This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Immortal Promise by Kim Lorraine is the second book in her Vampire Mates series. The first book, Forever Claimed, is found in the anthology Vampire Brides presented by Midnight Coven. These stories read as stand alone and are definitely worth the time to enjoy! Kim Lorraine is a new to me author that I discovered when reading the anthology. I found her contribution extremely entertaining and this book proves it wasn’t a fluke. Despite it’s quick read status, this meaty story satisfies and entertains with dry wit and heart stopping sexiness (Mature Readers Only). A great anytime read with well developed characters and a pinch of naughtiness. Looking forward to what comes next.

I’m hooked
Claire is dying when Brandt finds her, his mate, so he turns her to save her. Claire is thrust into the vampire life and she didn’t ask for it. There’s also the matter of the guy that keeps telling her he’s her mate. She pushes back until she can no longer and just when she accepts Brandt he’s ‘taken’ from her by her past actions. She’ll have to fight for their love.
I knew I had to read this story once I read Forever Claimed. Now I’m even more invested in Claire and Brandt and how this story intertwined with The Blackthotne Vampires stories and the magic that looks like it will come in to play. I’m excited for more.
