CRIMES OF PASSIONSomehow, after solving one particularly squirrelly case, Clay Mortimer and Tate Williams of M&W Investigations have been deemed experts in all things Fetish Alley. Tate’s taken an undercover assignment for the London police, and solves it with his usual flair. When a brutal and particularly sensitive murder send the shop owners and patrons of Fetish Alley up in arms, once … Alley up in arms, once again the police department calls upon Tate and Clay to take the lead in solving the grisly crime. Meanwhile their lives are being redefined in ways neither of them expected, and even though change can be scary, these brave men make certain that love guides them on every road they travel.

I fell in love with Clay and Tate in the first book. Having them back for a second death in Fetish Alley was something I just couldn’t miss. I love how Tate seemed much more relaxed and not quite as volatile as the first book. I absolutely love the relationship between the two. I think he is finally over his jealousy of Relio. Aurelio is an interesting character in his own right and Tomas is just indescribable.. We didn’t get to see as much of Tomas’ personality this time around. I like that Taylor has a consulting position with the police. Most of the people from Fetish Alley we met in the first book. They don’t trust easily and yet Clay and Tate have gained that trust. Tate being a former tagger helps his street cred. I didn’t mind having a strong idea of who committed the murder, because getting the evidence was the real challenge. I will say again how much I love Clay and Tate. I really am looking forward to the next adventure in Fetish Alley. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This is another fun story in the Fetish Alley Series. Tate and Clay are off on another investigation in the Alley. This one is actually a murder. The story is fast-paced, funny, exciting and hot as hell.
If you like murder mystery, established couples, interesting characters, fetishes, and hot man-sex this is for you.
Just when you thought you were going to have an easy day . . .Clay and Tate inadvertently became SMEs of Fetich Alley because of past experiences. They accepted the skill set. Their jobs were pure detection of the how/who/why of the crimes. Lots of interesting characters, I will take pleasure in meeting in previous stories. Nicely drawn out story with warm to hot spots! Clay and Tate play off each other’s strengths and weaknesses absolutely complimenting each other. Nicely done! I look forward to reading more stories by this author! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

The love-child of Snark and Banter is back! I fell head over heels for Tate Williams in book #1 of the Fetish Alley Series, “For Fox Sake.” It was also my first read by this very clever, and insanely funny author.
Tate and his partner (both life and business), Clay, have found themselves called back to Fetish Alley to help the London fuzz solve a murder. Seems the folks in the Alley don’t trust their po-po all that much. However, they trust Tate and Clay, especially since they helped clear up the death of one of their own (read For Fox Sake).
The victim in this book was found in his place of employment, which sadly was my favorite shop in the last book ONLY because of what was found in the victim’s mouth in this book. Still with me??? I remember laughing so hard imagining display windows during the holidays with these things in them (you know, the thing from the victim’s mouth . And let’s not pretend you’ve never called it a thing too.) Dressing them like Santa’s reindeer, or Vampires and Werewolves. But, I digress…
This book got me all excited and happy and just bouncy inside, not cause there was a murder. Heavens no! My name’s not Jane Marple… not that anyone knows who that is anymore, not important, and I said three hail lady marmalades, when I read about the murder. I’m not a total heathen. Only half on my momma’s side. My daddy’s side is Seminole. And stop getting me off track, child. This is about, Death by ….! That’s right! That baaaaadddd word. At least it is these days.
I loved there was a bit of a paranormal aspect to this. It had me wondering if the character was tied to the Men of London series and sure enough, the psychic used, Taylor, and his now fiance are a part of that series. I am chomping at the bit to start it!
The long and short:
If you are looking for a story to enjoy in an afternoon that will make your cares vanish for a while, have you laugh out loud in places, roll your eyes at the cray-cray in others, look up a song, or bring back a memory through the silly, charming, and often surprisingly romantic gestures of the characters this HEA is absolutely for you.

Some of my favorite quotes(Goddess help me, I love that man!):
“Now grip me tight and call me daddy!” -Tate
“Have we become like the official investigators of all things weird and kinky? I never got the memo.” – Tate
Last one,
“Your cock should have its own reality show. Like, ‘Cock in the Jungle ,’ which one will make it through?”

Once again Clay and Tate are helping the police investigate a murder in Fetish Alley. At the same time Clay and Tate’s relationship is elevated to a new level. Their sexual relationship is described very tastefully and beautifully written. The book is a great read and I would highly recommend it.
Another success in the Tate and Clay spinoff series. You may remember them from Men of London.
This book follows another case to solve. As if the squirrel case in book one wasn’t weird enough, in comes book two to engage and entertain.
If you’ve followed the characters intently, you will see that Tate has mellowed quite a bit. Aurelio was a thorn in his side. As the former love interest of Clay, Relio seemed to relish in deliberately antagonizing – making himself a presence where he isn’t wanted.
Having an established couple in his series allow us to follow their lives through books. It can be refreshing instead of always following different MC couples with cameos from previously established couples. It makes the fictional lives more realistic.
As a reader, I felt just as invested and engaged with Tate and Clay in this book as I did in book one. A wonderfully written mystery series. Can’t wait to immerse myself with book three.

Another great story to read by Susan Mac Nicol. The Main characters are trying to solve another mystery. They work well together both at home and in the field. This is the second book in the series and it is as entertaining as the first one was.

I am totally enjoying this series!
Clay and Tate of M&W Investigations find themselve back in Fetish Alley. Once again they find themselves brought in to help investigate a suspicious death in one of the shops that are found in Fetish Alley. A murder has happened in the taxidermy shop and the alley is in arms about this. Many have an opinion but who might be right? It will take some great investigating, a psychic and sheer determination to see justice served. Oh, you can’t go past a proposal.
This was a great addition to what is becoming a great series. We meet new characters but also see what is happening in the lives of those we have already met. It has been great to have a series follow the same two characters as they grow and develop their relationship while solving some very interesting events.

Clay and Tate get another case in Fetish Alley. I really enjoyed this book. It’s funny , suspenseful, and romantic. The characters and story kept my interest.
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book two in the Fetish Alley series, but it’s not necessary to have read book one, For Fox Sake. Not necessary, but I would recommend you do read it, if only to get a better picture of Tate and Clay, and of the other characters who pop up here again. And you know, since I’m recommending, you should also probably read Feat Of Clay, from the Men of London series, cos that will give you a FAR bigger picture of Tate and Clay and how they work as a couple.
When a young taxidermist is found dead in his place of work, the police call in Tate and Clay to help with the locals, since the police seem to be hitting a wall with the residents of Fetish Alley, and Tate and Clay are almost family to Relio, who runs the Alley. Can they figure out who killed the young man, and who is behind the spate of protection racket visits the Alley residents have had?
So, like I said, book two. And an excellent follow up it is too!
I think I enjoyed this one more than book one, as well. Here’s why.
I got whodunnit very quickly, and why they-dunnit too, so it was fun watching that unravel and turn out just as I thought.
So, once that was established, I sorta glanced over those bits and settled on the more important parts of this book: that of Tate and Clay, and the way each of them, independently of each other, thought about things they wanted to change. It’s gonna be kinda vague, cos spoilers and all that, but bear with me!
One of the two had asked the other, a long time ago, to marry him. And I expected THAT person to ask again, but its the OTHER that does, and in such a way, you felt it, deep in your heart! It’s not a well thought out, planned long declaration of love, though. It’s a rushed, heartfelt deeply emotional proposal, done in a way that is so very THEM, and I bloody loved it!
OH! And, I noticed, in both For Fox Sake, and Feat of Clay, that these guys are not ones for professing their love. Don’t get me wrong, Tate and Clay adore the ground the other walks on and would KILL for the other, but they don’t say those three little words. And they do here, and again, its just dropped in, as they do, with one of them nodding off. And bloody hell if it didn’t make me cry!
Although this is set in Fetish Alley, there is very little actual kink, almost none, really. Tate and Clay do some shopping and that’s about as kinky as it gets. Oh, there is heat, so much heat and sexy time between Tate and Clay, and some we get shut down on, but the KINK? not so much.
Relio and Tomas play a part, and we still have not very much idea with what’s going on with those two, but clearly, something is. I can’t wait to find out what!
A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon!

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Wow talk about trying to catch my breath to write this review. Tate and Clay are classed as experts in and around Fetish Alley, are once again asked to solve a crime. It was hot, raw, sexual, sensual passion and lust it was erotic with the imagination to explode in unbelief.

This was a great follow up to For Fox Sake. I really enjoyed Tate and Clay’s return to Fetish Alley, they are just such lovable characters. Another engaging storyline that kept me entertained from beginning to end.

Murder with unique and delightful characters! I love that i get more Clay and Tate working together. I love the dynamics, connection, intensity and playfulness between these awesome characters. The story-line is very creative and the writing flowed. I read this from cover to cover in one sitting. I love M&W investigations and I am hooked on Fetish Alley!
This is the second book of the Fetish Alley series and you really must read book one to fully appreciate this book. I am hooked on these characters and want so many more of these stories. I am hoping the author has a whole treasure trove in her mind for these guys. . I loved the creation of Fetish Alley and all the amazing shops that were located there. The details of the different eatery’s and specialty shops had my complete interest.
The hints about two of the supporting characters Aurelio and Tomas are keeping me intrigued and i am hoping for more of their story in the future. i also really enjoyed appearances from some of the other Men of London MC’s, that really gave the story depth and connection for me. I am a fan of this author and am so happy to see this new series.
