Two old dudes want to kill me. Oh, and one of them is my ancestor… citizens to a permanent retirement home should be a breeze.
It ain’t.
Because that’s not my biggest concern. One of my friends is in danger, or possibly dying, and I need to get her back before her fiancé kills me. But finding her introduces me to new worlds of pain. The biggest of these being my own past—which has been a blatant lie—and a parting gift from my parents—which might have just been the coin toss for the Apocalypse Olympics.
I’m beginning to realize that none of the old Gods, Legends, or Monsters have been idle the last few centuries. They’ve been waiting, picking sides, and scheming schemes.
Of course, maybe one of those two old dudes will punch my ticket and save me the headache. A wizard can Hope, right? Because either way, I’m about to have a very bad series of days…

Gaining understanding
Nate has a lot to come to terms with in this one, merging one life with another. The epic battle is upon him and he’s torn trying to keep everyone safe. The Beast’s have the last say though in the war’s outcome, leaving more questions than answers.
The stage is set to return to the Land of Fae, to save Ashley and Pan. But to go back there, is risky, many people are wanting Nate’s head. But many new secrets are revealed that are shocking and even more questions are haunting both Nate and the reader. Some of the characters will come into their own in this one. This book is action packed and not as heavy as the last book, it continues to progress and stay fresh and exciting. I really hope Nate gets some down time soon, he needs to sleep for about a week straight.
I like that Callie came back briefly, which is (hopefully) setting the base for a relationship with Nate in the future. She’s a thousand times better choice for Nate than Indie was. This series also has a couple of different spin-offs now, and it’s a universe that keeps on giving.
I love shayne silvers books. I have read all of them released so far and would highly recommend them to everyone
This one will leave you guessing to the last page.
Absolutely amazing!
Loved it
What can I say about War Hammer other than, it was a blast to read. This book sits somewhere between the frenetic pace of Tiny Gods and Wild Side and the slower pace of Obsidian Son. A major part of the focus here is character development, Nate and the team really get to grow in this book and we finally get to see a lot of the character development that may have been lacking the last 2 or 3 books due to the sheer insane speed the characters are all having to move at in those books. That isn’t to say this is a dull book though, the action is still there in spades, and the exposition when it does occur is well done and keeps your attention.
However, this wouldn’t be a Shayne Silvers book if it didn’t answer some questions, and leave you left with more questions than you came in with… So be prepared, some things that you were wondering will be answered, but don’t worry, you’ll leave with even more mysteries to spend your time trying and failing to work out until the next book.
Overall, an exciting and fun read that handles the characters and their growth in a manner that keeps it entertaining. I couldn’t recommend this book any more if I tried.
Love this whole series
I was a little concerned over how I would like the crew going fae again, but I shouldn’t have worried. Shayne Silvers explained so much of how Nate could blow all of the magic world’s rules out of the water without self imploding with this rip roaring adventure. Then in true Shayne Silvers style left us with a dozen more questions lol. Great read!
