Crazy for LoveI’m Dominic Clay, owner of Dom’s – the most successful sex club on the strip. I’m also the main attraction.I thought I had it all, until she walked into my world. She was everything I wanted – and everything I couldn’t have. I knew she was bad. Bad for me and bad for herself. A vulnerability all too easy to manipulate. I should have refused her. Should have said no thanks and sent … thanks and sent her packing. But I didn’t.
I’m Lacey Jones, named after the material my week-old self was wrapped up in and the nurse that found me.
All I ever wanted is to feel safe. To feel loved. But such luxuries are hard to come by when you can’t ever bring yourself to say No to those who want to touch you. I’ve been called a slut and I’ve been called a whore and I probably am those things. But all I need is him. My man. I begged him to take me and promised him everything in return.
90,000 words of true love!

I almost did not finish this book. The physical abuse of a seven-year-old boy and the sexual and physical abuse of an even younger girl was breaking my heart. A drunken father who makes his son watch as he rapes the mother; officials who are supposed to be protecting orphaned children, but beat and rape them. No wonder these two broken souls find each other. As soon as Lacey first sees Dom in Benny’s restaurant, she is drawn to him, like a bee to honey; and when Dom sees Lacey holding the sign, asking him to choose her, he knows he is doomed. Even if her look is innocent, she is not. Her life has been full of pain, of beatings and rapes. Adding to this, she is autistic and has an attraction to sex. The attraction they have to one another is immediate love. But Dom’s expensive whore, Anya is in the way, and she is not going to give him up that easily.
We see how Dom can turn from twisted and warped sex with Anya to one of passion and fondness with Lacey. This author knows how to wield his brush as he paints a picture with words that can be beautiful yet vulgar, depending upon the scene. Colours and numbers play a big part in this book as they do in his others. And of course the perpetual crow gets to play a part in the yoga scene.
Although super steamy, this is truly a love story, written in a style that only James Crow can write. Reading his novels is like falling into a river, each stroke leading me deeper into the unknown. You just never know what you are going to get. I adore his writing.
Another Stellar Creation by a Most Unique and Unusual Author…
I have quickly come to recognize James Crow as a boundary pushing author who writes stories so fiercely thought provoking, you are unable to clear his words from your mind for days. His writing is savagely brave and unapologetic, with story landscapes built to be equal parts disturbing and cathartic. And just when I thought I had a handle on the type of boundary pushing tales Crow creates he threw me for an emotional loop with a book like “Crazy For Love”. A genuinely surprising story of a connection between two broken people so pure, honest, and addictively interesting that I was hooked from the very first page.
“Crazy For Love” is the story of Dominic Clay, a powerful Dom and businessman forged into adulthood by an abusive childhood. A childhood that saw him beaten by his drunken father, and forced to witness his mother being both physically and sexually abused. A broken man who now owns casinos and the most popular sex club in the city; a master of the very things he couldn’t control as a child, sex and violence. And Lacey Jones, a sexually abused, twenty-three year old on the autism spectrum, trying to make it through life after enduring a childhood of being passed from foster home to foster home, and everything inbetween. Enduring horrific abuse throughout, because of a anxiety/fear trigger within her that has rendered her incapable of saying “no” to other people’s advances upon her. What follows is a raw, at times stinging and uncomfortable story of survival, betrayal, obsession, self discovery, and love.
It is a deeply reflective story; a story not at all for the easily offended or faint of heart. And if you have any sort of child abuse and/or sexual trauma in your past, this book will poke at it mercilessly. This book will also trigger a boiling rage within you, make you hate the foster care system and despise every dirty, despicable soul within it. It will make you want to swoop in and rescue every little girl like Lacey and shield them from the world. But most importantly, this book will make you think deeply about the world around you, and how people like Dom and Lacey truly come to be.
This book has twists and turns so forceful in their nature it will steal your breath. And it contains a joint journey of self discovery and healing so profound it will, at times, overwhelm your senses.
Another stellar creation by a most unique and unusual author. Definitely a must read in my opinion!
Phenomenal!
A story like no other, you will be be sucked straight into this tale and won’t want to come up for air until the very end. Such a fitting title, this book ticked all my boxes. Full of feels, angst, scorching hot scenes, and numerous moments that will pull at your heart strings.
Lacey is such a fascinating character. With her tragic background, her vulnerability is a siren that can’t go unheard. The powerful feelings she has for Dom, knocked me sideways as it just radiates off the pages.
Dom, is a spectacular alpha – he definitely had me drooling. His attraction to Lacey is mesmerising but his commitments to others, make for a perfect storm and a thrilling read.
Mr Crow has this knack of submerging a reader fully into the story, where your mind thinks of nothing else. I’m confident that you will smile, laugh, cry and shout out obscenities, while you ride out this phenomenal story
Crazy for Love – Is one hell of a read, it is raw, real, emotional – will leave you in tears of sadness, joy and laughter.
Dominic Clay – WoW I loved him, the sexy owner of his own sex club, confident, cocky and seems to have everything at his feet. But he hides behind smoke & mirrors, the one thing money cannot buy is true love, a crazy love.
Lacey Jones – A sweet little doll, her story is heart breaking but she sees her soul mate the one man that she wants to say YES to, but she must slay a dragon first.
This is a crazy love story and things do not run smoothly, along the way we take an emotional journey through the past lives of both Lacey & Dom and of course in true James Crow style we experience some sizzling kinky sex scenes.
