He’s the son of guitar legend, Tommy Blade. He’s smart. He’s gorgeous. He’s talented beyond belief. He’s perfect. And he knows it. He’s also giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. He’s trying to teach me his wisdom, but I just want to play music. He’s so damn confident and self-assured it makes me crazy. He’s also breaking through all of my barriers. She’s a spitfire. She’s got a smart mouth and … smart mouth and an answer for everything. I’m trying to help her, but she’s fighting me every step of the way. She challenges me, something no one has ever done before. I can’t stand her, but I can’t stop thinking about her, either.
Lucas Blade was born into a world of extravagance.
Sindy Cavanaugh can barely afford to pay for necessities.
He has a close and loving family who support him.
She has dysfunctional parents who only call her for money.
Their backgrounds couldn’t be more different, but music brought them together.
From the moment they meet, they challenge one another with defiant attitudes and oversized egos, and their constant arguing disrupts rehearsals. They come to realize that the turbulence between them is really only a guise for suppressed passion. With their band about to go mainstream, they need to figure out if they should put their feelings on hold or risk everything they’ve worked toward.

Lucas Blade is the first book in the Radical Rock Stars Next Generation Duet. I have read all the books in the first generation off Radical Rock Stars so I was excited when I seen a post that the kids stories were being written. Lucas, his sister Tessa, and Mason, formed a band called Prodigy. Their dialogue reminds me of how I’m with my own sibling, the teasing, taunting, speak your mind. They made me laugh. They have decided to add a rhythm guitarist, and in walks saucy Sindy. And boy does Sindy blow Lucas’s mind. Get your mind out of the gutter I mean the way she can play her guitar. I liked the story, and seeing past characters as well as meeting the new ones. Looking forward to Tessa and Mason’s story next.
What a fabulous book. I loved it! Spending time with the offspring of Immortal Angel has been a joy. Lovely characters, a deep love of music, a tender, sweet love story between two gorgeous characters in Lucas and Sindy and the opportunity to spend time with the hotness that is Tommy, Angel and Jessi.
This is not a book with wrung out characters and heaps of angst and this is refreshing. It just is a charming story that had me sighing in pleasure. Sindy is such a tough yet vulnerable person and Lucas…well he’s just a total sweetheart. Read and enjoy.
***Possible Spoilers***
I enjoyed getting to know the adult children of the Immortal Angels’ family. Getting back in touch with the members of Immortal Angel is a huge bonus. They are still deeply enamored of their spouses and continue to share a great passion.
This is a kinder, gentler Radical Rock Stars world. The bad boys and girls have relaxed into their adulthood and, except for their still powerful gifts and sexual appetites, have moved past the rawness that defined that series.
Lucas Blade has the looks and talent of a bad boy rocker, but at heart, he is gentle, kind and loving. He loves music and performing, but once he falls in love, he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that person happy even if it means hiding their relationship.
Sindy has had a hard life and is in awe of the lifestyle in which Lucas and his family live. She has a good work ethic and doesn’t hesitate to do what needs to be done to live and succeed in her regular life. The opportunity to become a member of Prodigy is something she finds hard to believe in, but once she is secure in the belief that it will happen, she decides that she cannot be happy on a personal level until some obscure future date. I wanted to slap her for that.
The hunger that Sindy and Lucas share is strong and they are unable to deny it for very long, falling into each other’s arms without thought for the consequences, only for Sindy to deny them each time. Yeah. She needs a good pop.
This is, on the whole, a sweet romance. Life is very easy for these people, with none of the wildness and over the top angst of previous books. It is well written, and there is a good flow to the work. I care about the characters even when I want to ground them and send them to their rooms.
I look forward to Book 2.
This is the 1st book of the next generation of the Radical Rock Stars, the kids of Immortal Angel, Lucas, his sisters Tessa and Mason. They have a band called Prodigy, introducing new member Sindy to their world and band comes with challenges, she is on her own and struggling to pay bills and they are kids of rich famous rock stars. Lucas and Sindy have a chemistry and read the book for the story…….fast-paced and well written, romance, humor and hot rock star are an added plus!!!
Lucas is the son of legendary rocker Tommy Blade. He has grown up in the rock lifestyle and knows of it’s pitfalls. He is used to getting any woman he wants but Sindy, his sister’s best friend is different. Sindy is used to fending for herself, with parents that only bother her for money. She is part of the band but the chemistry between her and Lucas is electric. Will the couple be able to have band and relationship or will things fall apart? A good low angst read that you can relax and chill out with just to read.
Lucas Blade is book one in the Radical Rock Stars next generation duet and the son of Tommy Blade. It’s pretty scary (not in a bad way) how much the kids are like their parents. It’s like two peas in a pod just moved a generation.
Lucas was born into this life and while his parents taught him not to spend foolishly, he’s used to getting any girl without trying cause of the limelight. That’s until he meets Sindy.
Sindy sure is a spit fire, challenges Lucas and though they are from complete opposite backgrounds shows she just wants to make music and the interaction with Tessa is true friendship. Fate had a little way with Sindy and you shall see why.
Love how Lucas wanted to separate their band from Immortal to show they made it cause of the music and not their connections. If you’ve read Radical Rock Stars you’ll love seeing these characters; if you have not read them as you will see in this story you will fall in love with them. Be sure to check out their stories! This story will keep you glued to your device seeing how this plays out. Love the ending and can’t wait for Mason’s story! Not a bad cliffy for a duet as you usually see-so that’s Radical! haha
Coming back to the world that is Immortal Angel gave me all the feels! I love when the next generation gets their own story. We get a peak into my favorite trios lives now that they grown kids and see that their love and connection is as strong as ever.
Lucas, Tessa and Mason are ready to take their band to the masses they just needed one more addition to round out their sound and in walks Sindy. She was the perfect fit for them.
Lucas and Sindy are electric when it comes to music and once they let that electricity translate into the bedroom it’s off the charts. Sindy is sassy and has huge walls that Lucas is ready to scale. It’s nice to see the guy being more of the romantic.
The banter between brother and sister as well as lifetime friend Mason was funny and natural. The relationship between Lucas and his father Tommy Blade was one of my favorite parts of the book.
I am really looking forward to Mason and Tessa’s story!
