One of my favorites!
This is an interesting story of the Wild West and the paranormal. The author brings a unique story that captured and held me from start to finish. She brings a cast of colorful characters and weaves an interesting read. It’s not my usual style but I did enjoy the story.

Let the Shadow Fall
Several twists to try and unravel before you get to the end of this intriguing story
This is my first book by this author. I really enjoyed reading it. It is also my first steampunk type story. It was really neat. Especially all the inventions and paranormal. Can’t wait to see more!
A death in the family uncovers many surprises. It’s not uncommon secrets come to light at times like these. The magnitude of them in this case is immense. Elizabeth’s strength and intelligence is up to the challenge presented. She didn’t know how necessary her years of training would be. So valuable as she suddenly must grow into her full potential.
The steampunk, paranormal Wild West, Alana Creek, makes a unique interesting backdrop. Gods, dragon shifters, magic, mythical creatures-oh my- my head was spinning. The characters are complex, becoming more so as secrets are revealed. The narrative at times was confusing and some elements unnecessary (such as Rebecca’s secret). The relationship between Elizabeth and her Mother is the best aspect of the story- Both women are strong and loyal. I am looking forward to reading more about these two exceptional women. I suggest spending an afternoon getting “lost” in the world of Alana Creek.
So this book was just about perfect. It has something for everyone. Love, paranormal, steampunk, mystery, everything… And for this being a short book, the author did a great job of packing in the information! Def can’t wait to read more from the Author!
I thoroughly enjoyed Elizabeth’s story of self-discovery. A little steampunk, a little wild west, a little paranormal. This book just about has something for everyone.
I have never read steampunk before. Along with the paranormal I’m not sure this is the kind of book for me, but by the end it made sense. The books characters were fine but many and it’s seems like the first through midway was mixed up and all over! But eventually caught the gist of it and liked most of it.
This one kept me on my toes as it had so much going on! It was a short fun read that I enjoyed overall. I would definitely read more from this universe.
This book is a bit quirky and has a lot going on. There’s some steampunk, some magic, mythical creatures, shapeshifters, and some old gods. I liked the characters and the premise of the book. My biggest issue really is that there is so much going on in such a small book. It boarders on too many elements that are almost distracting from the main story. I feel like some elements would have made more impact fleshed out in a series. On the other hand, the main story is pretty solid. It’s a race to see who will end up owning the inn and the head of the Randall family is dirtier than anyone knows.
this was a really hard book for me to read! way to many charters and all over the place. it was just no real story line.
This was a first for me as I don’t think I have ever read steam punk and Paranormal romance before but I have to say that I really enjoyed the two combining, it made it a fun and interesting read. The characters and the world building was fantastic and I have to say that I really hope there is more to come
Every unique read. The first of the book is confusing and a little scattered. The 2nd half was very good. The characters at times seem to distracted to complete a task and seem to really take their time when giving each other information. I did enjoy the story. It was a very interesting story.
