This book has a completely different feel from the first one. The poetry and flow is out the door and gives way to a stark reality, multiple perspectives, past and present tale. A second chance with a whole lot of steam.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength and happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

This is the first time I have read anything by this author, and she has a really beautiful writing style that drew me in to the story straight away. I love how the characters came to life and had so much depth to them. A truly wonderful book.

This is book two in the Muse & Music series. I have read book one and Kat is Sera’s friend so you get to know a bit about her. It is not necessary to read book one to enjoy this book. On to Kat’s story where the book blurb will capture your attention and get your mind going on what this book could be about. Be prepared to have the rug pulled out from under you, at least that is what I felt when reading this book, it is all good though. The world works differently for everyone and sometimes a HEA is never traditional, it is bumpy with non traditional decisions but in the end the characters continue to grow and capture your heart. I will continue reading this series in book three.

“You’re more than background music for someone else’s life.”
Background Music is such a beautifully written and complex story. The point of views of each character in both the past and present really allow you to absorb the full story and connect with the characters on a deeper level. The topics that this book touches on hit the nail right on the head. The scenarios and character reactions are so completely believable, and they really have you feeling for the characters, wishing the best for them, and hoping that they overcome any obstacle that is in their way. Kat and Reese deal with a lot of emotional issues in this book. It is great to see how both of their characters grow and develop as the story goes on and how they are able to find happiness with each other despite what they experienced in their pasts, both with each other and in other relationships.
BREATH-TAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
Held captive and put through the wringer as the emotions pushed and shoved and demanded everything from me throughout this gripping story that left me reeling for days and looking forward to reading more of this authors brilliant work.
