It wasn’t supposed to be like this.Evergreen Academy was meant to be my fresh start. My hair was on point. My skin was flawless. And now I wore the hell out of my clothes instead of hiding them.Even running into Ryder hadn’t thrown me. So what that the silver-eyed devil who tormented me for years now ruled my new school with a band of boys everyone called the Knights. The four of them were … called the Knights. The four of them were devastatingly rich, enviously handsome… and heartbreakingly cruel.
But the Evergreen Knights didn’t scare me. I had my own plans and no reason to enter their little world… until one fateful night and a masquerade ball changed everything.
I saw something I shouldn’t have and now I’ve been Marked.
They’ll do everything they can to break me but they don’t know the monsters I’ve faced. They don’t know I’ve been broken before.
If they want to take on Valentina Moon… bring it on.
Marked is a reverse harem high school bully romance with a sweet tinge of mystery. This is book one in the series and features language, dark themes, and sexual scenes. If you’re cool with that, dive in!

Marked is the first book of one the most captivating RH Academy Bully Series I’ve read to date. Ruby Vincent did a phenomenal job in bringing the facets of the different characters at Evergreen Academy to life. The way Val handles her “torment” is relatable and her strength inspirational. The mystery part of the story keeps the reader on his/her toes. I had a lot of guesses but did not see that ending coming. Must read for all RH Academy Bully readers!
There was a lot less romance in this “Bully Romance” than I was expecting, so I’m not sure if it’s because that happens later in the series or what. Other than that, this book really hooked me and dragged me in and now I have all of these questions that I NEED answers to. Which is excellent for an author to create such a sense of urgency because now I will be doing my best to get my hands on book two, if not the whole rest of the series.
In typical High School Bully fashion, the new girl is the one who ends up getting bullied. In this school, however, the students truly feel as if they have no choice. Another thing I’m eager to get answers for! The main guys in the book are the same good looking and talented boys you see in most books of this nature, but I like how each one seems to be good at something different. I really like Maverick’s character. I felt like him and Val connected and I would love to see how that progresses.
I’m utterly horrified at some of the revelations at the end of the book, and if you haven’t guessed it yet, be prepared for a cliffhanger. I had suspicions of one of the situations, but the other has me shook. All in all, if you’re into bully romance, dark romance, and that sort of book, you’ll probably enjoy this one.
That cliffhanger was mind-blowing! I knew. I just knew, but the author did an amazing job of making the readers question the most obvious. And regardless of knowing, it still left me speechless!
Val really did go through hell after getting marked. There is no way to sugar coat what she went through. Having everyone she thought were her friends quickly turn on her was crushing, and even worse when it came from those she had grown close to! And about to lose her place at this school, so everyone else can win…ugh. Knowing that behind every action is a scared coward does not make it any better. The knights, the spades, kings, and diamonds–secrets are big at Evergreen Academy. But who is the puppet master? Because who else can make a mass of people go against one person–one person who seems to shake up their foundation and traditions?
My heart goes out to Val. I can’t even imagine going through what she went through and sticking it out like the bad*** boss she is! Getting my hands on the next book, now!
How do you write a review for a book that leaves you with so many emotions churning in your gut. This book takes bullying to the extreme and show so much strength to withstand everything , but the ending is so dramatic that I don’t know how I am going to be able to wait for the next to come out. An amazing book that brings everything out. Narration is fantastic!
Book four is coming out in a few days and I am so excited to see how everything ends. The mystery of the spades has been keeping me on my toes.
I did enjoy this book but it’s too similar to all the others in this genre. I am looking for the one book or series in this genre that stands out. This one does have a semi-unique twist in the villain, but it mostly sticks to the “script” as it were. That being said, I did really enjoy this book. It is a slow burn build up to the steamy bits as mostly it stays focused on the plot and moving it forward, which I really liked. Hate when a character gets bullied but then jumps into bed as soon as the bully says something nice. The heroine in this series seems to have a good head on her shoulders and is most definitely strong-willed. She is put through the wringer, not only by her bullies but in other aspects of her life, and comes out with her head held high. I will say that this book has some trigger spots for those who are worried about that sort of thing, but the author makes sure to let the readers know. I gave 4 stars because I really enjoyed this book, so much so that I finished the entire series in 2 days, but it was very similar to other books in this genre. So far, though, this one stands out more than the others I have read so far. I definitely recommend.
OMG
This is my first time reading this author’s book.
And I’m speechless it was emotional, very dark, dramatic, bully, cruel
abuse, sexy hot Alpha males and, of course, wicked bitches, secrets,
betrayal and that at the end of the book is shocking and mayor twist
Be sure to read and you will not regret it!
Thank you!
On the journey to find my next RH/Bully read, I lucked out and found this on Amazon KU. I quickly clicked and settled in to the tub for a marathon session of reading. Book 1 was fast-paced, twisted and dark. The subject matter does delve into things that could be a trigger for someone.
Loved the story, characters and immediately jumped into Book 2 to find out what happened next in these crazy people’s lives. The ride is so very worth it.
This is once extremely intense story that had me on the edge of my seat and reading as fast as I could so I could see what was going to happen. There are some triggers in this story, the subject of the story should be a bit of a hint about that. It’s very well written, I’ve never read this author before but after reading this book I’m an instant fan!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
