Whoever thought achieving career goals could be boring? Not Duncan Witten, but here he is at forty-one, in his dream job… and hating it. Throw it all away for a challenge? Yes, please! If only Dunc had known his challenging new job came with Paul Hanks, a man who redefines “stubborn.” They need to work together to meet targets, but thanks to Dunc’s idiot predecessor, Paul won’t take his calls or … calls or reply to emails.
There’s only one solution: travel across the country and confront Paul face-to-face. It’s time to take things out of the office.
This is an 18,000 word stand-alone novella with a HFN ending.

Oh. My. God.
This was hysterical. I laughed so loud I woke my dog up reading this short MM Romance. The first interaction between the two MCs had to be one of the funniest meet-cute’s I’ve ever read.
I have one bone to pick with Louisa Masters. She made me enjoy a story written in present tense. In the interest of full disclosure, almost every other book I’ve read in present tense I’ve DNF’d.
I LOVED Duncan and Paul. Loved them. I wanted this story to be longer, so much longer.
They were adorable and hot and hilarious.
It’s definitely one of my favourite romances of the year.
I really enjoyed Duncan’s personality; kind of cocky but down to earth. Unlike some readers, I love first person POV because it brings me closer to the main character so I enjoyed the ride inside Duncan’s head. I do wish there was more to their developing relationship instead of the shop talk which I found a bit distracting, maybe because I know very little about that business. I did love (and chuckled through it) the way Duncan tricked Paul into seeing him. That was creative to say the least, lol. This was a quick read and I do hope Ms. Masters continues their story some time in the future. I would love to get to know Paul better. Great cover too.
How do you get what you want?
You go after it and who knows you might find so much more!!
I really enjoyed Out of the Office, Duncan and Paul both determined to have things their way, but their way will be tested when the two come face to face. Great characters and an entertaining storyline make this a wonderful read.

Short, Sweet and Funny!
This is a wonderful short story of lust, at first sight, unknowingly being in a relationship you hoped for and some Out of the Office fun. I enjoyed the journey to get to know Dunc and Paul and their push and pull was funny. This is a great short story to get you out of your head and enjoy an everyday couple finds each other in an everyday world. It’s set in Australia and I love the Australianisms!!
A great short read with just enough heart and humor!!

Out of the Office is a fun, romantic novella. With just the right amount of background and character growth, it was easy to escape in Louisa Masters’s sweet world. I would love to see more from these two gorgeous men.
Fun and witty, Out of the Office provides perfect romantic escapism. Despite being a novella, there was plenty of character depth and relationship growth. I would happily read a novel’s worth of these great characters.
My biggest complaint about this book was the length, and that’s not the author’s fault at all. Okay, if you want to get technical about it, it’s totally her fault because she wrote the book. I didn’t know how short it would be when I grabbed the opportunity to review it through Other Worlds, Inc. I might have missed the length in the description, I don’t know. Either way, it was too short, because I absolutely loved Dunc and Paul.
Okay, true, people who work together should never, ever date. There are just too many ways for it to go wrong and all of them end messy. That said, this is romance, which means we can keep things a little less than realistic for purposes of creating joy* and if we want to let a workplace romance happen we can do that.
(Looks at my own body of work a little nervously.)
Moving on.
In all seriousness, there will be people who definitely don’t want to read about a workplace romance in a telecom company. For me, it reminded me of business school, but business school before I showed up for my first day of classes. Everything was shiny and hopeful, and both Paul and Duncan truly had their workers’ best interest at heart.
I was truly envious of the way Masters was able to make both personalities unique and have them shine so nicely even in such a short story. Again, I would have liked to see this drawn out a little more purely for my own enjoyment, but I did enjoy this story and I’d happily read more.
As mentioned above, I received a free copy of this book for my own reading pleasure.
Duncan from Melbourne is extremely invested in his job and when things get harder he needs Paul who works in Perth western Australia to communicate .
Trying to talk to Paul on the phone is hopeless so Duncan fly’s to Perth ..
The commutation between both guys seemed hopeless but when they meet it changed .
There is so much in this story I found i didn’t want it to end ..
The story line was great as I can imagine all that happening in a telco business or any business .
Feelings for each other were mutual and Duncan tried not to be so eager !
It was so humorous with Duncan’s thoughts .. I love it.
So many innuendo’s from Paul.
They met- they texted- they flirted- they fit!
It is a great story that I fell into and loved beautifully written.
