The Russian mob recruited a hired gun from New York, and the guy looked exactly like Walt Williams. This uncanny resemblance landed Walt in the dog house with his wife, the cops, and the Italian mob. It takes all Walt’s skill and cunning to stave off an all-out war between the Russians and Italians, and undo the damage wrought by his evil twin.
Poor Walt! He really does get into a lot of trouble, even when he is the innocent party! I absolutely loved this book and all that happened. This crew of seniors is fantastic to listen to.
A doppelgänger, say what. I have always wondered if I have a twin out there. Well Walt Williams has found his and it’s not good. Seems his evil twin is with the Russian mob and causing a hard time for Walt. Robert Thornhill just keeps writing winners. George Kuch once again does a great job of narrating this book. I was gifted this book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.
This review is for the audio book.
Oh wow, I really enjoyed this instalment to the Walt Williams series. I loved all the trouble Walt’s double got him into , I did wonder why everybody that knew him didn’t ask why he was speaking with a Russian accent? but still really enjoyed it and found it funny.
When someone sends Maggie a video of her husband getting a lap dance from a stripper, Walt has no idea the trouble that is about to come his way. It starts with small things like getting arrested for robbing a convenience store but soon escalates to the boss of the Italian Mob wanting a quiet word with him. It’s a good job Walt can talk his way out of most thing because otherwise he will be trying out a new pair of cement shoes. Walt’s doppelganger works for the Russian mob and wants to take over Kansas city and using Walt’s face might just solve a few problems, like taking out a witness that is going to testify against them. Can Walt and the gang throw a snickerdoodle into the works?
I still really like George Kuch as the voice of Walt and his friends and can’t imagine anyone else who could do such a good job.
Audiobook review: Walt Williams and gang are back in this edition of Lady Justice and the Evil Twin. Walt’s doppelgänger causes trouble and the team has to use different tactics to put an end to the tomfoolery. The characters are likable and believable. The storyline is interesting and entertaining! The narrator did a fantastic job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Lady Justice and the Evil Twin is my thirty-sixth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and the Living Trust. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
