It isn’t love at First Sight, or is it?Sparks fly from the moment Gwen and Tyr meet. And as much as they both resist, there’s no denying their fate.Gwen had no clue who she was tempting with her smart mouth and scathing glances. Tyr wanted to put the fiery human in her place. She was hard to ignore, even before he discovered the secret in her blood, a secret that could alter the balance of power … before he discovered the secret in her blood, a secret that could alter the balance of power among vampires. Something had to be done to silence the maddening human.
Tyr was that pompous, overdressed man who frequented the bar. He had the sex appeal of a modern-day Norse god, but the personality of a Viking raider. It didn’t matter that Tyr radiated an unworldly power, Gwen refused to fear him. After all, he wasn’t the only one who was unique. And though he claimed good intention, his actions said otherwise.
First Sight is the story of how Gwen and Tyr meet, but it is only the beginning of their tale. They must first bridge the gap between them if there’s any hope of solving the mystery of who’s threatening humans and vampires alike.

First time reading this author. The story was pretty good. Enjoyed the characters, and their very different personalities, and chemistry.
Gwen and Tyr were great together I really like that Gwen was strong in her own right great story plot I really enjoyed getting to know these characters mystery will be revealed I can’t wait to read more.
Wow this was so hot! Gwen and Tyr have such an explosive chemistry I could feel it just from reading it. This one of the hottest sex scenes ever. There are many interesting characters in Diablo Falls. The H and h have a crazy enemies to lovers kind of thing going on. The fact that they could not stand each other was even more hot. I laugh so hard at Gwens antics to get revenge on him. And I was so disappointed when it ended so quickly but I guess so it’s a short story after all. Well on to the next one. I highly recommend for paranormal lovers out there.
I give this 3.5 stars with a lean closer to 4. This is the second book in this collection of shorts based around a small town in the mountains called Diablo Falls that I have read (First Instinct being the other). To clarify, the books appear to be in no way truly connected except for in location, so reading order is not at all important.
First Sight is a novelette about a psychic and a very old vampire. Tyr is a bit pompous, but I did rather enjoy the little dance he and Gwen did around one another (love to hate anyone), probably more than is quite sane. Gwen was fun and I enjoyed her parts immensely. From what I can tell (and I hope or this deserves less stars), this book is really just a part of a whole story, and it really felt that way. It felt like an introduction to the characters and a kind of first meeting intro into a story. The author’s little blurb at the end of the book gives me hope she intends to finish the story.
I’ll have to reserve overall feelings until the story is complete. If you want a short and more tart than sweet, but definitely entertaining, romance, then this is a good go. Quick and easy to read.
Can’t wait for more!!
I am captivated with Tyr and Gwen. They could say they hated each other all they wanted but don’t they say, There’s a fine line between love and hate.” There’s more to this story to come and I can’t wait. Gwen’s visions tell of things to come. Tyr has to protect her so they can see what their future holds. Great story. I highly recommend but be prepared for a bit of a cliffhanger. Excited for more of the story from these two.
A quick, exciting read that left me longing for more!
Love at first sight! Acceptance, though, took a bit longer. Short, yes, and well written, with a taste of what’s in store for us in the ongoing series. I enjoyed this view of vampires. They are sometimes depicted as amoral, out of control beings. Control is definitely Tyr’s aim. He is in charge, much to Gwen’s regret. I have to laugh with Gwen. I like this girl! She has quite a knack for getting under Tyr’s skin: very creative thinking that kept me snickering! It’s a fascinating story concept, with Gwen’s secret placing her in grave danger. I’m hoping we’ll see the next book in the set soon – I can’t wait!
