He’s six-feet-five of sheer muscle and power, and he scares me as much as he excites me.
Ruthless, merciless, and without fear, his cruel smirk tells me he is going to enjoy having me at his mercy.
He might own me, but I’m not giving in without a fight.

While Maya is waiting for this to happen knowledge of Yannis and his bedside manner comes out in the local newspaper that makes Maya’s mother rethink this whole arrange marriage. And because of this, Maya’s whole past and future is rearranged.
A great beginning of A Mafia Vow series!
The Contract is a short prequel to the Mafia Vows duet. In this quick read we meet Maya and her protectors. There are twists, turns, and more questions than answers. There are so many different ways this could end up, I can’t wait to see what happens.
Oh boy… It’s been a while since I had the chance to read a book from this lady and Dayum I was missing her.
Her books are so intense that can make me shake like a leaf. It’s one scene after the other surrounded by darkness and drama… Hell yeah… Just the way I like it.
The Contract is her latest release and it’s a prequel to A Mafia Vows series.
This new book explores Maya’s life.

Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging and intense.
It was amazing to start this series and I can’t wait to start the next one.
SR Jones doesn’t disappoint and you’ll love it. Trust me.
Now I’m off to read The Debt…I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Maya is born into the world of Greek Mafia where allegiances are made through marriages and loyalties are constantly tested. Maya is a mafia princess, kept pure her whole life for a loveless marriage of power & regardless of her own personal desires. Headstrong and independent, Maya finds loopholes in her family’s arrangement and fights to have some semblance of control of her burning wants and desires. Maya’s father makes a deal with the devil himself to marry her off to the son of a rival mafia family. She quickly learns he’s a mad man intent on hurting her as he has other women. Desperate to escape her hellish fate, she begs her mother for help. With her uncle as the head of family’s Mafia, he decides she must marry one of his enforcers causing ripple effects throughout the three men’s lives. A decision is made and she has no choice, but to move forward with her new life and potentially heartbreaking new devil.
This book does give a good amount of back story and while it’s a good, suspenseful short read – I feel like you could skip this prequel and still understand what’s going on in The Debt: Mafia Vows (Book One). Note: This book ends on a cliffhanger.
This is the prequel to a new series from this author. Maya’s life has been planned out for her, and when she finds out what the man she is supposed to marry is capable of, she begs her mother to help her. Her uncle is the head of the mob and states that Maya must marry someone who is high up in the organisation and she is surprised to see who steps up to the plate. This is a dark and twisted read which had suspense and secrets. This is a well written story which had me intrigued throughout and I look forward to reading “The Debt” next.
The Contract by SR Jones starts the story of Maya who is the pawn in the mafia game. Maya’s Uncle is a top Mob boss so her father has plans for her to marry to bring up their family. Of course the people that they have in mind to marry her too are deadly.
Great start to what seems like a great series.
The instruction to this crazy, Greek crime world was amazing. You could feel Maya’s feelings and emotions the whole time. This book is one that will grab your attention and keep it the whole time. This introduction will just make you want more of this story and this author!!
This book will keep you intrigued and obsessed with what is to come – there is a cliffhanger!!
What a great set-up to a new mafia series. Exciting, is that it’s a Greek mafia series. Can’t wait to see what comes from that. Interesting characters that I’m dying to know more about!
Maya is a young mafia princess but on the poor end of the scale her uncle is head of the Greek -Mafia her father is a wanna be and he has sold his daughter for $500.000.00 euro. Her fiance’ has just been exposed as a woman beater in the papers and when Maya finds out she requires her mother’s help but then her father takes matters into his own hands. Things just don’t workout for her. But there are other little things that she thought were important until she came to her fiance’s house with her parents. The prequel has good characters and the storyline were definitely strong. I was given an ARC without obligatio by author. I am providing an honest review.
Wham Bam thank you SR Jones! Maya is the niece of a Greek mob boss and has been promised to a rival family to be married off to their son. She thinks the arrangement is ridiculous, but she becomes scared once she finds out what kind of man he really is. In the mean time she passes her days shopping and trying to seduce her bodyguards. The prequel is packed with secrets, intrigue, duty and lust…..I can’t wait for the next one!!!
From the day she was born her future was planned for the joining of powers by her father and her uncle just agreed with it. Maya always having a crush on Alesso when he becomes her bodyguard due to the increasing threats.
Hearing news about her future husband, Yannis, and what he’s capable of Maya knows she definitely doesn’t want to marry him. Surprised that her mother agrees that after seeing the papers, she can’t marry him, her mother has never gone against her father but knows she can’t marry Yannis.
Her mother takes them to meet with her uncle, she learns the full extent of the contract that her father made, but it’s the secret her mother has been keeping that gets her uncle’s attention and he agrees to help, she’s going to get married to someone high in the organisation as a reason to cancel the wedding.
She didn’t expect who volunteered to marry her, he’s going to make her pay for saving her.
To think this is just the beginning.
Maya never dreamed that she would be in an arranged marriage to a psyopath that hurts women. But that’s where she is now. Only the man she’s called her Uncle can save her. His money and power are the only way she can get out of this arrangement. That and marry someone else.
Then Damen her hot sexy bodyguard she Fantasizes about steps up and offers to marry her. Could she be in worse trouble with this beautiful killer?
