A sexy single dad fights for the woman he wants in the most emotional stand-alone romance you’ll read this year. MARCO I have loved Rosa since I met her in high school English, even though the odds have always been stacked against us. She is the child of criminals, resigned to a bleak future. I’m the heir to a successful construction company and am not afraid to go after what I want. And I want … I want.
And I want Rosa. Always and forever.
ROSA
I broke the law to make sure Marco got custody of our daughter, and I paid the price. But now that I’m out of jail, I’m terrified my ugly past might bleed into our daughter’s future.
The only way to ensure that doesn’t happen is staying far away from both of them.
But Marco isn’t letting me run from him. Not again.

Rosa and Marco, well, they broke my heart. They broke it when they were teenagers; they broke it when they were young adults trying to make life work; they broke it as the parents they are, trying to do what is best for their daughter.
Marco wants Rosa, only Rosa, and has since he first laid eyes on her in high school. He had her, but he lost her. He had her again for a brief shining moment, and then he lost her for years. He thought he’d have her again, but she rejected him, and then turned away from him at every possible moment. He aches he wants her so much, and that makes him angry and confused
Rosa, oh, as Rosa’s story unfolds, and unfolds, and unfolds, you cry for her. She went through so much and kept trying to do right, but life kept tracking her down. She is single-minded in her devotion, and doesn’t consider anything else. She hurts, is hurts, does hurt, but for her, it is for the best of Marco and their daughter. Then the full truth comes out, and you crack right there with her. That crack, that moment, sets things in motion.
Marco and Rosa, they broke my heart, but they made it, finally. They had the rockiest of paths, and it cut them and hurt them, but the love they felt for each other, it held them until they could get it all together again. They made it in the end, but their scars will touch your soul as much as it formed theirs. A brilliant story with a woman who did everything right, and the man who wouldn’t let her forget how loved she truly was!
Need You Now was wonderful. It’s angsty, emotional and sexy. I loved Rosa’s story. It was well worth the worth. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

I love a good second chance romance that fills me with emotions. Rosa touched my heart. This woman has been through so much, from an awful father and half-brother that I wasn’t sure she would ever be able to free herself from to a wretched foster home where I wasn’t sure there would be a light at the end of the tunnel for her. But through it all, her light was Marcos. I wasn’t sure how it was all going to come together, but Molly O’Keefe gives a story that is full of despair yet hope and love. The writing is so engaging and the intertwining of the past with the present gives you the feelings of what the children in the foster home were going through. The story is raw and the emotions deep.
It’s hard for Rosa to be able to move on from her past and allow herself to feel and be loved. Her journey is difficult and bleak, but she is a fighter and it’s beautiful to watch her gain her future. Marcos is a shining star and her rock. Need You Now is a heartfelt, touching story.
“Either way, I knew it was going to be you. The second you looked up at me in that English class….”
“What did you know?”
“That you would change my life.”
Need You Now is a complete standalone inside The Debt world (Tommy, Beth, Simon, Rosa and Carissa at St. Jokes!) In the home of St. Judes or St. Jokes the five children live through unspeakable things and yet they all come out with a bond and owing a debt after one hellish night of escape.
This is the third story in The Debt series that features Rosa and her boyfriend Marco (Yes, I realize this is the 4th book, but I’ll argue that the first two books was really 1 story since it was a duet). Of the five children this book in particular can be read as a standalone without having read the prior ones. Molly does a fantastic job of interweaving the past with the present so you get a sense of what the children went through without having to have read the entire plot line. However, the series is really fantastic, so if you haven’t read it, I highly encourage you to do so.
Need You Now is a new adult, second chance love story about a girl that originally only has two goals in life; have a healthy baby and making sure that baby gets with Marco, the baby daddy. Once she actually achieves the miraculous escaping of St. Jokes, which helps in achieving the custody part and also sets her on the path of having a healthy baby, she doesn’t know what to do with the rest of her life, considering she is a convicted felon and is separated from Marco and her child for four years. Life seems bleak when she’s only ever had two goals and she’s never really had much of a future.
Marco has only ever loved Rosa. His entire life has been built around the future of her in it. When she doesn’t return to him after her release from prison he is a torn man. Not only is he a single father, but he finds that he might be at the end of waiting for his life to begin. When a mysterious man appears offering up information on where Rosa is working Marco has a decision to make, find his future, or continue to wait for his future to find him.
Need You Now is explosive with a huge punch in the emotions!! If you loved The Debt series then you will love this story.
I love a touching, emotional romance that you feel deep in your soul, but they rarely make me cry. This story though – good golly, Miss Molly, Rosa ruined me! She held my heart in her hands, from the very beginning with her time in a vile foster home and her horrible father and brother, and all the way through to the end of the book. She’s strong and smart and determined, but the deck is stacked against her, and it’s no wonder she’s waiting for the other shoe to drop.
In an effort to avoid spoilers, I won’t give you a synopsis, but I have to tell you more about these amazing characters! Rosa had a really rough childhood, and the one bright light in a bleak existence was Marco, until circumstances separated them. Rosa is knocked down time and time again, and somehow she gets back up to keep on fighting, every single time. Marco has a lot of responsibility placed upon him when he’s hardly more than a kid himself, but he works diligently to make a better life for his family and he never gives up on Rosa. Even after four years without her, Marco has faith that his family will one day be whole.
If you like a book with vivid, complex, realistic, endearing characters, you’ll find them here. Their story is heartfelt, poignant and angsty, their struggles are authentic and relatable, and you’ll be cheering for them the whole way through. You’ll fall hard for Rosa, Marco and little Arielle, and they’ll leave you wanting more even as you finish the book with a full heart and a happy sigh. *I read an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
When you use up a box of kleenex reading a book without stop for nine hours, you know that book honestly rates twice five stars. What a heart-twister: Marco and Rosa’s love match was thwarted by teenage mistakes including Rosa getting pregnant at sixteen, being forced into grand theft auto by her no-good father, and then being sent to a juvenile home where terrible abuse was going on. When she plans a 24-hour escape in order to make sure Marco gets custody of their baby, the four other ‘guests’ of the home stab the Pastor to death. It seems Rosa takes a couple steps forward and a tsunami rushes forward to push her back a mile! When will she get to start the future the two of them planed so many years ago? O’Keefe has a way with words that enable us to be totally invested in the happy future they plan that gets crushed over and over for the innocent Rosa while Marco holds everything together waiting desperately! Recommended!
I need to just say that Molly O’Keefe is an auto-buy for me. I don’t even need to read the blurb with her books, and as a matter-of-fact, I didn’t with this one. I just know Molly O’Keefe writes stellar books, so I automatically want it. And NEED YOU NOW proves why. This beautiful, emotional second chance contemporary romance had me sitting on the edge of my seat, then pressing a hand to my chest then damn near crying, then swooning.
I didn’t know this was another installment in the series surrounding the kids from the St. Jude’s Home for Juveniles. And if you’ve read the other books, you know the hell that was St. Jude’s. While the other kids were lucky to receive a new start, Rosa was not. She and Marco were separated through circumstances, a turn of fate and jail. And even when they find each other again, there’s still so much between them. Fear, uncertainty, family… And I knew they were going to find their way back to each other–it’s a romance, after all–but man, was I nervous about how they were going to get there. How Rosa could ever escape her nightmare of a family. How Marco could completely forgive and trust her.
What can I say other than I loved it? Every page. I loved it. We get to see the characters from the other books, including the mysterious Bates. I can’t wait until his and Carissa’s book! I sooo want their story! Marco and Rosa went through so much for their HEA, and I enjoyed every step of it. If you’re looking for a book filled with passion, romance, heart break, emotion, pain and soooo much love, then do yourself a favor and snatch this book up! Molly O’Keefe delivers again!
This is the first book I have read of Molly’s. And now I’m sitting here asking myself, “why did I wait so long?” This book had so much emotion packed into it! I understand that this is a stand alone, but it is branching off of the Debt series. This book is about Rosa and Marco. I actually wasn’t aware of the other books and was not lost at all! But I now want to read them really bad. Rosa is doing everything she can to stay away from Marco. She feels that she is bad for him and that her family will always be watching her. Never really letting her be free. Marco has always loved Rosa and has never given up hope that they’d be together in the end. I don’t want to give to much away. But I am going to say that this book is amazing and it is a must read.
4*
Rosa & Marco loved each other and were happy about the baby. Unfortunately a mistake landed her at st. Jude’s home.
Marco is desperate to help her and get custody of his daughter but can they succeed?
I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and can’t wait for “ I warned you” Bate’s story and for Clarissa’s to have her story told.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Loved Marco and Rosa! Rosa is fierce in her desire to keep her past from touching her husband and her little girl. Marco is determined to make Rosa see that they are stronger together than apart. Can they beat all the obstacles in their paths? Another great read from Molly O’Keefe!
