Being carried caveman-style by a huge warrior is probably not the most dignified way to arrive as Earth ambassador to the secretive Ytter tribe on the planet Acerex. But Lily Jones doesn’t mind it too much, because the warrior carrying her through the snow and ice is easiest the hottest man she’s ever laid eyes on: dark, muscular, mysterious and with a fiery passion in his green eyes. She knows … knows his name is Ravex’ton, she knows he’s a Fire Planet warrior and she knows he has no reason to love aliens like her.
Even so, he has saved her life several times already, and she can’t help but notice that he seems just as taken with her as she is with him.
But before she can explore his outrageous alien body and check if she might be his Fated Mate, they have to survive attacks by bloodthirsty predators. And then they have to handle the terrible Freeze that will probably kill at least one of them.
But that’s nothing against the deadly traitor who is desperate to tear them apart…
Fire Planet Warrior’s Passion is the second of the Fire Planet Warriors series of science fiction romance novels. The books are complete stories, but should be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Expect steamy scenes, mysterious aliens with features like adult toys, deadly planets and the love story between a BBW from Earth and a sensationally hot alien warrior.
Full-length romance novel with no cliffhangers and a happy-ever-after ending!
more
Being an ambassador to Earth can’t be that hard, right? Just get some aliens to accept your gifts of technology, free, no strings attached. Only Lily’s realising that aliens are stubborn, really stubborn.
THE BLURB
Since Lily’s best friend married the Acerex alien king, she’s been assigned as one of the ambassadors of Earth. Being the techie girl of their group, her goal is to get the Acerex up to date with all of Earth’s cool technology. But that’s proving to be an issue; each tribe she speaks to are reluctant to be the first to accept their free gifts. Disheartened, she decides she’ll give it one last attempt.
Ravex’ton is a Fire Planet warrior, soon to be chief. Unlike the other tribes though, his Ytter tribe are basically fighting to survive in the frozen north pole. Once outcasts, they are now the elite soldier’s of their home-world.
He was given an invitation to meet the new Earthlings that their king seems so fond of. He’s not sure if he can trust these Earthlings though, since every other alien race has started wars with them, but he’s determined to find out for himself. He just didn’t expect to see Lily standing across the room, looking so… alluring.
If he wants to get to know these Earthlings, and Lily, more then he will need to invite her to his tribe…
TONE OF THE BOOK
Like most of Calista Skye’s novels, Fire Planet Warrior’s Passion is relatively light hearted. She’s not so much a comedic writer, but many of her characters will quite happy tease each other with amusing banter. There are plenty of action scenes that keep the tension going, but the characters always find the strength of will to focus on positivity than to get dragged down into woe-is-me situations.
If you are after a fun adventure read thats not heavy on drama or politics, then Fire Planet Warrior’s Passion is perfect for you.
SENSITIVE TOPICS
This book is for for mature audiences: Fire Planet Warrior’s Passion is an erotic romance novel featuring numerous sex scenes.
SERIES SYNOPSIS
Fire Planet Warrior’s Passion is the second book from the Fire Planet Warriors four book series. This book is 193 pages, making it shorter than an average romance novel. Despite the shorter length, Calista Skye has been able to build a rather interesting world filled with rich and dangerous wildlife.
The Fire Planet Warrior series does not seem as popular, and perhaps has been somewhat abandoned in favour of Calista Skye’s newer Caveman Aliens which has 13 books now published.
Each book in the Fire Planet Warrior series focuses on a different couple, expanding upon the world with each additional book. Each book can be read as a standalone, with a happy ever after, however works best when read in the intended order of the series.
THE REVIEW
I had been hesitant after reading the first book in the series, Fire Planet Warriors Captive (read our review). It was a decent novel, but no means great. I do feel like Callista Skye redeemed herself somewhat with Fire Planet Warriors Passion.
Strangely enough this book doesn’t feature the fire planet Bosh much, rather focusing on Acerax alien’s home world. The change of location leads itself to establishing more about the Fire Planet Warriors and their lifestyles, opening up future novels for more exploration and variation.
This is one of the few sci-fi alien romance novels where character’s aren’t necessarily immediately attracted to each other and throw themselves at each other despite imminent danger. Calista Skye does a remarkable job of portraying the hero and heroine as more likely everyday people, interested in romance and ready to take some risks, but not stupid.
One aspect of Calista Skye’s writing that I love is her world building. She has a way of writing living worlds, with danger and excitement at every turn. Monsters come alive. Unique flora is waiting for unsuspecting victims… The characters are never safe, leading to a fun and action packed adventure.
FINAL WORD
Fire Planet Warriors Passion felt like the redemption to Fire Planet Warriors Captive. She’s hinted at a world, and universe, that’s dynamic and filled with potential for adventure and romance. If you enjoyed the first book in the series, then you’ll definitely like this one.
RECOMMENDED BOOKS AND AUTHORS
If you are new to Calista Skye’s writing I would suggest you start with her Caveman Alien series. It’s one of my favourite series, each book being short and sweet and action-packed fun. It’s about a group of human females crashing on an alien planet, forced to survive the local wildlife and the strangely compelling barbarians. Dragons included.
If you enjoy Calista Skye’s writing, chances are you’ll enjoy Ruby Dixon‘s series:
Ice Planet Barbarians is about abducted human women surviving an ice-scape planet, with only the help of the local alien barbarians. The first book is aptly named Ice Planet Barbarians. Theres 21 books in this series, and partway through it also branches into the Icehome series with 14 more books, starting with Lauren’s Barbarian.
Fireblood Dragons is a fun adventure set in a post apocalyptic world that’s been taken over by mad dragons. Only when the dragons meet their soul mates, a human woman, that their madness clears. The first book in this series is Fire In His Blood.
