A marriage of convenience is their second chance at love.CelesteWith debt threatening to bury me, I have no choice but to fall back on my mother’s lessons and marry a man for money. I’ve got an in with the wealthiest bachelor in town, but I have to go through his Chief of Staff, Kai, before I can even meet the Nilsson heir. Which sucks, because a long time ago Kai promised to run away with me, … ago Kai promised to run away with me, then left me at the train station with no word. I’m still not over it.
Kai
To my friends, I’m Kai. To the world at large, I’m Bobby Nilsson, mysterious and reclusive heir to the Nilsson fortune. I inherit my parents’ money at the end of the year under a single condition: A wife. There’s only one woman who might be able to convince the world she loves me. The only problem? Celeste doesn’t know that Kai and Nilsson are one and the same. Not to mention she hates me. What’s a billionaire heir to do?

“Love is scary, but its also worth the fear.” This is my favorite quote from this book and fits it perfectly. Kai and Celeste met at a party and connected instantly. They had plans to run away but then tragedy destroyed them. Kai is trying to move on from this but in order to do so and get his money, he has to get married or otherwise the money goes elsewhere. He’s struggling with this and his injury. He keeps his identity a secret and only a few people who are close to him knows who he really is. Celeste is angry. She hasn’t forgot about being hurt and left at the station by Kai. She also needs money. She knows who has it and what she needs to do to get it. This is when things get good. She starts to bond and let go from the anger but the problem is that Kai still hasn’t told her who is really is. As you guess, its predicable as to how things plan out. It was a good book despite being a bit predicable.

Unconditional You is the 5th book in a series by Ceri Grenelle, a new to me author. While it can be read as a stand alone (I did) there is apparently quite the backstory which would probably have enhanced my enjoyment and connection to the characters.
If I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t in love with any aspect of the story. I facilitated between liking and hating the characters and frankly, a lot of the book felt preachy and a little self indulgent; I attributed that to Celeste, who I truly did not enjoy but can’t let Kai off the hook in the selfishness department. To me, neither of them were truly likeable, although when push comes to shove Kai’s humor wins the day. The angst took FOREVER to work through and then the ending was abruptly upon us. No time to truly enjoy the relationship after it (FINALLY) blossomed.
While the writing was well done, I’m sad to say this book wasn’t for me.

This was a well written book with strong characters and an interesting plot. There were lots of twists and false starts to keep the reader guessing about what was going to happen next. I would not suggest that it was realistic, but hey, it is fiction and everyone needs an escape. The history between Kai and Celeste created a great deal of the flow and backdrop for the rest of the book.

Ceri Grenelle has such a wonderful way with words. Combine that with her wicked sense of humor and her fearless love of sexy times and she can’t fail to keep you turning the pages!
This is the 4th book I’ve read written by Ceri Grenelle; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

The well written storyline and the great characters will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride as Kai and Celeste’s story unfolds!
Do people even talk to each other? Celeste in dire financial straights decides to marry rich. She decides Bobby Nisson is a good candidate. She must go through his CoS, Kai with whom she has history. Kai & Celeste were going to run away together, but Kai never showed up. He suffered a mishap and was unable to show up. Is that insult irredeemable? Kai/Bobby are one and the same. Bobby needs to marry to inherit. Kai/Bobby’s friends keep his secret. They are Celeste’s friends too. Must be exhausting! This story is amazing. It keeps you and your kindle glued. Can Kai and Celeste find their common ground? Will they be able to communicate calmly? Good story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
I LOVED IT!!! The characters were amazing and continued their evolution throughout the story. The story line had unexpected twists and turns. From the reader’s perspective I knew that Kai was the elusive Thatcher heir but the way the author wove this tale was truly Gatzbyesque.
I am not quite sure what to write. The book was good I guess, but I forgot about it within a couple of hours.
While reading it, it was captivating, but aften finishing it, it was just kinda gone from my memory.

I really liked Kai and Celeste. The two knew each other when they were younger. Kai is a billionaire but no one really knows that. Celeste needs money now. In order to inherit his money Kai has to get married. Well written. I really like this author and have enjoyed the books in the series. Great overall story and loved the characters.

Ceri Grenelle quickly became one of my favorite must read authors with her Stupid Awesome Love Series. Book 5 is Kai’s story which I had been waiting impatiently for and she did not disappoint.
It hit me in the feels multiple times as we get all of Kai’s feelings regarding his injury. This doesn’t mean I didn’t wanna smack both him and Celeste over the head multiple times so they’d get their together. I loved it all. The ending is the best.
I received a review copy of Unconditional You before release for an honest review.
This is book 6 in the series but the first one I have read. It easily stands alone and it is about two kids who meet when they are very young.
Kai is a waiter at a rich party. He is 18 and he meets 16 year old rich girl/socialite Celeste and they form a friendship. The story profiles how they get to know each other and fall in love and kiss on her 18th birthday. He is going away on a family trip and then they plan to run off together. But it never happens. Celeste ends up all alone and the story picks up 16 years later.
Kai is now back but he is not the same guy Celeste knew 16 years before. He is bitter and angry and secretive. Celeste is not the same either. She is still kinda but she is very jaded and she has a dream and for her dream to happen she needs to find a rich husband. And she thinks she has found him in Kai’s boss.
This story is very Cyrano where Kai is the voice for his employer as Celeste forms an email relationship with Kai’s boss to marry him. Meanwhile Kai and Celeste have a very complicated relationship. Meanwhile Kai has some pretty huge secrets.
This was a very well written story and the author really delves deeply into who Kai and who Celeste is and their personal pain. To some degree Kai is a train wreck where you know something big is coming but you cannot look away. That’s part of the fun of this story. I did really enjoy it a lot.
But here is a warning on the book. Celeste is bisexual. I tend to stay away from bisexual romances. Though she states she is bi, this book is only about her and Kai. Personally I felt that the bi sexual storyline was not needed. If Frannie had been a Frankie, I don’t think it would have changed the story at all. So I did not see the point of adding the bisexual aspect of this story.
Kai and Celeste’s story is filled with a rollercoaster of emotions. Kai has never revealed to anyone that he is actually a billionaire except a small group of friends. Celeste happens to be friends with the same group of people, but doesn’t know they are friends with Kai.
Kai was set to runaway with Celeste when she was younger, but he never showed up at the train station. Now Celeste is deep in debt and needs money to survive. The Billionaire needs a wife to gain his inheritance. But will Celeste go through with it when she finds out it is Kai?
I really did like this story. It was an interesting concept with a happy ending. The emotions in this story are all over the place, but it creates a really good story.
Celeste is in desperate need of financial relief so she decides to do what her mother suggest and marry a man for his money. Kai and Celeste have known each other for a while and they even agreed to run away together but he never showed up. Now that Kai works for the billionaire Nilsson she needs him to introduce them in hopes she can get him to marry her but what she doesn’t know is that Kai and Nilsson are one and the same person. Kai stands to inherit his family’s wealth by the end of the year but he has to get married and he thinks just maybe Celeste could fill that role.

This is a slow road to happy ever after with a couple broken people doing the usual, avoiding feeling vulnerable and telling each other about how they feel. They however feel strongly about each other, and I love that we get both sides of the story. The hero takes it to the extreme by not even revealing who he really is. The poetic wording of the book made it a pleasure to read even if I was mad at the guy for a long time. The girl is not bending over backwards to be pleasing everyone and I love it. She’s not playing games for the sake of it. She has a great goal to achieve. I highly recommend it to everyone who loves to take their emotions for a roller coaster spin.
