EXIT STAGE SIX by AJ Downey
Narration by Ivy Randall
Wonderful story that deals with grief.
Wonderful story that is short yet incredibly full for all that it deals with. London has a new neighbour who seems to be dealing with a great loss. London only knows that Evan is dealing with the stages of death because she has been there in the past too. Loved the pace of the book and it really flows well.
London is caring and creative and loving. She immediately sees that her new neighbour needs a friend and she steps right in. Her captures her new neighbour but he doesn’t want her to post or share it anywhere!
Evan is dealing with the loss of a life long friend and is hiding from the world trying to deal with it. London is there for him as he goes through the process of living again. London is there but doesn’t realize that he’s keeping a secret that may destroy their budding relationship. Will there be a HEA? Yeah they get there and you’re going to love this book.
Ivy Randall is new to me, and she’s great here and shows an emotional connection to the characters, she easily shows us each character with distinguished voices so it made for an amazing listen.
Ivy Randall narration was perfect. Loved listening how this narrator made this joy to listen to.
Thrilling, surprising, and satisfying story. A short a horror novel. Well plotted with some killer elements, and a mix of social commentary. folklore, and horror .
This is a fairly quick listen, a story of loss and heartache, and finding love through the stages of grief. London meets Evan in her building and they strike up a friendship of sorts. He’s grieving the loss of a close friend, and she just wants to be there for him. They grow close, chemistry and emotions running high, until a secret destroys everything. They help each other trust and love, and ultimately heal and forgive. It’s a lovely, very realistic story about grief and love.

A Contemporary New Adult Romance Novella
By: A.J. Downey
Narrated by: Ivy Randall
Don’t let the length of this book fool you. AJ Downey has written a fantastic story and it’s one you do not want to miss. London has been getting her life in order. It’s taken some time, and she is not going to let the new neighbor interfere. Until she meets Evan and realizes there is a kinship there. Evan has lost his best friend and has moved into the building to deal with his death. And our story begins. London is a wonderful character, very caring and warm. She sees Evan and knows what he is going through. Evan is harboring a secret, and while he is enjoying getting to know London, and feels like he is finding his way back with her, the deception could destroy them. Will they find true love? It’s sweet and heart felt. I really ejoyed my first listen of Downey’s and I will be watching for more.
Ivy Randall is a new to me narrator and I was blown away by her talent. Great voices for all the characters and it was easy to dsitinguish who is speaking. She added nuances to their personalities to create that feeling of sadness and it became lighter as the story progressed. It was a wonderful performance and am looking forward to more of her narrations.
