Fantastic suspenseful read
I loved how author was delivering the story in doses. Every chapter unravels a little bit of the history between main protagonists. We don’t know from the start what their history was and that makes the whole plot even more interesting.
I enjoyed the drama, the villain characters and how it all ended. Story kept me entertained and I found myself reading way past midnight and that says something as above reading books I really enjoy my sleeping time.
That’s my second book of this author and I have a good feeling about next books, hope they will be as good as this one.
An amazing well written second chance romance. This intriguing storyline has danger, secrets, suspense, mystery, ups and downs, love, and a whole lot of passion. The characters are interesting, strong, well developed and have undeniable amazing chemistry that they try to deny and avoid. I was addicted from beginning to end in suspense as there was so many questions I just had to know what happened and/or what was in store or going to happen. Loved the twists and turns and a few unexpected surprises, including the passion, heat, and love that Maddy and Daniel radiated off the pages. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
These two pretty much made their whole relationship really complicated and beyond.
This was a very interesting book from beginning to end. It was gripping and enjoyable. I absolutely loved Madeline. She was such an amazing character. So head strong and determined. Her mom was a hoot. Madeline and Daniel knew each other when they were kids. Daniel got engaged to her friend and basically stopped talking to Madeline. Little did she know that Daniel was keeping an eye on her. They both come back to town for their high school reunion. But Madeline is determined to stay away from Daniel. But fate has something else in store for these two. I loved reading about these two. It was an enjoyable book that you could really get into. If I wasn’t already a fan of Aubrey I would be after reading this one.
Madelaine and Daniel were best friends growing up until they began to notice each other in a very adult way. The first time each of them had sex was together and the fear of destroying the friendship made Daniel back off fast. This broke Maddy’s heart and ten years later at their high school reunion he did it again. Their story made painful reading as Daniels lies kept mounting up. His excuses were weak and his actions made him a coward. The story ends happily but I find it hard to forgive Daniel unlike Maddy.
I received a free ARC copy of this book and have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed this book
