She’s one hell of a free spirit and he’s determined to catch her… “I know who you are. And I couldn’t care less,” she answered. Her eyes bore into his, silently challenging him. He knew his bandmates would have flipped their shit over a chick saying something like that to them. To Wilson, it sent a charge through his body.He leaned toward her and whispered conspiratorially, “This is the part … conspiratorially, “This is the part where you’re supposed to tell me your name.”
She mirrored him and came close, bringing her face just inches from his. She smelled like campfire and clover fields and patchouli, like a wild woman. She looked like a wild woman too—her hair hung to her waist in messy, careless waves, and strands of white flowers, picked from the field, were woven throughout her curls. There wasn’t a stitch of makeup on her face, and her wrists were layered with bracelets that clinked as she moved.
Her breath rolled across his cheeks in gentle puffs. “This is the part where you learn the tough life lesson that you don’t always get what you want.”
Oh man, did he want her. Maybe he was an entitled rock star who only wanted what he couldn’t have. Or maybe she was the first person in a long time to say no. He loved a challenge. When was that last time he actually had to actually seduce a girl?
He couldn’t even remember.
You will love this quick, steamy short story with an obsessive rock star, a sassy heroine, and a lot of lip.
This book is a standalone story in the Deep Desires series.

Flowers in Her Hair by Liza Mitchell is about a girl named Izzy who is working at a summer music festival. By working the concierge table eight hours a day, she gets a free ticket to the festival which allows her to camp on the grounds. One morning while having a terrible day she meets Wilson, a famous musician and the sparks fly. This is a short segment in time not even really a complete story which is quite good but needs more to be considered complete. Flowers in Her Hair is one scene only of a sexy short story.
The rock star and the girl who said no
Free spirited Ozzie has been spending the summer, traveling from one rock festival to the next. Working off jobs and camping out of her VW bus.
Wison is a big folk pop artist who longs for the freedom of the early days of his career, when his band mates were his friends and not business partners and their music was their own and his parents festival was small and a family atmosphere. Then he meets Izzy in the midst of an early morning melt down and she is not impressed by who he is.
Fast paced and steamy. Loved Wilson and Izzie.
Flowers In Her Hair is a very quick, well written love story between a rock star and the only woman to tell him no. I loved that she didn’t let the fact that Wilson was a rock star affect her and he had to work for her love. The story is sweet, fun and steamy. My only complaint is that it was very short.
The author did a great job of bringing these characters to life being well developed and engaging made for an amazingly smooth storyline that flowed well from each word written.

This was definitely a quick and dirty read! Izzy is manning the concierge station at a music festival so she can get a ticket. Wilson is part of Blue Heron, one of the biggest names playing the festival. She reams him out and treats him like a regular person and he loves it. He hunts her down at her campsite and takes her on a walk to the most scenic spot on the property. She is still telling him no, as a tease and they hook up. He invites her to go touring with him for the rest of the summer.

Learning that you don’t always get what you want and sometimes you have to actually pursue it
Flowers in Her Hair is a super cute and flirty, quick and easy read. Plus there is a bit of around the campfire cracking heat.
Liza Mitchell has produced a well written story about Izzy and Wilson. She is a young woman following the summer festival circuit who works in exchange for her tickets. She camps under the stars, stays fairly to herself, plays a guitar that belonged to her father and dislikes the over privileged musicians and VIP’s that she has to help working at the concierge desk. Wilson is the lead singer of Blue Heron, a major head-lining band. He has grown jaded by everything that is readily available to him. However, he is about to have his interest completely set on fire when Izzy says one simple word……….NO. It seems that he has not had anyone say that to him for a long time and he is intrigued by her and all he knows is he wants her. She on the other hand is not interested and ensure that her feelings are well known in that he does not always get what he wants.
Flowers in Her Hair is an original story with very likeable characters, just Izzy and Wilson. It is told in a dual POV which is nice as you get to see what each is thinking and feeling. This is a perfect short story to pick up when you have an hour on a lazy sunny summer afternoon.

A book in the Deep Desires series a short quick story to read. A well written storyline with a story that flows smoothly across the pages. I enjoyed reading Izzy and Wilson’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Izzy’s working at the music festival in exchange for a ticket. Wilson’s in the hottest band there. Everything he asks is answered with a resounding NO. Enjoyable way to spend an hour – this was very short, but just long enough to get really steamy. Best line ever: “This is the part where you learn the tough life lesson that you don’t always get what you want.”
