My best friend’s kid sister wants me to get her pregnant–the old fashioned way.I’ve looked out for Ariel since she was in pigtails. I took her trick or treating, told off the jerk who dumped her, picked her up from Prom. When she needs my help, I’m there. Only she doesn’t need a ride, a study partner, a new tattoo.Ariel wants me to get her pregnant. The old fashioned way.Three months of trying. … way.
Three months of trying. Then we go back to our lives.
It’s a terrible idea. I should say no. I should convince her to wait for Mr. Right.
But the geeky grad student is sure it’s now or never.
And I’m sure as hell not going to let her find someone else.
The Baby Bargain is a standalone romance with a brooding alpha hero, a feisty math geek heroine, and enough heat to melt your Kindle. Come see why readers say “no one writes broken bad boys like Crystal Kaswell.”

So many feels while reading Ariel and Chase’s story. Their story pulls on your heartstrings and makes you root for them to find their happiness in each other and in life in general. Love all the ups and downs and they are explosively hot together.
I liked this story. Ariel wants to get pregnant now. She has medical reasons why but her long time boy friend dumps her because of it. She has her friend Chase help her find a candidate but really just wants him. There is lots of angst and some drama but they finally get the job done. The story was well written with good facts and some hot sex scenes. I’ve liked everything Crystal Kaswell writes. It seems realistic

I have always been intrigued by Chase and if you love the best friend’s little sister romance trope, then you will enjoy The Baby Bargain. While this book is a part of the author’s Inked Heart series it can be read as a standalone.
From the snippets we’ve seen of Chase in the pervious Inked Heart books, it is assumed that he is this brooding, miserable guy who just cannot get over losing his fiancee nor forgive his brother. However, there are many layers to Chase. He is a good man who struggles with his need to save all of those that he loves and his hero complex is evident as he agrees to help Ariels quest for becoming pregnant. He struggles with “feeling as though you are not enough for someone” and I really enjoyed watching him grow as a character.
Ariel is young, analytical, and highly intelligent and the little sister of Chase’s best friend. She is only 24 years-old and certain circumstances put a strict timeline on her chance to become a mother. I liked how determined she was. She knows what she wants (i.e. to have a baby) and isn’t afraid to go after it. While I liked Ariel, I had a harder time connecting with her in the beginning and I think it may be because I didn’t agree with some of her actions/thought processes. Still, she was a likable heroine and I think that both Chase and her work well as a couple. I will tell you that the sex scenes between the two of them were so smoking hot that I am shocked my kindle didn’t catch fire!
I really enjoyed getting to see the other characters from previous books – especially Wes and all of his antics. I also loved the epilogue – it was absolutely perfect! I received.
This is book eight in the Inked Heart series. I am reading this book as a standalone as I have not read all of the books in the series. This book is about Chase and Ariel. Chase is a tattoo artist who has a past that has him carrying demons that are not all his. He is Forest’s best friend and has been in Ariel’s life for a long time. Ariel is Forest’s little sister, she was always in the geeky side and has recently split from her boyfriend. The problem with that is that she wants to get pregnant and have a child, she has to do this now. Ariel needs a baby daddy so turns to the one guy that has always had her back and helped her out of a jam, Chase. Ariel asks Chase to help her find a guy, not to be the guy. At least not at first. I was hooked on these characters right off the start. I am unaware of the series details but Chase and Ariel made their way into my heart immediately. I enjoyed reading how their road to a HEA was not exactly paved in gold as their was some real concerns and doubts in doing ‘the right thing’. I recommend this book and believe I need to read the rest of the series.

I think this book has become my absolute favorite book in the Inked Hearts series. I’m sure I’ve said that before but honestly it is. I think it’s in part because these books and these couples have just gotten better and better. Speaking of which, I’m now hoping for a Forest/Skye book! Back to this one though. I wasn’t sure what I would think of Chase. He was so brooding and uninteresting in the past few books. Sure I wanted to get into his head but the fact that he was still “in love” with his ex after 2 years? The fact that he had abstained for those 2 years? Made me wonder if something was wrong with him. But then we get a brother’s best friend book with a heroine who is nerdy and who just lets thoughts fly? Yeah I knew I’d love her. THEN we get her reasoning for wanting a baby and I just broke. Add all this together, and Chase’s willingness to help, and that brooding man just became one of my favorite heroes, though there were times when I just wanted to smack him. I loved Ariel and I loved how she finally stood up to her brother. I love that she got her dreams and I LOVED her part in the epilogue. I seriously enjoyed this book and didn’t want to put it down. But that confidence in the end, after everything she had to go through. That I loved. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

Heck I adore Crystal Kaswell’s work & these Inked Hearts Men are such deep emotional hideaways.
Thought that Hunter’s deep demons were the worse, but oh I felt that Chase the middle brother’s has been so much deeper as he’s been blaming himself for his family & ex’s demons.
That is until he starts opening up to Forest’s younger sister Ariel & she he about what she needs to do before she’s unable to do so.
Here we see how these 2 are there for each other & more so than their own best friends.
I loved how deep & more connected Chase & Ariel were together & their tear jerker demons, though it brings them closer, even though it could’ve gone in different ways if they didn’t open up about their things.
And the epilogue in The Baby Bargain is a couple of years later, not just months…
For The Love OF Chi Tea
Once again Ms. Kaswell has weaved an engaging tale of broken hearts, minds, bodies, and souls between Chase and Ariel I quickly became immersed in their lives as well as the rest of the Inked Hearts crew!
Babies, mental health, dependencies, overprotective big brothers, love and all the uncertainties that can come with it are some of the fuels that keep the flames of their fire burning throughout their intense story!
Never fear though, where there’s the Inked Hearts crew there’s bound to be mayhem! Layers of humor, and blunt force “trauma” kept me smiling along with that savage amount of steamy haze coming from Chase and Ariel’s work in progress breaks up any of the darkness! *phew*
How the author writes the characters she does? I don’t know, but I hope she never stops! I love to get lost in the sexy, heartfelt worlds, and lives she creates!
The last book in the ‘Inked Heart Series’ * Cries*
Each book was special to me in one way or another, and as sad as I am to see the end, I am looking forward to the start of a new series!
5 magnificent stars!
What an amazing storyline and wonderful characters that kept me turning the pages. Ariel needs to have a baby and comes up with a plan. She asks Chase to help her find a guy to get her pregnant. Chase is her brothers best friend and has been there for Ariel when she needed him. This book has secrets, family, love and so much more.

The Baby Bargain is one of my favorite in The Inked Heart Series!
After receiving devastating news, and left high and dry by her boyfriend, Ariel begins a quest of a lifetime. Chase, Mr. Broody tattoo artist, offers to help Ariel in her quest. But what starts out as honorable intentions, quickly turn to sexy, depraved thoughts of the lovely math nerd. To make matters worse, Ariel is the younger sister of Chase’s best friend, Hunter. The hourney these two go on will prove to be life-altering and healing for both.
A sweet, sexy romance that will tug at your heart strings.
The two leads are dealing with some heavy issues, but it’s still sweet and often funny. There’s lots of communication, lots of dialogue, which is a nice change from the typical deliberate-misunderstandings romance plot line. Hot chemistry, with a slight dom bent, but nothing extreme or demeaning. I’m enjoying the series. 🙂

Finally we get Chase’s story I have been waiting for this one and I wasn’t disappointed It is a well written story that draws you in and keeps you engaged to the very last page I have loved the Inked Hearts series and this one was no exception
Ariel desperately wants a baby but her fiance has no intention of starting a family and in fact jilts her over the issue she knows she is on borrowed time after all she has the gene for the cancer that killed her mother . She turns to the one man she has always had a crush on Chase. He is the sort of man who takes on the entire worlds problems and he is willing to help out Ariel Only problem she is starting to fall for him and he is reciprocating the feeling Will they fall pregnant together will it turn into something more do they have a future together You will have to read to see
A well written story that has two people Ariel and Chase having a lot to get past before they get their happy ending. I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
No matter what trope you put this one under (brother’s best friend, friends to lovers, best friend’s sister), Chase and Ariel’s story is simply delicious and full of the intense feels and steamy passion we expect from Crystal. Chase is surprisingly not quite as dark and emo as you might have expected. Yes, he’s as angsty as you might have been expecting, but he’s starting to realize he needs to figure out how to move on from his perpetual martyrdom (comparing him to the TV version of Daredevil, Matt Murdock,…so yummy!) if he is ever going to fix what he sees as wrong in his relationships, both familial and friendships. He isn’t the grumpy jerk who can’t forgive his recovering alcoholic brother, Hunter. The grumpy man in black who never smiles. Who turns down the numerous offers from the women he meets or tattoos. He’s drawn to Ariel, who is his best friend, Forrest’s sister. He is drawn into her search for a donor after her boyfriend freaks out and breaks up with her instead of proposing. He was supposed to be part of her future except he decided he wasn’t ready for the impending parenthood Ariel wants, needs, because she has discovered she has to proactively cut her childbearing years to a very short window to not only at least have a chance at pregnancy but a longer life. She does not want to die of the same cancer that took her mother far too early. And she certainly is not willing to give up her dreams of giving birth to her own child. The only problem is, when Phillip backs out, she has a very short window of opportunity, and now no sperm. And she doesn’t want to go the donor route, at least not the traditional sperm bank route. She ends up asking Chase to help her, while in all honesty she wouldn’t mind it being him. Chase realizes he wouldn’t mind it were him either. He finds himself obsessed with thinking about Ariel.Their journey to a future with a HEA is filled with passion, a few bumps in the road due to Chase’s many emotional landmines, but in the end Ariel is the one who brings the smile back to our resident Matt Murdock. He not only finds himself figuring out how to fix his relationship with his brothers but others in his life. I will own up to a few teary moments, but you’ll be smiling in the end. We get to see all of our favorite tattooed hotties and their sweeties. I love the Inked Hearts family. And I adored Chase and Ariel.
