PETER SANTORI is living the dream. He’s got a hot gangster boyfriend named Gio who treats him with the respect he deserves. It’s a fairy tale come true. He may not know much about what’s going on in Gio’s business, but that’s okay with him. He’s perfectly fine with sitting around and looking pretty. But when disaster strikes, Peter’s world is turned upside-down. Now he must make some tough … tough decisions, and those decisions could make or break him.
MICHAEL KAGE SANTORI is fascinated with his uncle Peter’s journals. Not only does the story play out like a Shakespearean tragedy, but it could hold the key to why his life turned out the way it did.
Complicated.
But Kage has a lot more to worry about besides his uncle’s diaries. He’s lost his boyfriend, and the only way to get him back is to play hardball with some real bad guys.
Follow Kage and Jamie, and Peter and Gio as their story concludes in Santori Reloaded, the final chapter in the Santori Trilogy.

This book was everything!
I wish I could upload the photo I took of myself after finishing this audiobook. I was sitting in the parking lot at work and that epilogue just did me in! All the emotions from this story just unloaded and I had tears streaming down my face- this series was everything! Silly me, thinking I would have been happy if Kage and Jamie’s story had been wrapped up with the Kage trilogy- silly, silly me.
I never would have cried tears over and for Peter if Ms. Black hadn’t continued on with this world. And my word, did I cry tears for Peter- hating myself the whole time. I’m so glad Ms. Black told Peter’s story- as much as I’m all about Jamie and Kage, it really did “humanize” Peter, if only for a minute, and I think we all needed to see that side of him. I’ll never not hate him, but I understand him a little better.
I don’t think I could have asked for a better ending to Kage and Jamie’s story. It really was everything I wanted, needed, and more than I ever imagined. This trilogy took not only them on quite a journey, but me as well, and it was one I wasn’t sure any of us would come out of unscathed.
JF Harding was once again phenomenal. Having to portray three points of view throughout this trilogy couldn’t have been easy, but he did such a fantastic job, I was so anxious for this final book that I almost broke down and read it, but I’m so glad I waited for the audio. He really was so wonderful as not only Kage and Jamie, but Peter as well. Especially young Peter in this last book. I’m so sad that this is good-bye!
This series was mindblowing and I loved it so much, but it also completely shattered me. This one was about more than just Kage and Jamie, but Peter and Gio.
So final assessment:
I really wish that there was just one more book to the Kage series to end things with Kage and Jamie and the business he took over after Peter Santori was killed. I don’t think it was enough to make this entire series about Kage inheriting the business and being completely ignorant of the business and then having to deal with Theo.
I would have been totally fine with the Santori series being completely written about Peter as a young man and his relationship with Gio and how he became the man we meet in Kage’s series. I was wayy more invested in that relationship than the characters I originally came to love and didn’t feel that strong a connection as I did before because it was overshadowed. That’s neither here or there since I would never deem to dictate what an author should have done with their own work and I still loved this series.
The mystery wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be and was somewhat hyped up to be. If anything the ending to this series was very mellow, not very dramatic, and anti-climatic. I was hoping for something crazy. This is just me.
Peter and Gio’s ending had me up late at night completely shattered and heartbroken. I was so upset and acted like I was told a tragic story about someone I personally knew. So kudos to the author for building this amazing connection between the reader and these characters. The romance, love, and relationship between Peter and Gio was amazing. How Peter’s story ended in the journals made me really sad. I would have taken any other outcome other than the one I got. Maris Black didn’t pull any punches. My only gripe about Peter and Gio’s relationship is that he treated Peter like a child and sheltered him too much and locked in his suite. It didn’t properly prepare him for life.
So all in all, I really loved this series and it already stayed with me after reading it. I could picture myself missing these characters very soon and needing to revisit their story. It was so well written and addictive. Well worth reading and enjoying.
So many trilogies and series end with a fizzle! This ending was more like the final flourish of fireworks at a Times Square New Year’s display. What a glorious finish! I got through this trilogy in less than two days! Then I suffered withdrawal and needed a recovery time of almost three weeks! I’m still shaken and moved. The Kage-Santori series has set a standard few authors have met!
