BOOK
First of all the audio for this book was good, voices fitted the roles of the characters perfectly with the different times.
I don’t often read paranormal stories but I enjoyed this one. I liked the different times zones and how they loads of history and stuff she didn’t know.
I enjoyed booked two and I am excited to see where book 3 leads. There was twists and turns in the book that keep you wanting to listen till you finish the book.
Even better than the previous book!
Audiobook version: 5 stars overall, 5 stars story, 4 stars narration
I’ll keep this review brief to avoid spoilers. This third book in the series is even more exciting and entertaining than the previous two. This series starts with book #0.5 (The Time Traveler’s Awakening), and the story continues in each book. While it is not the best urban fantasy that I have ever read, it is wonderfully internally consistent and very addictive. This book does not have a cliffhanger, so thankfully I will be able to wait for the next one without being anxious about the characters. Some things were resolved, and some plot elements are still up in the air. I loved the tense action scenes and the dialogue, especially that of the hero, Rain. The angst level is pretty low, and the steam level is low (just kissing and a little making out). The writing quality is very good, and I recommend this series to all fans of romantic urban fantasy.
While I didn’t love Sarah Puckett’s narration, playing the book at 1.2x speed makes her sound very good. I think that her performance was better in this book versus the previous two books. Aaron Shedlock did a wonderful job with his chapters from Rane’s point of view. His voice is so sexy, and he has an excellent sense of humor. His accents were lovely, and he makes every character sound distinctive. He is equally skilled at male and female voices.

This is the second installment in the Magic Bound Saga, and it’s just as exciting and engaging as the first. I can’t wait for more in this series.
Ember and Rane find each other once again, and they are still in danger. This installment is even more fast paced than the first, and it’s such a intriguing story. I can’t wait for more – I have to find out what started this all, and what happens to Ember and Rane.
Aaron Shedlock is amazing as Rane. He puts so much into his performance, and you can hear the relief, the anxiety, the determination and grit in his voice. Sarah Puckett compliments his performance well, too. The pair really work to bring this story to life.
I just love this fantasy time travel series so much!
We’re still travelling with Ember as she’s trying to find her missing Mother. She’s finding out more about her family, and her heritage in this book. And that her real father Finn has been there watching over her. And of course there’s the swoony Rane who is the pirate that awaits Embers return when she will show up again in his time.
There’s so much happening with Fae, vampires, shifters and the villain McGregor seeking her out. This is a fantastic series full of surprises and twists and turns that keep you fully entertained and invested in finding out what will happen next.
The narrators can either make a book or break it. Aaron and Sarah’s performances make this series Fabulous. Such emotions they grab out of me with there voices making this like watching a movie in my mind. Now I’m going to be having major withdrawals until the next and final book of this fantastic time travel series.

This is the second book in the amazing Magic Bound Saga Series, a Time-Travel Paranormal Romance. Ember and Rane’s story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is original, entertaining, captivating, action packed, fast-paced, and suspenseful. Aaron Shedlock and Sarah Puckett did an outstanding job with the narration. Sarah Puckett has a beautiful voice, and she was perfect as Ember. Aaron did an outstanding interpretation as Rane. This is a great team author/narrators. This is a fantastic series, and I can’t wait to listen to The Time Traveler’s Fate, the next book in the Series. #AudiobookObsession
A Magically Entertaining PNR! Awesome Story & Narration
The Time Traveler’s Vampire
A Time-Travel Paranormal Romance
Magic Bound Saga, Book 2
By: Anna Applegate
Narrated by: Aaron Shedlock, Sarah Puckett
Anna Applegate’s fascinating Magic Bound Saga continues with another action packed story that is captivating from start to end. This book picks up after the first book, be sure to not miss that and the prequel as well, both are amazing novels and this series is best enjoyed in order. Ember Brighton and Rane Andersson’s bond strengthens in this book but so does the threat against Ember and all time travelers. We learn more about the time travelers magic and the mystery surrounding MacGregor’s protective magic and his source. I loved how Ember and Rane find each other in the different time periods and how they are working together o end McGregor and the evil he is behind. That ending killed me, it took me to the edge of my seat and left me there. I need the next book pronto, I hope it comes to audio soon. This imaginative time-travel paranormal romance novel is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moment, heartfelt emotions and a romance years in the making. Anna Applegate, thank you for another awesome installment of this magically amazing series, love how you bring all these supernatural beings together in the world you created. I am looking forward to find out what happens next!
Sarah Puckett and Aaron Shedlock continue to deliver an outstanding performance as they bring these characters to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that matches the character’s persona to a tee and sound believable that role and just as I picture the character to sound. Aaron Shedlock plays Rane’s role with perfection, great accent and all, Sarah Puckett’s Ember is spot on as well, both are badass in each role they play, secondary characters included. These two mega talented voice artists take an already great story and enhance it to another level of greatness. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

The Time Traveler’s Vampire
The danger is truly escalating and Ember seems to be running out of time! This series is completely addictive and I love the mix of time traveling, vampires and more! Very original storyline and great writing that has you hooked from the first page. The twist keep you on your toes. Amazing and well done audio narration!!
The series continues to get better, as the story continues with Ember and Rane, the Traveler and her Vampire. Continuing to battle against MacGregor and the unknown endgame he seems headed toward, her mother’s mysterious coma, Ember’s continuously strengthening magic, and the growing connection between Ember and Rane that goes beyond that of just a traveler and their vampire, we are given adventure, love, fear, relief, reunion, and heartbreak. Relationships are strengthened, sacrifices are made, and the pace builds and builds until reaching the climax, and the end of this book just left me wanting more – hopefully not a long wait for the next audiobook of the series to be released.
The narration is really quite good, the voices of Ember and Rane especially are captured very well by Sarah and Aaron – a powerful, strong willed woman, and her confidently cocky pirate vampire.
Vampires and time-travel? Absolutely yes!!! An intriguing book, part of an equally intriguing series, with lots of suspense, mystery and romance, that will become your latest addiction. Anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.

This series is so addictive! It’s well written and you are hooked from the very start! I loved book one but it this second book is even better as we follow Ember and Raine as they fight to restore the balance of time as their enemy grows stronger! A fantastic storyline and even better characters this has something for everyone from action to adventure, from mystery to suspense, time travel and of course a little romance!! Throw in the twists and turns this will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you screaming for the next book!

This book will suck you in, and will not let you go. Once you start reading it you just can’t put it down. Ember is trying to save the people she loves and to that she will need all the help she can get. There are twists and turns that I did not see coming that will leave your head spinning and have you wondering just what exactly happened. The ending will leave you breathless and wanting more. This is my favorite in the series so far, and I really enjoyed the first one.
As their enemy Joseph MacGregor, a shifter, seems unbeatable with his strange and unexpected powers growing even stronger, Ember Brighton and Captain Rane Andersson, a vampire pirate, aren’t sure how to stop him and restore the balance of time. Rane had been captured and, while Destin Elony created a diversion that drew the two wolf guards away from Rane, Ember sneaked over to the tree he was tied to and tried to cut his ropes with no success. Rane was frantically telling her to run – he had heard her movements two hours ago, so the wolves would also have heard – and she had just walked into MacGregor’s trap. Now it was too late as they were surrounded by wolves. MacGregor pulled some of her hair out and took it over to a hooded man. Rane determined that he would teach her how to fight as soon as they escaped from here.
With the small cuts Ember had managed to make in the magicked rope, Rane felt some of his strength return and he was able to break the ropes. He quickly moved to Ember’s side where she had a sword hidden, grabbed it and freed her from the tree as well. Although a guard’s howling brought MacGregor and the others back, it gave time for Destin and the other men to arrive as backup. Their blades were tipped in silver which easily cut through the wolves. But when Rane cut MacGregor’s arm, the wound closed as Rane noticed the hooded figure standing nearby! Who was that man? What was his business with MacGregor? And is the growing connection between Ember and Rane a good thing or does it instead put them in greater danger as they try to protect each other at all costs?
I really enjoyed this book and the characters who fought against MacGregor. There were twists and turns that kept the reader fully engaged in the story line. Ember and Rane are getting closer and closer, putting them at greater risk as their enemy can use that against them. Grab your copy and see where this exciting story will take us!
Wow this series is a must read. It has everything to keep me rooted to my seat, romance, mystery, action, time traveling, wonderful characters… It was so hard to put down. Can’t wait to see what happens next in book 3. I just need to say that i love to hate cliffhangers!!

The Time Traveler’s Vampire is the second book in the Magic Bound Saga. I found this to be the best book of the series and cannot wait for the next one. The characters have great growth development and the bond between Ember and Rane is growing but they must stop MacGregor before they can act on the feelings they have for each other. The storyline is well written and fast-paced, with action, mystery, and romance.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Mother of God, are you trying to kill me? So many twists and turns, so many new developments in just one book!! How can they all go thru so much and still survive? Still be strong, still be willing to fight??? And that ending? I never so that one coming… Hope number three is coming soon or I will go nuts!!!
