She’s made to bend at my will – no matter how much she tries to deny it.Success, money, power. I have it all. But that doesn’t force me to hang out with a bunch of boring & wealthy narcissists. I just want to blow off some steam and mingle with a crowd more to my liking. But when I see her on the dance floor, I’m reminded of what I really want—what I really need. A girl like her. Beautiful, … really need.
A girl like her. Beautiful, strong-willed and offbeat.
Nicky tries to fend me off with her sassy attitude, but her attempts are futile.
I can see the twisted little thing she really is.
I can’t wait to tame her, break her and show her how much she needs this.
But can she really commit the way I need her to?
No one ever challenged me on this like she does.
No one ever made me question everything I am.
No one ever made me… reconsider.
This is a re-release and the book has previously been published under the title ‘Undisclosed Desire’.

3,5 hot, steamy and sexy stars
This is my first book of this author and while I enjoyed the writing style, the ability to build tension and anticipation I’m a little bit disappointed with the ending. In my opinion a little bit rushed and some subjects of the relationship left opened and suddenly in epilogue we are informed all is great and fine.
I really liked all the intense sexy, steamy, hot scenes. The tension, the chemistry, the connection between characters were almost palpable. Characters were also true to themselves. No troubled, dark past that would shape their characters, no cruelty, no ulterior motives which is refreshing and different to other novels around same theme. The story well paced, reading this was easy, tension build perfectly but my rating must be lower than 4 full stars as really conclusion of this love story was lacking some serious substance. Left me disappointed. But I would recommend you this read if you want something that is quick to read and that make you blush.
An entertaining story about Nicky who thinks she living exactly as she want, but isn’t really happy and Evan a wealthy man, who lives alone since his girlfriend as well as submissive broke his heart.
That’s the start.
We follow them from the first meeting in an underground club and their struggle to find each other.
I was hooked from the first chapter. I enjoyed the strongwilled Nicky who discover who she really is and Evan who has his issues to battle.
The characters were well described and I felt a connection with them.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I love characters with, well, character. And, Linnea May has given us a quirky, compelling, kinky H/h or D/s in this book. This book is not as dark as some of her other books, but a great read none the less. Evan and Nicky are fairly opposites, except for how quirky and kinky they are. Even though this is a relatively short, fast read, it is well developed and interesting from start to finish.
****I received an ARC and this is my honest review ***
Great story of how opposites attract, or are Nicky and Evan really that different? At first glance, Nicky seems to be the typical “girls just wanna have fun” and Evan the uptight preppy billionaire type. When the layers (and there are so many for these two) are finally peeled back, we begin to see their true personalities and the start of a relationship, but what kind? Linnea May is a true master of weaving a story of unconventional relationships between characters and this was another of her best stories. Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself into this book.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
It’s been awhile since I read this author work but she never disappoint. Nicky and Evan meets in a common place but what they want out of a relationship are two different things until Nicky stops fighting the battle. I enjoyed watching their way through a Dom/Sub relationship and the heat level that sizzles as they become familiar with each other. One click this newest release that will surely give you the hot steamy romance that will leave you want good more.
This book is for a mature audience. Nicky is a young lady who is still trying to find her way in life. She dropped out of college and is working two part-time jobs. She shares an apartment with Yuka, who is both a friend and a sounding board. One night Nicky goes to a new club and captures the attention of Evan. A man she recognizes as representing everything that she doesn’t like: money, power, and self-importance. Evan is intrigued by Nicky because she is so very different from the stale, cookie-cutter people that he usual interacts with at parties.
Evan talks Nicky into going to have a drink with him and then they wind up at a hotel. What happens next is a truly surprising and enlightening experience for Nicky. She will have to learn how to wrap her head around why she is so drawn to Evan and the way he dominates her and finds her submissive side.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really loved how free Nicky was and didn’t care about a lot doing her own thing againt other peoples judgement until Evan the self made billionaire sets his eyes on her and goes in for the kill, he is very bossy and Dominant in all things containing Nicky but they both learn to trust and decisions are made and accepting. I liked that she was new to the Dom-Sub life it made it that much more interesting. Wonderful plot and the characters stand out, they were so good together and I loved following their journey.
Quick little read about Nicky and Evan, learning their way through a Dom/Sub relationship. Billionaire bachelor Evan, and every day oddball of sorts, Nicky meet in of all places a nightclub, then switch it over to a bar across the street to get on a more personal level. They have an instant attraction, no matter how much Nicky tried to deny it.
Evan is in no way Nicky’s normal type, but she felt a pull towards him from first sight of him, in the club. Nicky, stubborn person that she is, tries to fight it to no avail. Instant chemistry. And so begins the start of their Sub / Dom relationship. Although it’s not easy going at first. After a while though they work out the kinks (pun intended on that one) and have a lot more fun.
Nicky is all kinds of an oddball. She funny, sweet, awesome to be around. Quirky as all get out, and just living her life for her. She does her, without much thought to anything else. Until Evan comes into the picture. Then a whole lot of things change.
Evan, felt a connection with Nicky from the start. He liked the way Nicky didn’t conform. She didn’t give in to society and what they thought she should be. She didn’t reign herself in like most do. He found it refreshing. He also thought Nicky was a natural submissive and set out to prove his theories. And he did it in a most delicious way.
I really liked this book, even if the ending was a little abrupt. I would have liked it to be flushed out a bit more, but everything was tied up, so I can’t complain too much. I like the character, and their story. One of two people learning about each other and their relationship. I’d recommend a read.
Twisted Little Thing by Linnea May
Nicky is a free spirit she doesn’t care what people think. She does what she wants when she wants no matter what her friends and family think or say. Evan is a billionaire tech mogul who sees her in an underground club and is drawn to her because she reminds him of someone from his past. She has no clue who he is when he introduces himself. He is Dom with specific needs but she has never experienced anything from that world. He introduces her to his likes ,wants and needs in the bedroom while opening her eyes to her hidden desires. Their chemistry is undeniable, the sex is mind blowing. Yet when she needs him the most he leaves her high and dry. Dangling in the wind with no one to help pull her to safety. Can she forgive him or will she walk away?
Their journey is one of discovery, acceptance, forgiveness and love.
Five
A little dark, a lot twisted, and completely addictive. They say everyone has a type. Nicky is exactly Evan’s type. Thing is, Evan really isn’t Nicky’s – at first. This pair lights sparks off each other that nearly short-circuited my reader. I loved the chemistry and the writing. What pushed me to places I don’t want to face was the depth of Nicky’s submission to Evan. My independent feline nature turns up it’s nose at those kinds of arbitrary demands. Other than the parts of the book that asked me to face my own baggage, the only real issue I had, was that it was over too quickly. It felt like I’d already reached the end before I fully realized I’d even begun. I would have loved to see the story carry on for another several thousand words.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Another amazing book by Linnea. Evan & Nicky plunge you into the world of BDSM with so much panty melting yumminess. This is a beautiful read that captured my attention the whole time.
“Twisted Little Thing”
This title comes with a plethora of meanings surrounding the fast-moving story between Hipster without a cause Nicky and the Business Tycoon with a social status and a need for dominance in all things Evan.
Their unlikely, yet steamy and instant connection sends them on a high octane of Dom and Sub trial and error of finagling trust, happiness, and self-worth – mixed with some mid-level drama, communication errors, wittiness on their road to a heartfelt HEA.
Not as dark as I expected, but twisted all the same- Evan expected a lot from Nicky, while Nicky seemed clueless, yet not all the time, their relationship was intriguing, dirty and had this emotional layer that captured my attention!
Quite a fascinating story! Loved both POVS!
Linnea May never fails to suck me into her worlds!
4.5 Stars!
3 1/2 Stars! Stand-alone told in dual POV with HEA! This novella takes place over just a few days and has BDSM theme. There is an instant attraction when Evan sees Nicky on a dance floor. Evan is a dominant and he sees that Nicky wants to submit to him even though she hasn’t experienced that before. They have a few miscommunications / misunderstandings that are not dragged out. After a few play sessions there is an epilogue 3 years in the future. Short and Steamy!
A man walks into a bar…sound like the beginning of a joke? Let me assure you, Twisted Little Thing is anything but a joke! Evan Beckhart had to escape the boring, stuffy party and get some fresh air. He wandered into a basement bar where he spots a free spirit whose dancing is so frenetic it’s scaring the customers away. Nicky has always followed her own heart and does what makes her feel free. With a single glance, Evan sees something in her that he recognizes. She looks just like Sheila, the soap star who dumped him and broke his heart. No, this is more of a stimulating recognition and he begins to hope that he might have found the right one. Nicky sees his eyes on her and can’t understand why such a gorgeous man would have any interest in her. She’s nothing special but there’s something a little bit familiar about him. After some flirting and snarky insults, Evan suggests that they go somewhere quiet to talk. She says maybe, but starts to question what it is about him that makes her want to follow him, but challenge and defy him at the same time. Much stronger is the pull he has on her heart and her mind that he’s able to make her feel comfortable and safe. After just one night of recognizing that they are made of the same fabric, they begin a slow awakening to the shared pleasure in a BDSM relationship. The plot is unique, the characters endearing, the angst slight and love is everywhere. The ending disappointed me in that it felt unfinished. The 3 years later epilogue helped, but it wasn’t enough. Otherwise, it’s a captivating book with fascinating main characters! Recommended!
This is the story of Evan and Nicky. They are so different, yet the same in other ways. Keeping their relationship a secret from the paparazzi, Evan realizes, was not the right decision, as he is a billionaire and is a renowned bachelor. There are other factors to this story, also. Evan’s past relationship is one. Evan is a Dominant. At the beginning, Nicky is a conflicted submissive.. In the end, through all the turmoil they faced, it worked out. This is a good read.
