This is a gripping story that is full of sadness, suspense, love, laughter and romance. After Cam’s husband died, his best friend spends all his spare time with Cam. Kade and his boys help keep Cam and his boys busy, so they don’t have much time to be sad. Soon after, Kade’s wife leaves him and files for divorce. Wanting to offer the same support to Kade that Kade had shown him, Cam invites Kade and his boys to move in. Sharing house and children duties, along with supporting each other, makes sense for them. The longer Kade is around Cam, the more his curiosity about him being bi comes up. But neither is sure they are ready to move on, neither is sure that Kade will like being with a man and then there’s Kade’s ex, they’re always on pins and needles waiting for her to return. Kade and Cam are both caring, loyal, sweet, strong and very likable. I really enjoyed the story, it drew me in and had me waiting on the edge of my seat for things to unfold. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys sweet, romantic stories.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Another great addition to the Something About Him series! Ellis always manages to write likeable, relatable characters that you just want to read more about. Couldn’t stop reading this book!

Friendship and Caring . . .
There is so much going on in this story and a ton of emotional situations to deal with. Cameron Lewis lost his spouse, Deacon, to cancer. He has two children. Kade was friends with Cam and Deacon and was there to give his emotional support to Cam and the boys.
Kade Ramsey has a wife and two boys. His wife isn’t around much and he found out why when he discovered she was having an affair. She also didn’t’ want marriage and children anymore and left. Cam was there for him and Kade’s boys. Eventually, they decided to move in together to help each other, and the boys were happy with that situation. Will Kade and Cam acknowledge their feelings for each other? Or is it too soon for Cam to move on and be with someone else?
This was a nice story line where friends look out for each other and support the family structure. With their own devastation and loss, they take time to help others who need to know someone cares. It gave the children stability at a difficult time, because even though Kade’s wife didn’t die, it was still a loss as she abandoned her family. Grab your copy and see how it all works out for everyone.
This is a well written MM friends to lovers romance between Kade and Cameron. Each are dealing with loss .. one by death and the other by divorce. The author takes them on an emotional roller coaster ride with all the feels. What starts out as supporting each other through all of their pain and loss turns to joy and love. Add in the blending of their kids and you have a beautiful story of love and happiness. I loved reading their story and would recommend this book.

Oh my word A.D. Ellis really knows how to bring her characters to life!
You as reader feels all the emotions with the characters be it happiness or emotional upheaval as in the case with best friends turned lovers Cameron and Kade.
A terrible loss for Cameron leads to a tighter bond with his best friend Kade who caught his wife cheating with a much older man which left him broken…

Kade has always been attracted to both sexes but when he entered college he shoved it away and met his now ex wife Stephanie.
Cameron lost the love of his life to cancer and thought he would never find such a deep abiding love again……
“If life can remove someone you never dreamt of losing, It can replace them with someone you never dreamt of having.”~Rachel Wolchin
Their journey to acceptance and love is depicted so beautifully in this story how they raised their two sons both from their first marriage together and melded into a beautiful family. The beauty of such a story is it can be anybody you know that is how you as reader knows that this is definitely a must read!

This was a beautiful and emotional friends-to-lovers story. It started off with the emotions right in chapter one and had me in tears as Cam lost his husband to cancer. His best friend Kade immediately stepped in to support him and help him through his grief. When Kade discovers his wife was having an affair and wanted nothing to do with him and their sons, he was distraught and turned to Cameron for emotional support. As these two men supported each other and spent more and more time together to raise the four children, what had always been a close friendship began to grow into something more. Their chemistry became scorching, and I was cheering for both of them and the four children to have the happy ending they deserved. I loved this story and I definitely recommend it. 5 stars.
I have said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE this series. Although I loved all the books, this one was definitely my favorite.
(Death+Divorce) + four sons + two sets of supportive parents = Dynamic love story. Ok, that is an incredible oversimplified of this story, but those words are the best way to describe all the elements that made this book my favorite. Cameron and Kade are friends and colleagues. Cameron is dealing with the loss of a man he has loved for over ten years to cancer. Kade is dealing with a marriage that is falling apart. Both of them are dealing with the unexpected role of single parents to two boys each. What better way to deal with oceans of grief but to combine households and support each other through the process.
Some where between the hurt, anger, and loss Kade and Cameron discover their ability to live again and what’s more they find love and comfort in each other. But unlike Cameron’s deceased husband, whose voice appears in Cameron’s internal monologues, Kade’s ex-wife is a very real factor in this relationship. What’s more, she is a very unpredictable factor who could pop up and ruin the new normal these two men have just because she can.
Best things about this book:
1. Dual POV
2. Second chance at love trope
3. Friends to lovers trope
4. Steamy sex scenes
5. HEA
6. Low angst mystery

This book had two of my favorite tropes: Hurt/comfort and friends to lovers with a healthy dose of yearning and pining. All that pining is what makes me root for the characters to end up together. I loved the lingering gazes and subtle touches. The author is very good at explaining things subtly; everything is not spelled out for you and I love that in a book. Sometimes horrible things happened and it was very difficult to read but the payoff was worth it. I legit wanted to punch some characters which means it was a success on the author’s part.
My favorite scene has to be the “Soap” scene which had me in stiches. If you know, you know ;). I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of the series and other books by the author.

This is book six in this series Something about him. This book will take you on an emotion roller coaster. The story will hold your attention, the characters are engaging and have a great connection. You will not put this down till you have read it all.
Cameron lost his husband to cancerKade his best friend and his children would go to him and his sons to help them cope. Kade’s wife was cheating on him and didn’t want to spend time with their children so they split up. So the guys decided to make it easier on them and the kids that they would share a house and rent or sell the other one. They helped each other with everything and gradually fell in love. Had problems with Kade’s ex wife but that was ok. Great book!
Kade & Cameron by A.D. Ellis is a story about love and loss and dealing with life on life’s terms. The author gently gets the point across that fears and doubts are overridden by trust and unconditional love. Learning to bravely step up and take a chance that someone will be there to catch you if you fall.
The story is about two best friends, both losing someone they never thought they would be without and how they coped with and grew from those tragedies. It also is a very real story which others can identify with. It is a heartfelt love story with some drama and angst, followed by a satisfying HEA. Kudos to the author for a story well told.

Loved the amazing way the author brought out the emotions of both main characters…between losing a spouse and going through a divorce then all the things they had to deal with on the ex’s and how they bonded and fell in love. Love this author’s writing style…
I loved this book. It was awesome to see the friendship turn into something so much more. I loved the twist and turns that this book and story took. These characters are great and the families are awesome. Can’t wait for the next book.
Cam’s husband dies from cancer and Kade’s wife leaves him and their boys and wants a divorce. They move in together to help each other out and things start to change in their lives. I really enjoyed this book.
This one here hit all the feels the most. Up until it got dire I didn’t want the book to end. Kade and Cameron are a perfect example of why I love friends to lovers. If this had been to guys meeting after their painful losses you wouldn’t of had half the emotional journey. Add to that you’ve got Declan, Myles, Justin, and Evan. I’d love to find out how those four grew up. What do they think of what went on with Stephanie? As teens and adults, how have the felt and handled Kade and Cameron’s relationship? As you can tell, A.D. Ellis pulled me in deep with this one. She does a great job of writing relatable characters with realistic issues. I can’t wait to see where she goes next.
Well here we are at Kade and Cameron’s story , what’s left to say about it , I Loved It!
Cameron is in mourning after losing his husband, left with two kids to raise on his own, his good friend Kade’s marriage has crumbled and he has two kids of his own as well. The two friends move into Cameron’s house since Kade needs a place to live.
The story moves swiftly from good friends to lovers. Cameron and Kades’ children blend well together, a solid, sad and beautiful story with a happily ever after that most of us dream about happening to us!
A.D Ellis has penned a stunning work of loss, hurt, pain, joy, understandings, love and human’s ability to encompass all that into each other and move forward.
