The third and final book in the All For You series, and Jennifer Van Wyk has delivered an absolutely gorgeous romance! Sweet, sexy and functional, this is an irresistible love story between two people burned by love, and I loved it!
Owen is the older brother of Olivia (heroine of Book #1 in the series, Gone For You, though this book can easily standalone). He’s appeared in the previous books of the series as this protective, big-hearted, quiet-ish guy whose heart was broken and who contentedly spends all of his time at The Escape, a resort he runs (both his home and his passion) where people can get away from it all and get back to nature and enjoy the peaceful simplicity of life.
Cami is a romance author who has completely lost her mojo. She’s just gotten out of a really bad marriage, her last two books have flopped, and she’s desperate to get away from her life for a while and get her motivation and inspiration back. So she heads across the country to The Escape for a six week stay in the middle of a snowy winter where it’s just her and the gorgeous owner.
Owen and Cami develop a quick friendship that is sweet, fun and easy, underpinned by an attraction that neither of them even bother to deny.
“I don’t know anything about her.
But I know her.
How is that possible? Is this what people talk about when they say they just knew?”
The time they spend together is sizzling with chemistry as they laugh, talk and open up and share their pasts with each other, and every moment of it is sizzling with anticipation as we wait for something to happen. But with Cami only at The Escape for a short time, neither of them want to get into anything that will end up with them getting hurt again… at least initially.
“She’s incredible and I know it’s a mistake to want more but the alternative, not having her at all and watching her leave here, would be the biggest regret of my life. I know it already.”
And so they follow their feelings, knowing that it will come to an end and prepared for that, but not able to resist their attraction any longer, and what follows is a beautifully romantic, honest, passionate and absolutely gorgeous romance that completely captured my heart.
“For two people who decided they’d try to keep things surface level, we’re not doing a very good job at it. Everything I learn about him makes me like him more. Every time he touches me makes me ache for more.
I’m screwed.
In both the way I want to be and the way I don’t want to be.”
I love these characters. Cami is so relatable – smart, funny and a little bit lost and vulnerable, and I loved her as a heroine. And OMG, Owen! The man is just amazing! He’s sweet, funny, kind and supportive, affectionate, caring and so freaking sexy! He’s a good guy with a heart of gold, and I just adored him! It was no surprise that these two fell so hard for each other, and I loved watching it happen.
But what will happen as Cami’s time at The Escape comes to an end? Though somewhat predictable, Van Wyk was able to surprise me a bit with this one, with events I didn’t see coming, and I was glued to my kindle as it all played out.
The characters from the previous books in the series all appear and I loved seeing them again, and this book finished off beautifully with a double epilogue that left me grinning like a fool.
Jennifer’s books have a particular feel to them – they are feel-good books that are functional and sweet with sort of a wholesomeness about them. Her characters are good people, there’s usually very little stupid behaviour, and the romance is fun, fresh and swoony with a sexy edge. It’s a formula that totally works for her, and I can’t get enough of it!
I am giving Staying for You by. Jennifer Van Wyk 5 Stars. It is a part of a series but can definitely be read as a standalone. This romance was very passionate, had many laughs and was still able to tackle some serious issues as well.
Cami is a writer who seems to be in a writing slump. Not only are things going south with her writing but her personal life so she feels she needs to escape for a while. Which is exactly what she does and ends up at this great secluded respite called The Escape.
The Escapes owner Owen is a very manly sexy uncle. He does a great job of running the resort and is attracted to Cami from the time she first shows up.
I love that Cami is an author for one. I also love that there were several things that happen along the way that I would not have seen coming, this book definitely kept me guessing. I love the setting of The Escape. I also love both, Cami for her strength and boldness, and Owen for his caring ways while still being very masculine. Of course I love the secondary characters whom I care to know in the first books of the series and was excited to be introduced to a couple of new ones.
Overall I think this was a great book I would definitely recommend!!
So out of all the books so far in this series, this one has to be my favorite. I love the whole concept and honestly had me really wishing I could go to The Escape myself. Owen is just everything you would want in your hero. Sweet. Thoughtful. Loves his family. So much more. Cami, even after the burn she received from her ex, is such a loving and giving character. You honestly want to be her best friend. The attraction these two have is evident from the first look! Their banter is priceless and has you giggling. The chemistry is sizzling and has you fanning yourself. The added twists thrown in make this story just one you could not put down. Sadly, I had to because I needed sleep. But once I woke up this morning, I dove right back in and devoured the rest.
As a whole, this book has everything. Funny moments, passionate times, a really twisted ex and so much more that adds to this whole story. Seeing the past characters in it too just added to the depth of the story. I really did not want it to end! So if you haven’t read this series… DO IT! You really need to because you are going to love these characters.
Absolutely unputdownable!! I was hooked immediately and fell hard for Owen and Cami. Their chemistry was off the charts explosive, the banter hilarious (especially with the walkie talkies lol) and Owne taking care of his nephew and niece … swoon worthy! I could really feel the emotions in the writing. A definite must read from a fantastic author.
I could not wait to get my hands on this book because I just knew Owen was going to be an EPIC book boyfriend, and he did not disappoint! Totally worth waiting for. This guy sets the bar and he sets it high! There is literally nothing to dislike about the story he and Cami give us.
I was pulled in from the very first page with this one! Camilla Moore writes romance and used to write them quite well, but that’s all changed. She’s lost her mojo and everyone she trusts is letting her know it. If that wasn’t depressing enough for poor Cami, her ex-husband is a self absorbed clueless version of a man who certainly contributed to her demise, but doesn’t seem to contribute elsewhere. This is the dude every girl hopes to avoid. So…Cami plans to follow suit, fleeing to The Escape resort in search of some solitude and some genuine writing inspiration. As luck would have it, she’ll get more than she bargains for in the form of Owner/Operator Owen Cunningham.
Owen is the version of a man that women write romance books about. He’s charming, funny, sexy, a real Mr. Fix It who knows how use his hands in several skillful ways. He’s a family man who adores his “niece” and nephew; Issy and Brody. Oh My Gosh….Ovary Explosion material here ladies!!
He’s insanely handsome, and the woman of his dreams recently said ” I do”…to someone else.
Needless to say, Owen and Cami have some relationship baggage when they meet. Their relationship was executed perfectly! The tone and pace the author sets could simply not have been improved upon. The sparks flew of course, but the banter and naturally budding friendship between the two was so realistic that I could “see” each situation playing out in my head. This is how two people meet and fall in love in life. No insta love and riding off into the sunset; real life situations and unpredictable circumstances have Owen and Cami leaning on one another resulting in the bond of trust and true friendship. It’s such a great story-repeat worthy stuff here!!!
Another very enjoyable read, with just a smidgen of angst to keep things interesting. Loads of heat and humor, and a sexy hero sure to charm the yoga pants right off of you.
YOU. WILL. LOVE. THIS! Especially, if you’ve read the others in this series and love to revisit with old flames.
Owen and Cami help each other heal, and see the best in each other. A friendship that was insightful and a love that was inspirational and ever lasting. You’ll read that final sentence with a full heart, a huge smile, and deeply satisfied. As usual, you’ll still crave more. It’s the JVW effect!!
Highly recommend and enjoy the ride.
What a great book! I loved it! Owen and Cami are so good together. The chemistry between them was Hot! This was my first book by Jennifer and she didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to read more!
Jennifer Van Wyk has become one of those authors whose books I don’t even need to read the blurb- I will automatically one-click. Staying For You, the third book in the All For You series, certainly meets those expectations!
Cami has just gotten out of an awful divorce. Her career as an author has suffered because of her personal life, and she needs to find a way to get back to who she is. Owen owns a resort called The Escape, a place where people and families can go and leave things behind, specifically technology, and get back to how things used to be. Cami ends up spending six weeks at The Escape, and finds more than just her writing mojo- she and Owen discover how much they enjoy their time together.
Jennifer Van Wyk did a wonderful job of creating these characters and really making them lovable. I absolutely loved Owen and Cami. and add in a sexy guy who loves kids and you’ve hooked me!
I highly recommend not only Staying For You, but the All For You series!
Jennifer has done it yet again with writing another amazing book that is yet another favorite. I love all of her books and this one with Cami and Owen is so wonderful. I’m in love with Cami and Owen.
Cami is a romance author who has spent the last 8 years married to a terrible selfish guy that is so unlike any of her romance heroes. He has her feeling so bad about herself and doubting herself that her writing has suffered. With her marriage over, her best friend convinces her to take time away and escape to find herself and her writing self again. Owen is the owner of said location she escapes too. So much could be said of Owen but key things are he is sweet, sexy, hot and so swoon worthy!
If you have read Gone for You and Falling for You, then you are familiar with Owen as he’s Olivia brother and best friends with Ethan and Rex. Note: It’s not necessarily a need to read those books but of course since they are amazing I would suggest it. You’ll hear some from those amazing couples that we love as well.
I had many favorite parts of the book but one of my favorites was in the epilogue when Olivia said “I’m sorry you’re not the first one to put a ring on my finger.” Then Owen said “Don’t be sorry. He brought you to me.” *swoon*
That is why I love to read romance books because I didn’t and haven’t found my happily ever after and have married not just 1 but 2 tools so at least I can get that swooning and happiness through this amazing book.
You HAVE to read this book! You will be so happy you did.
Boom Explosions!!! This story ignites the pages of this beautiful story. Through the pages, words and chapters, we find a woman who needs to be loved, put first and ultimately admired for her beauty within. Owen Cunningham sweeps in to save himself and Cami from their own demons. Jennifer found the depth pf her characters soul and provided a pathway to her readers, Heart ! This story and journey is everything and more and I HIGHLY recommend this novel to all those that need a little bit of heaven in their lives…
Cami may have needed an escape…But the Escape needed her. She needed to find her confidence and bring back her talent and finding Owen was the entire cake. No cherry on top! He was like a large Vanilla Cake that drowned in sugar and sweetness. Cami gets a run for her words in this incredible journey of love, sacrifice and definition. There are so many defining moments between the pages and I couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore than if I was actually there and present to witness their path to love.
10 STARS if possible
Another amazing book by Jennifer Van Wyk! I was hooked from beginning to end and I could not put it down. Cami and Owen are perfect for each other in every way and The Escape setting really added to their romance. Such a heartwarming story that I absolutely loved!! I can’t wait for more!
A must read, over! Owen and Cami are too cute, over!
Owen was a man who kept to himself with the exception of his family. And when he gets to watch his niece and nephew, it is such a joy! But when he’s not spending time with his family he is alone at the Escape. He keeps himself busy maintaining and making upgrades to his resort. Always trying to make it better for his guests. Then along comes Cami and Owen isn’t so sure about being alone anymore.
Cami is an author who has struggled to write anything decent in the past few years. It might have something to do with her ex husband. He won’t leave and it is taking a toll on her. Thanks to her best friends suggestion, she goes on a vacation. But just not any vacation, a vacation to find herself again. And to do that she needs peace. She heads to the Escape. Cami never expected that she would meet Owen. Never thought that she was worth anything! Her ex ridiculed her often, so her self esteem has taken a hit. Owen reverses the effect her ex’s words have done to her. She can write again and she owes it all to Owen.
The two of them form a friendship(among other things). They enjoy each other’s company. Neither one of them expected the friendship to be anything more, but it did!
After some miscommunication and an accident these two realize they need each other!
I enjoyed this book so much and it is a must read!
All the heart eyes for Owen and Cami!
Oh my gosh, I loved this couple! Open, honest and going for what they want. What’s not to love? Plus, a delicious tension from an epic bad guy! Loved everything about this book!
I loved Cami and Owen’s story. Great characters (most of them anyway). Great chemistry. I loved seeing past characters. Jennifer never disappoints!
The best so far of this series. Owen is a bit of a hermit, resort owner; Camilla is an author who needs her mojo back. He comes out of his shell, she gets her groove back. There’s some humor, some steam, some romance. More of a return to the author’s previous style of writing and characters.
