First impressions might not be the only thing in their way… have to leave Venice. He’ll even help with a reality show that goes against everything he believes classical music should be.
When Lorenzo gets assigned as Megan’s cameraman, they both know it’s trouble.
He hates that she doesn’t take her music seriously.
She swore she’d never date a musician.
But though their verbal clashes are causing sparks, so is their attraction. Can Megan trust a decision influenced by her heart? Or will she stick to her plan and let an ocean come between her and her stubborn Italian tenor?
This is a sweet romance originally titled Love Victorious in Venice. The books in this series stand alone and can be enjoyed in any order.

I didn’t like Lorenzo at first. He was rude and ungentlemanly to Megan after she accidentally knocked him into the water. He’s not happy with his job as Tom’s assistance and takes out on her. He was rigid about his singing, but Megan and the singing gondolier Raffaele help him see other possibilities without compromising his ideals. Megan seems to play it safe with a degree in music education and playing her cello with precision, but not passion. I was surprised she would take a risk by going on a reality show competition in a foreign country. I was glad that despite the fact that the show pushed for more drama to increase the viewers and ratings Megan refused to compromise her integrity. I loved reading about the parts of Venice that are not just tourist destinations like the theater that was converted into a grocery store. It was great to read how the natives lived and more about the history and culture.
This book will make you want to go to Venice and visit the sights, the people, hear the music and the language of passionate people like the characters in this book. Their passion and true love comes out in the end and cannot be denied any longer.
It was interesting to have a television reality show centered around people and instruments they play in an orchestra with the chance to win a year’s contract. The main characters and secondary characters were wonderful in how the story was woven around them, the city and the music they were so passionate about. There were even characters that provided the reader with angst and the characters. with grief as you wanted to dislike them.
I really enjoyed the tension and banter between Lorenzo and Megan. They both seemed to rub each other the wrong way yet you could feel the chemistry between them that they were both trying to deny. I also enjoyed how they eventually were able to break down walls and bring out the best in each other if only for a short time.
It is funny how if we truly listen with out heart we cannot deny what really holds our passion and touches our soul. Thank goodness Megan and Lorenzo listened. I loved the epilogue. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Finding love in Venice, what could be more romantic? Megan and Lorenzo developing their romance in a romantic location was fun to read. The story line is entertaining and it’s nice to read a clean wholesome romance story. A delightful read for sure.

Book two in the Love Takes Flight series a well written story that had me smiling. Lorenzo and Megan will have a lot to go through before they get their happy ending. I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The characters were well drawn and the story pacing was good. I love all the little glimpses for Venice––enough to visualize the setting but not so much as to get bogged down with descriptions.
I loved this book the cello is not easily played Megan played beautifully but not with any emotion until they made a video of her and she put her heart and soul into the classical music she loves.
Lorenzo to begin with a stuffed shirt to Megan but when he needed to he stepped up to the plate .
I couldn’t stop reading it so sat up way late!!
I can’t wait to read the next one I was an ARC reader so I got a free book for a review!
