coffee, tea or glass of wine.

Entertaining small town romance. This is an entertaining, witty romance about two people, Grace and Jesse who have loved each other since high school but insecurities prevented them from admitting it to themselves, let alone to each other. Grace is now 30 and they still play the same cat and mouse game. Following a disastrous sexual encounter, they try avoiding each other but the heart must have what the heart demands. Their continuing story follows our heroes through the town’s Cherry Festival where their competitive spirit pits them against one another. Jess, the one-time quarterback, now Deputy Sheriff is quite a player. Grace’s memories of her emotionally abusive father puts the stamp on her ability to enter into any kind of lasting, non-superficial relationship. They develop a kind of truce but again fall victim to their lack of communication and willingness to risk being hurt by being honest with each other. All the characters of the book are well developed and the dialogue is witty and non-repetitive. There is a welcome dynamism to the story, along with a rarely-found regard among the inhabitants of the town to each other which I found quite refreshing. Events and the characters’ emotions were very well described, although I found myself at times impatient particularly with Grace’s continuing insecurities. The story fortunately allows for clarity to triumph and the result is an HEA for the couple. The book is a nice, light-hearted clean romance that often made me laugh. Good editing enhanced the experience.

This was my first time reading a book from this author and all I can say is WOW!!!! AWESOME!!! Her story and word building were off the charts. Her story pulled me in and kept me reading hungering for more until the end. It,s a fast paced LOL funny read that will have people wondering what your laughing at. Jesse and Gracie are hot and steamy together. They had a incident in their past that drives their adult relationship. They have feelings for each other and are interested in one another but walk on glass around each other. There,s a cherry festival in town and the two of them are put n charge of a singles auction, Let the laughs begin. It,s a must read if you like romance and laughter and one you,ll have to grab to find out if they get their HEA. I,ll definitely be reading all in this series!

What does one flirt plus another flirt equal COMBUSTIBLE! Grace and Jesse are each other’s best/worst foe. This highly entertaining read has many antics with this couple and the whole town of Cherry Valley. Love the fact that this storyline was fun but it also had heart for the main characters to take a good look at themselves and discover what they truly want for their lives.

I loved to see them hate each other
The story is very well written, humorous, a bit warm and tender, with excellent characters.
I was anxiously awaiting the story of Grace and Jesse because of the innuendo of their past history in the previous volumes, including the reasons for her permanent escape as soon as Jesse entered the diner. But finally, very quickly, we understand that the two think that the other is a monster of ego that will never accept the other since their disastrous night, despite the attraction that they deny now both.
When they find themselves having to find candidates, in addition to themselves, for an auction with singles for a charity, with a bet at the end between them, the tension goes up a notch.
