When Tessa Harrison meets Michael McMichael (Yes – his parents were THOSE people) her first instinct is to clobber him on sight. He’s naked and standing in the middle of her apartment, clobbering seems sensible, and Tessa is nothing if not sensible. But that sensibility begins to wane as the two continue to be thrust together, and before long, there’s no denying their increasingly intense … intense connection, even if it is just physical.
It has to be.
Because it’s all he’s offering.
And it’s all her guarded heart knows how to accept.
Tessa’s convinced she’s got everything under control but does she?
It doesn’t take long before the rules get blurred, feelings are revealed and hearts are on the line.
Just as Tessa’s about to take that last big leap, everything could end in one final crash. And it’s all she needs to remember the lesson she learned years ago…
You fall, you go under. You don’t get back up.
So you simply…don’t fall.

Tessa is a senior in college studying journalism and psychology. She’s spirited, sassy, and independent.
Lane is devastated by his fiance leaving right before the wedding. All he wanted was to dissapper, He moved away and took a temporary professor position teaching psychology.
They met when she came home in the middle of the night. He was naked, she was wielding her umbrella to fight him off. He had a lease, she had the condo.
To make things worse, she found out he is her psychology professor.
Can they make this work without him losing his job, and Tessa losing her scholarship?
This is a delightful, fun story, with some soul searching by both.
Stephanie Montalvo is a new narrator for me. I really enjoy listening to this story.

Don’t Fall
By: K.S. Thomas
Narrated by: Stephanie Montalvo
Thrown together by fate, Tessa and Lane find themselves as unlikely roommates. Tessa has inherited the condo Lane is renting and the easiest solution is to live together. Instant heat, and a fast friendship form, but what surprise is in store next? Lane is her psychology professor. Talk about unexpected wrenches in life! Now the two have to pretend not to know each other at all as their home life begins to heat up! Neither looking for a relationship and this one with an expiration date of the lease ending, they are enjoying each other. As feelings grow though, things get more complicated. Family interference, crazy best friends, and a growing passion create a story full of angst, love and understanding. A little angst, a lot of love and a bunch of laughs all made for an enjoyable listen.
Stephanie Montalvo tells a great story. This particular book has some interesting characters from school professionals, to crazy parents to incredible best friends. Male and female, she dials into the personality and finds the best voice for each. It was very entertaining.

A story about two emotionally walled off characters not looking, but finding the love they’ve always needed. H – Lane/Michael – 29 – psyche professor h – Tessa – 22 – bartender – journalism student.
Another must read!!! Lane and Tessa are kind of an odd couple who don’t consider themselves a couple. Lane is trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life after he ditches his job and subsets Tessa’s condo after his fiancee split town with his best man/former best friend. Tessa is trying to make the best of a weird situation since her Aunt Edi sublet her condo, where Tessa currently lives, to a complete stranger, a sexy AF stranger. An aunt who passed away and left the condo to Tessa. Roommates? With benefits? No strings attached? And definitely don’t fall in love.
Both MC’s feel they have good reasons for their walls, too bad you can choose bio-fam, or trust others who are supposed to love you. Those walls start to crumble the more time they spend together. I loved both MC’s. HEA, no cliffhanger, great secondary characters. I wanna say more but I want you to read the book. Soooo definitely worth reading!!!
What happens when you finally Do Fall
Don’t Fall tells the story of Tessa and Lane from their beginning as forced roommates to finally being so much more, once they finally admit that they have fallen.
This book is an enjoyable light read that has a good story-line, nice characters and some chemistry.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
