He saved my life, only to steal it away with his dragon’s blood. Midlife was supposed to be steady, where I’d find everything I needed and finally get it together. Nope. Hollywood lied. Because here I was, again, trying to get my legs under me. Literally. I’d lost my job, fallen into the Atlantic, and woken up changed forever. Forever as in eternity forever because the blood my rescuer gave me … forever because the blood my rescuer gave me to save my life had one itty bitty unforeseen consequence.
It made me a vampire.
I know, fang my life.
Now I’d need a miracle just to get through the day. And that miracle is Alistair, the handsome dragon shifter who saved my life and really shouldn’t exist. But he is very much a real man–and a real temptation.
And he’s offering me a fresh start that comes with a secret organization of supernaturals who live in the shadows.
Looks like I’m getting a chance to start over.
I just had to die to finally start living.

This novel mixes history with the modern day in a perfect blend of mystery and urban fantasy. Leslie was a strong female lead who grew over time as she found herself immersed in a paranormal society she previously new nothing about. Leslie’s story of becoming a vampire was unique, fresh, and entertaining – a must read for fantasy fans!
Highly recommend this author.
Once Bitten by Tina Glasneck is the first book in the Order of the Dragon Series. In this book, Leslie Love a paranormal romance writer goes on a cruise that changes her entire life. This story is full of Norse Gods, dragons, vampires, and a host of other unique paranormal beings as well as an interesting life changing trip to a castle on the shores of Loch Ness, Scotland. It is an exciting and very different story that is full of suspense, mystery, compelling situations, and a host of unusual paranormal characters that made this book such an exciting, entertaining read. Once Bitten is a unique and intense paranormal tale.
I’m not a great fan of vampire stories,
but this author just might change that !!
This story has ** SO ** many moods in
it that I just could ** NOT ** put it down.
The bonus content, ( Her Highlander Dragon )
had me in stitches !! It’s hysterically funny !!
If you need a read to brighten your day, here it is.
Enjoy !!

I loved reading this book and it’s a wonderful series. . .
Once Bitten is Book #1or #2 (not sure which) in the Order Of The Dragon series by Tina Glasneck. A lot happens to Leslie in this book. She gets dumped by her agent, while on a cruise finds herself overboard, is saved by Nessie, a sea dragon, but is near death, and becomes a vampire. Very well written and we get some new characters, especially Alistair who we get a glimpse of in Zero Hour. Am anxious to see what Tina has in store for Leslie and gang.
A story with mystery, drama, supernatural, action, and intrigue all wrapped in a gripping story. It starts right out the box with action and mystery. It continues all throughout the story. Leslie is a feisty and strong lady that speaks her mind. I adored her personality and how she gave as much as she received. Gran was fantastic. She had me laughing with her antics. This story is well written and has fantastic characters. All of their personalities could be felt throughout the story. The flow of the story is superb. It does end in a cliffhanger but boy I can’t wait for the next one. It is a must read!
I love how this author is able to combine historical fact with modern day mystery and pure fantasy. (At least, I think it’s pure fantasy.) I’m so excited to see that we’re coming back to direct interaction with Freya’s dragons and that we get to approach the whole situation from a new direction. I adored Leslie and I loved watching her find her inner warrior and a spine of steel. It felt effortless to learn about this new paranormal society as she experienced it. And as much as I was intrigued by Alistair, I fully support Leslie’s decisions in the end. I cannot wait to see how the author is going to bring everything back full circle.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
I found this book hard to get through. It was ok but not sure if I’ll go any further into this series.
This book could be used in a writing class for “what NOT to do”. The author tells us, doesn’t show us. Not a shred of atmosphere is every evoked. The action is so disjointed I thought she played 52-pickup with her chapters and just left them the way they scattered. I kept reading to see if it got any better. It didn’t.
