It’s just a little party, they said. One night on Earth will be fine, they said. We’re angels, what’s the worst that could happen?Mmhmm. That was before the fire, the thing with the magician, and the naked shenanigans with the humans. And cross my heart, I have no idea how a blowup doll bearing the Almighty’s likeness ended up in the pool. I swear. Now, I’ve fallen from grace and landed myself in … fallen from grace and landed myself in the Lost Souls probation program.
This celestial rehab is the last chance for rebellious angels to get their act together. If I fail? I’ll be permanently expelled from Heaven and stripped of my wings.
We’re supposed to be making amends for our bad deeds by saving wayward humans from deadly sins. But humanity is up the creek without a paddle if we’re the only thing standing between them and Lucifer’s domain.
Lost Souls is the cream of the crop when it comes to misfits, miscreants, and misbehavers. Especially those three sexy a-holes who won’t stop eye-banging me.
Xander, Malakai, and Raziel. They’re devilishly handsome, wickedly charming, and absolutely up to no good.
There’s no way those troublemakers will make it through the program.
They’re definitely going straight to Hell.
And they’re trying their damnedest to take me with them…

Very much enjoyed this read! Not your typical #whychoose romance start up, and it was refreshing because of it. The clueless Astrid is an angel that just wants to be good, and Malakai, Raziel and Xander are angels that are ready to lead her very much astray! Great new first book (excluding the fabulous introductory novella) for Bethany Jadin’s newest series
Plot~ 4/5
Reads more like a college academy book
Character depth ~ 4/5
I’m hoping for more growth with the characters.
Pacing ~ 3/5
The beginning is a slower set-up, almost a little drawn out… and then the pace picks up
Hero(es) ~ 3/5
They’re like the frat boys who never grew up. I’m hoping their personalities mature in the next books.
Heroine~ 4/5
I like her – I enjoy seeing her make her way through this new experience.
Emotion felt by reader ~ 4/5
Angst ~ 4/5
Sensuality ~ 5/5
Se(xxx)y time(s) ~ 4/5
The interaction btw the men are on point. However, I didn’t get the impression they were interested *emotionally in the heroine till the very end.
Conclusion ~ 4/5
Cliffhanger ~ Yes – it’s called a series.
Book Cover ~
If you like academy books, you’ll enjoy this one as the characters are written in more of a NA voice.
One weekend on Earth. A weekend to visit museums, watch humans, and maybe even drive a car. That’s all Astrid wanted but her best friend convinced her to live a little. A massive fire, a couple of tigers, lots of tequila, and an incident with a blow-up doll and Astrid finds herself in front of the angelic council and fallen from grace. She is sentenced to one-year probation at Lost Souls, a celestial rehab and living with the three bad-boys angels who led her astray. Xander, Malakai, and Raziel are as handsome as they are delightfully wicked. Failure is not an option if Astrid wants to keep her heavenly wings but she’s not sure she can make it through a week much less a month with these troublemakers. Temptation has never looked so good.
I read the first part of this book when it was Holy Smokes. I liked it then. This version is better. I love the terms of probation, the Deadly Sins Bureau and their community service. This is pure entertainment! It’s a fresh, fun story with surprises thrown in from beginning to end. It’s a blend of desire and silly I have not seen before and I love it.
I love Astrid and the fact that at 100 she is a baby. Her discoveries moving in with the guys were priceless. I will never look at kitchen gadgets the same again. Her first attempt at flirting, her dessert mission, and her awakening desires all completely amused me. When she acts impulsively it’s brilliant! Xander, Malakai, and Raziel have the hottest possible bromance. I love M/M action. I don’t like how things stand now between Astrid and the boys but I know it will be alright. I must have the female as the center of the men’s universe and right now Astrid isn’t even a necessary satellite for these guys. That’s going to need to change. They need to focus more on her and less on each other. If not for their inner thoughts and private conversations, you wouldn’t even know they were interested in her beyond a one-nighter. The ending made me think that might be changing. At least I hope so. I cannot wait for more. I can tell early on that this series is going to be positively addictive.
Ok, I really love these characters and their blossoming connections. The storyline is good and I even like the best friend. There was so much chemistry and sexual tension, but, there better be some serious action in book two! I can’t take the build up anymore!
What a fun story! I absolutely loved it. There are lots of laughs and some super sexy times. Astrid is a cute innocent angel visiting earth for the first time. The three angels who want to introduce her to earth are a bit of trouble but so hot! This is a really great start to a new series.
absolutely loved it. great start to a new series. characters are captivating and could not put the book down. full of mischief and mayhem with a dash of sexual tension. can’t wIt for the next one to come out to find out what will happen next.
What happens when a group of angels gets into mischief on their visit to Earth? All kinds of hijinks and hilarity that is what. I loved this book! It made me laugh, blush, and love the characters. This is an amazing first book to a new series by Bethany Jadin and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Holy hell this was a great start to a series! These characters are fantastic, they’re funny, and entertaining and kept me on my toes. The storyline is also extremely entertaining and well written, there were definitely hilarious moments, heartfelt ones as well as steamy ones. I cannot wait for the next book, I absolutely have to know where this story goes!!!
Astrid is an angel and she is new to earth and wants to explore things she’s never seen before. She meets Xander, Malakai, and Raziel on her first day. They tempt her into doing things she wouldn’t normally do which lands her in a heap of trouble with the Angel Council. When she is sentence a year of probation and that she’ll be living with the three sexy guys that got her into trouble she worries. Then the four of them have to solve sin case against humans which makes things between them even more tempting. Will Astrid survive with her wings intact? Can the guys cut out the mischief making and be serious?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
What a fun read this was. We get an angel that just got her first trip to Earth only to be essentially corrupted by three others that just cannot behave themselves for anything. Makes for a fun light hearted yet steamy read. Great for fans of angels, demons, magic, and reverse harem. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I did not know what to expect when I started reading this story but I’m so glad I did! Astrid is a new angel and is hilarious when she visits Earth. The three bad boy angels are sexy, gorgeous & don’t mind corrupting anyone. It has some steam, mystery & drama and oh so worth the read! Can’t wait for book two!
This book was pretty good. Steamy in the right places. It’s an interesting idea. I’m curious to see where this goes. I’m Dying to see what happens to the 4. It’s going to get exciting I think!
Speak of the Devils is book one in the Lost Souls series and a great start to what’s sounding like a fantastic new series. I loved Astrid and how she just wanted a fun weekend for her first time on Earth but ends up meeting three angels Xander, Malakai and Raziel who lead her to temptation. This is a fun, entertaining, well written, story with well developed characters and a cliffhanger that left me ready for book two.
Speak of the Devils!! Astrid decided to make a trip to Earth that goes terribly wrong!! She meets three men who get her into some trouble and now she has to put up with them!! I’ve enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what sin is next!!
Definitely a very interesting start. I hope Astrid is able to keep giving the guys a run for their money. She is still a lil naive but I believe she is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
There’s lots of mayhem and magic in the first book of this fun fantasy RH series, which promises to be a sexy, heavenly adventure. I love Astrid, she’s one sassy angel, and the three angel guys, Malakai , Raziel, and Zander are hot as hell. I can’t wait for more celestial/earthly capers. It’s an absolute must read!
I loved Speak of the Devils!
This was such a fun read, I was sniggering the whole way through. There was plenty of steam and damn was it hawt!
This is one story you don’t want to miss. There is something for everyone and it is definitely a interesting Angels PNR.

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********
I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.
I originally read this in Magic and Mayhem: A Paranormal And Fantasy Academy Collection. If you read that collection, 50% of this book is the story Holy Smokes Lost Souls Book Zero. Even if you did read it already, it’s worth it to read it again.
After reading the blurb for this story, I wasn’t sure it would be a storyline I would enjoy. Well I was wrong. I know don’t judge a book by its cover. A new angel (Astrid) finally gets a pass to Earth for a few days. Nothing bad could happen right. Another angle (Mihra) sneaks to Earth with Astrid. The ladies meet up with 3 angels (Raziel, Xander, and Malakai) who love to cause mischief. Things go from crazy to holy cow dangerous. As punishment for their misdeeds, all 5 are given time at Lost Souls Academy. Astrid and the guys have to live together. They are given an assignment from the Deadly Sins Bureau (DSB). They have to work together to save a marriage due to lust. That’s pretty funny. The ending is a cliffhanger. It has to do with Xander’s gift.
