Lora’s not quite ready to take the next step with Clint. Before she can do so her friend is in trouble and needs help. It doesn’t take long for Lora to realize her friend is in deep and she’s the only one who believes everything will work out. Will seeing a new side of Clint doom their fledgling relationship before it gets off the ground? Or will she have compassion for a past that makes the … presence difficult to watch?
Clint wants to give Lora all the time she needs after her rough divorce. He understands. He really does. Except now he’s watching her fall head over heels into helping a friend with secrets that aren’t his to tell and he’s not sure he’s ready to watch history repeat itself.
As the attraction between Clint and Lora deepens they’ll each have to make some choices, both about each other and what they want out of the future.
Note: This is women’s fiction with romantic elements which get stronger as the series progresses.

I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lora is still getting over her nasty divorce, and not ready to move on yet. Clint would like more from her than friendship, but he’s a patient man. Her friend Trisha is in trouble – addiction and money – and Lora might not be able to help her. If she tries, it might mess up possibilities with Clint. Trisha has secrets, and Clint knows, but won’t get up in her business. I thought the last book was okay, but I really got into this book. The characters are real, and nothing about the story line is fluff – this is real life. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.`

The second book in the Western Star series a well written book, this series is just getting better from book to book. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After a very public divorce from Billy, Lora is working to move on. Clint is around, but a much more subtle presence than her bull rider ex.
Things also seem strained between as Lora tries to be there for her friend Trisha.
Does a lukewarm reception from lint mean he is unreliable or unfeeling? The limited details he gives from his family history and past reveal a drugs/ drinking situation for his sister ended badly.
Some broken dreams need to be mourned and moved on from.
What happens next for these three depends what lengths they are willing to go, and how little excitement LorA can tolerate with kinda vanilla Clint.
My input? Trisha is too new to recovery to be a decent prospect current, but she would be far more interesting than mister boring. Lots of complicated layers with hurricane Trisha- would it be worth the ride or the risk of the damage to their long held friendship?

Really good story so far.
If you want to read a true to life story than pick this one up. The author shows real insight into the working of the character mind and soul. The author did not skirt around some pretty important issues that made it a very interesting story. I enjoyed the book this is the second one I read. The books are different I think they feel more real. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
