Absolutely amazing. This is the finale in the Hangman series and it was definitely worth the read. Suspense, action and twists and turns result in a satisfying end. The question is was justice achieved?
Start the series at the beginning. Each book builds both the tension and twists. The WL Knightly team is building a reputation for suspense that never lets up. Well done! (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This is book 6 of The Hangman by W.L.Knightly [aka Ali Parker and Lexy Timms] and this has taken suspense to a new level. We have Jo recovering and thus leaving Jake basically on his own as he really doesn’t know whom he can trust. Corruption runs deep in the department. The Hangman has one more person on his hit list and that is Kyle. But who will get to Kyle first Jake or the Hangman. The FBI has been invited in to help but trouble lies there when Jake sees who has been sent. This has been a fantastic series of suspense that has kept me turning page after page and reaching for each new book eagerly. But what an ending!! Looking forward to more stories by W.L.Knightly. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
An amazing end to the Hangman series that was well written. This intriguing storyline has Jake trying to catch two killers by himself. Jo was shot in the last book and has to recover. This has suspense, murder, twists and turns that had me devouring the pages. If you love a good murder thriller this is definitely one you need to read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The conclusion to Detective Jake and Detective Jo’s hunt to stop Hangman’s crusade for Justice, and to intercept Kyle before he strikes again, while corruption within the city prevails.
With so many variables at play, and Jo out of the equation, ( or so he thinks ) Jake is hard-pressed to end the madness.
So are Madden, Kyle, the Police Cheif, and half the city!
The evil twists and turns, mixed with the suspense are front and center, as they have been with every book along with dark casualties and a pulse-pounding, heat-fueled, well-rounded ending- I cannot wait for more from WL Knightly.
4.5 Stars
I’ve loved this series and Eternal Crime was a fitting way to close the case. My interest was piqued the whole way through from the first book through to the conclusion. Corruption is rife in this town, with underhanded deals, money being handed over under the table and people looking the other way. This instalment was well written with a twist or two to keep you guessing.
Detective Jo Calloway has to chase down the monster that she is related to. He is wanted for a heinous crime that was swept under the carpet years ago. Things have a funny way of catching up to us though and Kyle would never of expected his sister to witness his day of reckoning.
Detective Jake Thomas is faced with the truth he’s been avoiding. He has fallen head over heels for his partner. It took her being shot and the thought of losing her to give him that shove. With Jo out of action he is led on a trail of destruction by Kyle and he’s had to fall back on help from the hangman.
