This is a well written book with an intriguing story line. The author does a great job bringing strong characters , giving them a hot chemistry , a one night of unforgettable passion and an unexpected chain of events that will change both of their lives forever. Navy SEAL Jake and therapist Hanna are in for an action packed adventure filled with suspense and danger as well as the hot romance. It’s well written , moves quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

I had high hopes for this book since I had read a different book by Katie Knight and liked it. However, when I was about 38% on my kindle I just wasn’t feeling the connection.
As the story went on, I got tired of Jake re-hashing of how his life of being in the military was all he could focus on. That he needed to distance himself from Hanna. Even though Hanna kept mentioning the spark between them, I just wasn’t feeling it. Something was missing. It just felt like a shallow connection for me the reader.
Hanna did some stupid stuff considering she should know she was facing some serious danger. She keeps thinking how much the baby means to her but she must have pregnancy brain when it comes to some of her decisions.
Of course Jake made one decision towards the end that had me shaking my head. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cry or scream.
I didn’t hate this book but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Will I read any other books by Katie Knight? Of course, because I had liked the other book. I’m sure other people might enjoy this book more than I did. Everyone has different tastes after all.

I enjoyed this story but a few things kept it from being great. It has a solid plot and male lead, Jake, that any woman would want to protect them; but the female lead, Hanna, is just too annoying. She is back and forth with what she wants. One minute she tells him that he isn’t enough and the next she is upset when he backs off because doesn’t call. She says that she can’t be with someone who is never there or is in the military then gets upset because because he doesn’t seem to want to make a commitment. The girl sends so many mix signals and then make it seem like it is the guy’s faults, drives me crazy. It’s just too off-putting. It is probably a good story but the girl makes me want to come get with her indecisions.

The characters are magnificent. This book covers everything you could want it to beautifully. If only we could all be rescued like this.

I had such a hard time putting this down! Jake really tries to fight his feelings for Hanna, and Hanna is wanting someone who checks all the boxes. What a great read!!

Hanna and Jake had an almost kiss five years ago. They run into each other again at a bachelorette auction/charity function when he purchases her date. They have a great time, and make up for the almost kiss, but she’s heading to Japan for a conference, and he’s married to his job as as Navy SEAL. When she comes back, he picks her up from the airport, and someone shoots at them. They’re on the run, and he’s able to keep them somewhat safe due to his SEAL connections. But now there’s another very important reason to keep her safe – she’s pregnant. It turns out that someone thinks she knows something about her art dealer/client, and now he’s turned up dead. I love this book – lots of action – loved seeing the characters reconnect – the sparks between them never left. Any time I read a book connected to Leslie North, I know it’s going to a great read, perfectly balanced, and a HEA.

Katie Knight has created another quick & exciting Navy SEAL romance. I have to confess to reading it in one sitting.
Navy SEAL Jake Hendrix bids on Hannah Masterson at a charity bachelorette auction. She’s the younger sister of a SEAL buddy and someone he’s never forgotten since meeting her 5 years before. Hannah is now a therapist and wants to find a man to get married, something Jake is not interested in as long as he is in the Navy. But Hannah and Jake have always had amazing chemistry and it is no different today. And when her life is threatened a few weeks after their one night together, Jake steps in to keep her safe.
Now, however, they have something even more important to think about as Hannah is now pregnant with his baby. Will Jake be able to put aside all of his reservations about becoming a family man and staying in the Navy?
This is a fast-paced story loaded with action and a little weak on character development. Jake and Hannah’s motivations (and reservations) about being in love are clear and believable. There were some teary moments before the quick resolution and HEA. Altogether I enjoyed the story. A solid 4 star read.

Romantic suspense at its best. Jake and Hanna met five years ago. Jake does a friend a favor by going to an charity auction for singles and see Hanna on stage. She is the sister of a good friend so he bids on her to save her from the sharks (men) in the room. After a one night stand with Jake Hanna goes off to Tokyo, JapanHanna last patient was Gordon an art dealer who has been acting a little nervous the last few meeting. She plans on seeing him again in one month. On her return home Jake is waiting for her at the airport. Her brother Tyler called Jake an asked him to pick her up because she sound upset when he spoke to her. Hanna had missed her period while in Japan. When they leave to garage someone start shooting at them. This is really a good suspense story with lots of action. HEA
