Three very clean romance stories. I enjoyed every one of them.
Entertaining reads. A relaxing afternoon read.
Refreshing!
Love it . Enchanting and hard to put them down.
In all 3 stories life has delivered a curve ball in younger lives, time has passed, and now it is time to undo the damage and heal into happy ever after.
1. Winter’s Kiss. Small Tenn. Towns can be cruel to girls who are teen preggers. He wasn’t the dad; but her foster brother. She left town 12 yrs ago but all her running away and making something of herself has worn her out. She’s been sent home to recover. There are many references made to the prior love stories that this story builds upon. I really enjoyed the drama of this story. It did drag out just a bit.
2. Maid for Him. Next in series from Book 1, this former foster brother has moved to near Nashville and is a firefighter. It all starts when he rescues a teen from an accident that kills the mom and the girl’s aunt comes to become her guardian. Yep, he falls for her and has bided his time in friend zone for 4 years. It did drag out just a bit with more ‘interruptus’ but has a really cute ending.
3. Love Letters. His family is very much like the family in the other book as they have several adopted foster kids. He goes off to the Marine’s and has recently come back. She had a single mom with bad choices and he was her childhood protector. His leaving was hard on her/them. This story deals with how they develop their adult relationship, solving the problems created by his leaving and both of their ongoing problems. This one was exceedingly slow with each opportunity to resolve having some interruption or withholding. Then it took a long time to wrap up.
Book1:
I enjoyed the sweet small town of this book, which was practically a character on its own merit.
This story is a story about the redemptive value of love. Merry gets a second chance in several aspects of her life with the support of her loving parents and a town full of quirky characters; and for Merry, Happily Ever After, doesn’t just mean a chance for romance.
Book 2:
This is a story that tackles how social strata can affect public perception and one’s ability to make ends meet.
Reed has always had it all and Jenna has always had to scrape by. In this Cinderella Story, Cinderella has to serve at the ball. However, sometimes besties are better than fairy godmothers, and one ‘s own perceptions and judgments are the only thing standing in the way of “true love”.
Book 3:
Rourke keeps getting these love notes with some lines of poetry. To the sender they were meant only as a simple amusement to take her mind off of her loneliness.
She hoped that they would test out Rourke’s depth. However, these notes were driving him crazy.
Even if Rourke can figure out who the sender is, will she be someone that Rourke will finally step up for, to show a whole new depth as a man?
This is just a short note to say I enjoyed it!
I received this from Booksprout as an Advanced review copy. I am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
In Maid for Him, Jenna has been beaten down in life and is barely scraping by financially when she is forced to face the man who publicly humiliated her ten years ago. To add insult to injury, she is now his maid. But she can’t turn down the money. Reed is engaged to this awful selfish beauty queen Olivia, who only sees him for the money and connections he can give her. He finally sees her true character and breaks up with her, but she keeps dragging it out and convinces him to hosting a Valentine Ball. Olivia realizes that he’s not going to take her back and decides to set Jenna up making it look like she stole from her and is having an affair with Reed. Jenna is once again humility by the people in Starling Bay tarnishing her with an undeserved scarlet letter. I wonder that she would even want to go back there. This was a Cinderella story with plenty of ups and downs.
In Love Letters, Rourke is getting romantic love poems from a secret admirer. He spends a lot of his time trying to solve the mystery of who it is to point of where it is distracting him at work. I figured it out early on in the book due to some of things she said in the chapters with the secret admirer, but I won’t give that away. It was a sweet romance and although Rourke had been a playboy, but he was looking for a serious relationship like his friends had.
