Summer is upon Charm Cove, and Moira Wicked is busy as ever. With her nosy family in the thick of wedding planning, and every witch and warlock in town on the guest list for her destined marriage to Liam Good, she’s succumbed to the twists and turns of fate. Just as she’s wishing she could use a distraction, a fishing boat runs aground on a small island off the coast of Charm Cove. Oh, and the … and the men on said fishing boat claim, of all things, they were lured to the island by a woman singing to them. A siren.
Le sigh. Moira might’ve hoped for a distraction, but not specifically a siren.
The witches and warlocks of Charm Cove are a tad out of practice with thwarting a siren. That doesn’t dissuade Moira and the lot of them from turning their powers to solve the mystery.
With Charm Cove at the height of summer tourist season, it’s teeming with people happily buying up magic by the bottle. Moira’s destiny is also racing toward her. To keep a centuries old witchy feud from bubbling up again, she must marry Liam in time. The shores of Scotland beckon while she fends off a siren’s mayhem in Maine.
Take a visit to Charm Cove, where Wicked meets Good and where you just might find there’s almost always more than meets the eye.

I was just wondering about the Wickeds and Goods. Also that I needed a lighthearted cozy mystery to read. Lo and Behold, here is the book. Just like magic.
Planning a wedding (or are you?). Need a distraction to help the stress? How about some marine vessels crashing on a shore and get this saying a siren song lured them there. Guess where we go from here.
I love that the siren song is explained by magic and human elements. Satisfies all.
Really fast paced, book is over before you know it. You can read by itself but honestly , the real enjoyment is following the characters in their lives. So if you start her, find some time to read the previous ones and meet all the characters. They all have important parts to play.
I was hoping for a book about the wedding in Scotland. i even had a few suggestions for the story. Sad not going to happen. Not even a novella. 🙁
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
This is such a fantastic series and I always get excited when I see the next book coming in the line up. It is super entertaining. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but is also part of a progressive story. If you have not read the previous books, I do recommend you go back and read them cause they are so entertaining.
Each story is written as a first person narrative with a HFN ending.
The characters are fantastic. They make you laugh, think, and just simply sit back and enjoy a few hours of entertainment. Fantastic story line, great description to detail, and engaging dialogue.
All in all, a fantastic read and I can not wait for more.
Would I recommend this book? Yes
Would I read more from this author? Yes
Sassy Beta Reading and Review
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Siren Song Gone Wrong #6 – This story follows a different track since there are no murders in this mystery, which was interesting and made for an enjoyable read. Not going to talk about the wedding plans, you will have to find out for yourself. The author does her usual good job with her writing style and good descriptions and interesting characters. While not necessary, it is worth reading the complete series from the first book. There is an overview of the story, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I contacted the author to review her books and received this book through Booksprout. 4*
Wicked Good Series:
Destiny’s A Witch #1 – I like this book better than Witch You Wouldn’t Believe and Witch is When it Gets Crazy. The witches and warlocks are likable and their dialog realistic. I’m happy to see a male is called a warlock instead of witch (PC is so stupid with the sexes). Well written, clean but with sexual attraction makes this story entertaining. Add mischievous teenage witches, nosy friends and family on top of family pressure to do the Destiny thing, while determining if a death was an accident or a murder, leaves the main characters in all types of states. Never mind if there’s a second chance for them or it is Destiny, there’s a lot of happenings. Pretty good story without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of this genre. 4*
Hex Me Not #2 – Another interesting book in the Wicked Good Mystery Series. The witches and warlocks are still likable, interesting and entertaining. The background storylines continue while the main mystery keeps the reader immersed in the quickly read, well thought plot. The story moves along a steady moving pace, is clean and without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of books of this genre. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Spells and Silver Bells #3 – Another good addition to the Wicked Good Mystery series! I found this book more intriguing and suspenseful than its predecessors. The characters are interesting and likable, and the regulars steady grow along with the stories. The storylines, original and new, are interesting and intelligent. This book is a bit more substantial and took a bit longer to figure out the villains, but I did miss the main reason, which was…. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing about a book before I read it. These books can be read out of sequence, but the storylines are build from the first book on, although all are standalones, no cliffhangers. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 4*
The Great Maple Caper #4 – Pretty good mystery and plenty of “when is the wedding”. The storylines contain a few kinks and an addition of a rather nice character (my favorite over many). The twins are still being themselves and trying to help investigate as well as solve a puzzle. All the characters are performing their duties while the ladies keep asking “when is the wedding?”, driving Moira nuts. I like the sexual tension that’s between Moira and HISNAME; it’s not about body parts and hot this and hot that, but what is felt. The reader knows the power of their love without the trash aspect and inyourfacecontinuously. More of the powers of the witch families are revealed while trying to solve the mystery. The pace is fast and the descriptions keep the reader immersed in the story. There’s humor and a good dose of suspense, rather well done. There’s an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a book is about before I read it. I contacted the author to review her books and received this book through Booksprout. 4*
Oopsy Daisy #5 – Entertaining and intriguing and filled with pretty flowers, OK may be too many pretty flowers. Fast paced with plenty of humor and intrigue, along with more questions about the wedding, this was a quickly read book. The characters are good and believable and the mystery they work together on is kinda funny. It is hard to write a review on this series without turning it into a book report. Try to read them sequentially, but standalone works well, too. There are only a couple of series that I really enjoy about witches and this is one of them. I contacted the author to review her books and received this one through Booksprout. 4*
Wicked Good Series end.
