Off the charts hotness, a fun and addictive story that I inhaled before I even knew it.”-Book Haven Book BlogWhat do you do when you accidentally end up in bed with a sexy, younger musician? You act like it never happened, of course. You never kissed each other after that third glass of wine. You didn’t swoon when he played you a song on his guitar.Never ran your hands over those rippled abs.And you … guitar.
Never ran your hands over those rippled abs.
And you definitely didn’t have the hottest – most toe curling – wild night of your life with him.
Never happened.
This summer was for getting over my divorce, not under a musician.
There’s one little problem though.
You don’t choose who you fall in love with.
Maddox Brewer is a rockstar and too young for me.
But when it comes to love, nothing is ever simple.
Bestselling Author Mickey Miller brings you a steamy romance about what happens when sparks fly between an older woman and a younger man.

The Lake House is a sweet and slightly controversial younger man/ older woman love story that will leave a mark on your heart. Protagonists Sherry and Maddox draw you in with their witty, flirty banter and amazing chemistry.
I highly recommend The Lake House and author Mickey Miller!
This is my first book by Mickey Miller. I enjoyed it but Sheri the main character was hard to connect with she kept going on about how she was so much older than Maddox. She wanted to enjoy herself and let go but she was so hung up on the age difference.
Maddox was a great character he wants to succeed in music and came to the lake to work on his album but when he sees his childhood crush is here and single he wants to try and make something happen.
Sheri said one night but one night isn’t enough not even close Maddox wants to make it as long as possible but he needs to convince Shari they are good together and more than a summer fling.
WOW, just wow! Mickey Miller never ceases to amaze me with his writing skills! Maddox and Sherry’s love story was absolutely beautiful! I have enjoyed every minute of this read and can’t wait to move on to book two and three! This story was hot, steamy, sexy as hell and had some wonderfully light moments too. I enjoy the intelligence behind the writing. The research and life moments that Mickey adds to his stories make them seem so real and achievable! Read this book and each one after, you will not be disappointed!
This is an enjoyable read that will hold your interest throughout the story. We’re given a younger man/older woman story that has you cheering these two on and see where things can go when you stop thinking about what other will think and just follow your feelings. Sherry and Maddox’ story had me feeling more of a connection to them because it was relatable and realistic. It’s nice to have a book that is hot and romantic while not over done and have you feeling like it’s only ever a fantasy.
Loved this older woman-younger man story – a trope which is underrepresented in romance novels. Insatiable had the added twist that Sherry and Maddox have known each other for years, and that Maddox had a crush on her when he was a kid. Like all of Mickey Miller’s books, Insatiable was ultra-steamy, humorous, emotional and entertaining and as a male writer, he provides a unique perspective in his stories. Must read!
I love Mickey’s writing and this younger man, older woman book is so off the charts good. Leave it to Mickey to write such a steamy, sexy, delicious summer read. I’ve yet to read a book by Mickey that I didn’t love.
Summer lovin leads to forever lovin
Maddox…deliciously wonderful! Age ain’t nothin but a number when we meet him. An old soul in a young body. A hot 26 yo body. And he’s hot for the woman next door, his childhood fantasy. Shelly finds herself on her Michigan vacation. Finds her confidence, her passion (both work and personal), and finds the love of her life right next door. Steamy, sexy, sweet, tender, just the right touch of drama…a perfect summer read…or those cold winters nights when you dream of summer passion, this novel captures it perfectly. I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Sweet story with plenty of heat. Sherry is newly divorced from her college sweetheart and taking some time out of her life as a college professor to kind of redirect her life. She’s alone in a lake house on Lake Michigan, her family’s house that she has many childhood memories a good place to readjust her life. But when one of the Brewer boys shows up next door looking unbelievably hot, maybe the summer’s not looking so lonesome. She puts her breaks on when she realizes it’s not one of the older brother but one she babysat? Sherry has a big hang up about their age difference, but Maddox feels the real attraction, but is an one-night stand what Sherry needs to pull herself out of her head, or would a summer fling be even better, but it can’t be anything more right?
Lots of warring thoughts and chemistry, good banter makes this a fun read. Plenty of secrets and unexpected situations to move the story along, great characters. Can’t wait for the other Brewer brothers!
“I want you, for as long as we can have each other. If that’s one more day, so be it. If it’s a lifetime, I’ll take that too.”
Do you remember the one that got away? Or maybe, it was the one that you never had but dreamed about having? Sure, we all do, right? But, what if you had a second chance at the chance you never had? Wouldn’t that be awesome? Well, kudos to Maddox for taking that chance and never giving it up!! What a heartthrob he is! Holy Hannah!!
Maddox Brewer needed to get away. Somewhere away from distractions. Away from the ache of his break-up. He needs to finish this album and he needs to write. A lot. Heading to his uncle’s lake house sounded perfect. But when SHE shows up next door, his plans change. Sure, he can still write some lyrics and play his guitar, but what he really wants to do is play her body like a Stradivarius. The object of his pre-pubescent fantasies, Sherry is now within arm’s reach. Sure she’s older than him by a decade, but age is just a number to him. He’s not wasting this chance to make his dreams a reality and he’ll do everything he can to convince her that he’s the one for her. Even if that means letting her go.
Sherry Robbins needed a break. She has to finish her research paper and try for tenure. Again. She could have stayed at the University and worked on he paper in her office, but working with your ex-husband doesn’t lend itself to peace with no distractions. What better place to get away from it all than her family’s lake house. No distractions? Right! Not when one of the Brewer boys shows up next door. As she shamelessly ogles his ripped abs and muscles, she soon realizes that it’s Maddox, the youngest of the brothers. He’s a decade younger than her, but she just can’t help herself from taking advantage of a little fun between the sheets with the boy next door. But, it can never last. She’s too old for him. Right?
These two were an amazing couple!! Sherry trying to be the mature one, the one doing the right thing. Maddox in relentless pursuit of her and pushing her to her limits, hoping she’ll see past the age gap and just see….him. Maddox is totally swoon-worthy!! Loved this story!!
What starts off as a reunion of childhood friends turns into a summer fling. When Maddox sees Sherry living next door for the summer old summer crush memories come to the forefront. So when a passion is felt from the first moment they reconnect, one night of hot sex happens. One night turns into a summer fling, but will the age gap between them be something Sherry cannot get over? Or will this be a summer when caution is thrown to the wind and hopes and dreams come alive? I absolutely fell in love with Maddox and Sherry from the opening pages. Their doubts as well as their triumphs were so heartfelt. With each book Mickey Miller seems to hone his craft and become an even better writer. So far I think this one is my all time favorite.
Very sexy story. I like the age difference in this. Sometimes authors make the younger counterpart too young, at least in my opinion. I thought this was perfect. The characters were interesting and made me want to know more about them
