Surprises and trials await Allianna on her journey to reign as Queen of Shadows, some with the power to bring her to her knees or send her soaring above the masses.

Alliana shines as a Queen! It’s not easy balancing motherhood, her two Kings, and fighting off Lucifer and his horde of demons. She’s forced to step up to the plate and boy, does she ever! Her relationship with Kian and Isla grows deeper as they all realize their place in each other’s lives. Fighting off the Devil himself was epic, and dare I say it, humorous at times. And never doubt a mother’s and Queen’s love! She will find a way to prevail over every challenge thrown her way! I would highly recommend reading King of Shadows before this one! A fantastic duet!
Queen of Shadows is the last book in this dark romance duet. The story continued where it left off with Allianna taking over the Shadow realm after that epic action from the first book. In this book, Allianna is juggling the role as Queen, finding out a way to evade Lucifer’s attention, and trying to recover from the trauma she suffered. With all of these, Allianna must summon up her strength to protect her unborn child with the help of her loved ones, Islador and Kian.
I agree that this isn’t as dark as the first one but there is a lot of sweet, tender moments, love and some kickass action in this book. Also, this story is intriguing with Lucifer’s manipulation in the works. Overall, a great way to end this duet and another enjoyable read from the author.
OMG! Queen of Shadows was so good .
Allianna must rule and reign now that Kian and Islador are gone.
But she is pregnant with Isladors child and she must take over the Shadows.
This series has the reader craving more and wanting the story to never stop
Queen Of Shadows: The Shadowcrown Duet Book Two by Kay Elle Parker is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number two in this wonderful series that I loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy, dark and paranormal romances in their stories.

Once again we struck gold with Kay Elle Parker! This sequel is the conclusion of an epic PNR fantasy story about Alliana, a supernatural being that can travel across the realms: the Shadow realm, the mortal realm and the underworld. No longer an innocent pawn in a game played by heaven and a demon, she is now the Queen of the Shadow realm. She has lost much, the men she has known all her life who became her lovers and protectors. Yet still she has resilience and strength, her desire to do right by her people in the Shadow realm. She takes her position as queen very serious and will go to any lengths to make sure that sinister forces, aka Lucifer, do not encroach on what is hers. When she gets her men back from hell, she knows that Lucifer is up to some evil plotting. She must use all her wits, abilities, and resources to protect what is hers, and not just the realm but also the heir to her kingdom.
This was an exhilarating joy ride- following Alliana from realm to realm, witnessing her badass attitude, and sacrificing everything to keep her most precious loves safe from Lucifer’s grasp. Though this book is steamy sexy hot, it does not have the triggers the first installment had. In this series finale we get to see the three lovers develop their tender love and care for one another. I enjoyed it very much as it was an extension of a fated mates tale. I loved that they all got their HEA and a little surprise for each male lover
Now the Queen is alone.
She has to deal with the mess Antzel left behind, prepare to be a mother, she doesn’t even have time to grieve for her two men. And the dread of Lucifer’s next move is a constant reminder that she has only her shadows to protect her.
But of course nothing is ever as it seems in this realm.
Astonishing things start to happen. The twists and turns this story takes left me with serious whiplash.
Just this much: Good on you, little queen!!!
Kay Elle Parker is an amazing author who writes some tortured heroes who are trying to find their way, and some totally BAMF heroines. Take Islador, Kian, and Allianna. They all perfectly fit into those categories.
Isla and Kian have been literally tortured by Lucifer, and now they are trying to get back to their real life with each other and with Allianna. She has been tortured too, in a different way, and it is the gift that keeps on giving.
Then there is good old Luci. He loves to cause trouble, because, well, he is the first of the Fallen and he is the Prince of Lies. He has his own motivations about everything, and he’s going to make things happen the way that he wants. No matter what.
I love these characters. I would love to see more of them over the years. And I still totally want Dhur’s story.
This book was a little slower for me than the first. The author hit on some points that were really explained at least for me, it turned out to be a good book. The whole world building was great and you actually could visualize what this world looked and feels like.

Between the Devil and a hard Place – Stunning Resolution!!
Allianna was raised to become a Queen. Carefully controlled, and ruthlessly taken. Lucifer and his demons take no prisoners, unless it is to torment.
Allianna has untapped powers, the love of Kian and Islador, and the guardianship of the soft-hearted but fierce golem Dhur.
While gritty and dark, this story contains love, fortitude, strength and determination and the glimmer of hope that there could be a way out of the impossible trap set by Lucifer. Un-put-downable, and you must read in order!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
This was a great ending to Alliana and her men’s story. She is just such a strong woman who is traumatized but still trying to be the queen the shadow kingdom needs. On top of all that she is pregnant. And now Lucifer has his own plans for her. But in order to get what he wants he knows he needs to give her some incentive. . . .
I loved the first book so I was looking forward to this one so much! It definitely didn’t disappoint! I love the twists that get thrown in this book. And the ending . . . . You don’t want to miss!
As the blurb for this book states, Alliana has survived. Running the Shadow Realm and recovering from PTSD from horrific events is really hard, and surprising events occur to help her. But are there ulterior motives involved? When Lucifer is involved, nothing is simple.
Lucifer can be charming, or he can be frightening, and Alliana is struggling to save her world and get baby from his clutches. Alliana is a archangel…a hybrid that attracts Lucifer. But Alliana has more help than she originally thinks, but does it complicate her life further instead of helping?
I didn’t find this book as dark as book one, but it does have some outrageously violent scenes that are beautifully designed. Nothing is written as throwaway and everything this author writes here feels important. There is so much I could write here, but they are too spoilery! It’s a very unique paranormal story with highly relatable ideals. However, I didn’t understand the ending and how Alliana was able to bring “a pet to heal.” ( When you read it you will get my reference ) I didn’t follow how that was possible and wish it was a little clearer. Otherwise, it was a wild ride in a beautifully crafted world that was easy to fall in love with.
Edited 6/20: the book’s ending was changed a bit and clarified. After reading it, I no longer an puzzled by how Alliana was able to bring a pet to heal. It’s nice to see authors like Parker who take constructive criticism well to make their manuscripts stronger. Changed to 5 stars.
This is the second and last book in this duet, so you need to read book one, King Of Shadows first. The entertaining story continues to unfold with Allianna struggling to pick up the pieces after the fallout from the last book. There is tension, drama, twists and plenty of emotional turmoil to keep you in the moment and focused on the book. I liked this read and thought it brought a satisfying conclusion to the storyline.
Received ARC from Author For Honest Review.
I Give this Book a 3.5/5 Star Rating, listing as 3.
No Spoilers.
Romance: 3.5/5
Suspense: 3/5
Drama: 3.5/5
Dark: 3ish/5
Heat: 3.5ish/5
HEA(?): Yes
Predictable(?): (on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Never Saw it Coming & 10 being Very Predictable) 7.5/10
Compared to Book 1, the Darkness Level (to me) definitely dropped.
It was a little more predictable too since you know this is a Duet, so Book 2 clearly will be the final, so before you read the book your already trying to figure out how it will piece it all together and how it will end.
This book kinda seemed a bit rushed in some areas in my opinion, the smex scenes just didn’t reach a a ‘searing’ level as i was craving it to be, it was more of a back burner simmer.
Overall a good read, definitely satisfying enough to feel a decent conclusion.
But it didn’t meet my expectations wholly.
I was expecting an epic show down, shocking twists & turns, hot mind blowing smex scenes, but I either saw it coming or just didn’t follow through in excitement, Darkness, and/or depth like Book 1.
Recommend Book and Author? Yep

Once more, Ms. Parker kept me up too late. This second in the Shadowcrown Duet continues the story of Allianna, the two men she loves, and one bad ass devil who is hellbent on having her as a brood mare.
Hot sex (but I would have liked more – especially between the men), passion, and a touch of horror brings her story to an end, but I’m hoping for more. Please?
God, I absolutely love this series. It’s so good that I had to stay up all night until I finish it. Loved every character in this book. I hope there are more to come. If you haven’t read this series yet, it is a must.
