Cina Fairbanks thought she’d be a schoolteacher forever – she loved her students, and she felt she was making a difference. But when a cold-hearted plot to take her job forces her to leave town, she wonders if the future could possibly hold the promise it once did. With only a few options, she decides to write to Miss Viola Redburn, a matchmaker in Colorado, to see about the possibility of … starting over. It seems it’s the right choice for her, but when she arrives, she learns that things have taken a horrible turn – Miss Viola has passed away, and no one knows who Cina was supposed to marry.
She’s not about to give up, though–her life is meant for something greater, and she will push through until she figures out what it is. A new love, a new direction, a fresh start — that’s what she came across the country to find, and she won’t settle for anything else. Especially when it comes to love.

Omgosh this was an amazing book by an incredible author! Definitely a one click!
I loved this book! The characters were fantastic, I couldn’t pick a favorite because I loved them all. Amelia Adams brought out so many of my emotions from laughter to sadness with her story. I was hooked from the first to the last page! Such a sweet and clean romance that I found utterly romantic! This book is part of a wonderful series that after reading this one will have you racing to read them all!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Coming to Bent, Colorado as a Mail Order Bride was a life changing situation for 10 young women. Upon arrival they discovered that the woman that brought them here had passed away, leaving no information whatsoever about who they were matched with. Her nephew lost his farm and was taking over her business. This could be a recipe for disaster! Book three in this series will not disappoint!
Cina Fairbanks was railroaded out of her teaching position by a woman bent on getting that position for a family member. She travels to her Aunt from Florida to Alabama. Teaching positions there require favorable reviews from previous employment… These were not given by her former job due to the situation she left in. Her final option was to become a mail order bride.
Matched with a Man that is just not who she feels she can marry, She changes tracks and starts tutoring. Hoping for a better match, she speaks with Mr. Redburn to end the contract with the first match.
Will she find happiness? Will her tutoring of Captain Spencer’s daughters be the way to a future?
The characters in this story grabbed and pulled me in from the first chapter. I couldn’t stop reading until I knew the end! I love the way Amelia Adams brings her plot and characters to life.
I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review.
I really loved this story as it shows we need to be with the one that makes you feel special.
The heroine, one of the Brides to Match as they group is known. She gets match with a really boring man and finally just ends it when he asks her to marry him.
She is a teacher who lost her job because she was fired from her job in Florida because she was too pretty.
The hero is a Captain in the Army and he has two very young girls that aren’t doing well in school. He asks at the mercantile is there are any tutors around and our heroine just happen to be in there. She approached him to tell her she is qualified and he hires her.
She loves these two girls and sees so much of skills in them. Their male teacher doesn’t think girls need to learn math. He also doesn’t like a girl crying and she is not allowed to explain why. Our heroine takes these girls out of school with consent of the father as they had to stop their arrangement because nosey people in a little western town thinks she is seeing two men at once.
This is such a good story that I am sure you need to read it and I am sure you will love like I did.
You also have to read it to find out how it ends.
Ten brides are at this house seeing their suitors and getting to know them, and the matchmaker is taking his aunts place since she died. He is a former cattle rancher and he is trying to match the couples like he does breeding cattle. That cracks me up. Anyway, it is a fun, often funny, or not, and it’s just a really good story in this muli-author series.
I beta read for this author and have not been asked to do a review. But I loved this story and really wanted to do a review and this is my own opinion and my honest review and I have not received any compensation for my beta reading or my review.
I’m so thankful that I did not live in the 1800’s. Life for women was tough and a reputation so easily ruined whether the rumor was true or not. Cina had fled from untrue rumors once only to have them plague her again. Cina does her best to agree with Chance’s picked groom but she needs more. Marie Higgins has given us interesting characters and a fun story line.
