Katie was a matchmaker who wanted to grow her business. Max needed a wife so his grandmother would trust him to leave the family business to. Max coerced Katie into a fake relationship/proposal and then things changed and became more real than fake. Was it possible for two people who were so completely opposite to have a real relationship? Was it worth the risk?
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
This story is not conventional. A matchmaker who “match” herself to someone so completely opposite, a match which can’t work, while her 90% match is just next door. Lots of mess, lots pushing and pulling, lots of awkward situations and all of that to finish with a marriage luckily. It was a sweet read.
Opposites Attract.
This sweet and clean romance features daycare teacher Katie who starts an online matchmaking business to help out the single women of Sweet Bay. A mix up with her very first client finds her pretend dating workaholic Max Travers. The two of them couldn’t be more different from their character and outlook on life to their social standing but somehow they attract each other like magnets.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
LOL this is such a wonderfully detail story of a young lady that trying to get ahead and that’s not easy when you are a teacher for 4-5 year olds like Katie! So she has this brilliant idea to start up an online dating service, but she lives in a small town and everyone know everyone! Can you imagine seeing Katie waving a sign around in a poofy wedding dress advertising for an online dating service? LOL I can! That’s exactly what she did in the busiest traffic areas which Max Travers’s happens to see!
Max is a workaholic that runs the family business Traver’s Bridal, his grandmother wants him to find a girlfriend/wife or he doesn’t get the family business……he’s been in the business since high school working and not exactly happy with grandmother.
Max gets hold of Katie and sets up a meet and greet, unfortunately Max can’t make it for business reason and sends his assistant ……..OMG it only gets better!!
My Accidents Marriage (Sweet Bay Brides) is such a wonderful read, you won’t be disappointed ……check out all the reviews!
Rachel Taylor has written another winner.
The story is a sweet romance that has lovable characters and a great plot.
This is a really fun story with a good message when it comes to finding the right match. Katie is a small-town girl who is vibrant and silly. Max is a no-nonsense businessman from the city who needs Katie’s help in securing him a future bride (or a fake one). Things don’t go as planned for either of them. There are a lot of over-the-top moments, some of them cheesy, but there are unexpected moments too that make this story unique.
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
In this story of opposites attract Max and Katie are brought together because of a requirement by his grandmother and a mistakenly signed contract.
This mistake leads to misunderstandings, yet they become almost instant friends despite this.
This story has sweet romance and just the right touch of humor and tension!
I received this story as an Advanced Reading Copy and am giving this opinion voluntarily.
A sweet must read romance of opposites attracting. Part of the Sweet Bay Brides series. I j the small home town pride. The activities and the town peoples and the descriptions.
A good book to relax and decompress to.
I was smiling while I read.
I highly recommend My Accidental Marriage, Sweet Bay Brides, and the author Rachel Taylor.
She’s a go to author for me especially when feeling down.
My Accidental Marriage by Rachel Taylor a five-star read that will whisk you away. This is a fantastic story in the Sweet Bay Brides series, but they can all truly be read as stand-alone as they all feature a different couple in the idyllic and beautiful Sweet Bay area. Kate Killian is a woman of substance, she knows what she wants and isn’t scared to make a fool of herself to get it, she wants the ladies of her sweet town to be happy and if she can find herself some happiness along the way then even better. But she ends up going about it differently than she plans at the start. This is so sweet and romantic, but there is also some drama thrown in to keep it interesting. Rachel Taylor has a way of brining stories to life and keeping the passion alive and still managing to keep it clean, the story doesn’t need anything else to keep you hooked.
I really enjoyed this sweet story. I read this book in a day, I did not want to put it down. It made me feel happy and sappy as Katie and Max, two total opposites, get to know each other. I laughed out loud throughout the book. I highly recommend it if you love Clean, Sweet, Funny, stories with heart.
