An English teacher desperate to pass college algebra. A boyfriend-for-hire eager to dissuade a clingy client. Can a fake relationship help these two frenemies reach their goals?Juliette Dubois is one semester away from her dream internship at a private arts high school—if she can pass college algebra. Troy, her roommate’s frustratingly handsome best friend, is willing to help, but the price might … but the price might be too high for her pride.
Troy’s coveted unpaid internship at a top-rated New York architecture firm makes holding down a regular job impossible. That’s why his side gig as a boyfriend-for-hire is perfect—at least until one of his clients decides she’s in love with him. Desperate to appear taken, Troy begs Juliette to pretend to be his girlfriend.
Panicked by her failing math grade, Juliette agrees to help Troy in exchange for private tutoring sessions. But as the line between fantasy and reality blurs, Juliette is faced with her roommate’s growing jealousy—and her own growing feelings for Troy. Can her heart survive the fallout of fake dating a frenemy?
This bite-sized romantic comedy is sweet and clean, with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA. This book can be read as a stand-alone.

Very inventive and full of adventure. I cannot wait to read more from this author. If you’re thinking of giving this a go it’ll be worth it.
For a fun, quick easy read this is a good one. There is some situations that get resolved quickly but being a shorter book that’s okay. It was still done smoothly. I thought the H & h were cute together and I enjoyed their scenes together.
The Boyfriend Borrower is book seven in the Book Club Series in which each book is written by a different author. They all have two things in common. First is the Book Club and second…..well I don’t want to give away a spoiler. This book is a enemies to friends to fake relationship troupe. It is an easy read and makes me want to read the rest just to see what else this book club will offer.
The Boyfriend Borrower is a sweet romance that I would recommend to those who prefer a clean romance with a guaranteed HEA rather than an explicit book.
I really enjoyed this book.
Lindzee Armstrong seems to be able to write amazing stories every time she writes.
The characters were likable, the plot was so fun to read.
Even though it was short it was a good read.
Sweet romance in which two college friends pretend to the girlfriend-boyfriend so that Troy can convince another girl to stop pursuing him. Turns out Troy broke his rule of not pretending to date someone from the college and now she won’t leave him alone. But as Troy and Juliette spend more and more time together, will they develop feelings for each other?
Juliette can’t help the attraction she feels for her roommate Erica’s best friend Troy, but he’s exasperating coming over all the time and eating their food. Plus she can’t respect that he dates women for money. But when one of those women becomes obsessed with him he gets the idea to be in a fake relationship to ward her off. Juliette is struggling with her college math requirement and as a future architect math is Troy’s strength, so they get the idea to help each other out. This works for both of them until they start developing real feelings for each other and Erica gets jealous and tries to get in the way. There was plenty of humor and sweet romance. Being a nerd too I get being really good at some things and struggling with others.
I loved the banter between Troy and Juliette. They were definitely flirting with each other. This was an interesting twist for the book club. I’ve only read two other books in the series, but both of those women were transported either through time or space. This one was interesting since it was so subtle. It was a fun story. I loved how the relationship between Troy and Juliette grew and even the conflict felt so real, you really felt for them. It was a fun quick read.
This is an entertaining and clean romance between two college students. Juliette needs an algebra tutor and Troy needs a fake girlfriend, but when they’re together, they’re like oil and water. The chemistry is good and the banter is fun. It’s a feel-good easy-to-read novella. The book falls under Time Travel Romance and has a time travel symbol on the cover, but it’s really a Contemporary Romance with one mysterious lady who calls herself a fairy godmother who pops in and out a couple of times.
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
A cutesy college age story. I love it when two people fake date especially when one drives the other crazy. The one you thought you never would fall for is the one you always do. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I enjoyed this romantic comedy and fell in love with Juliette and Troy. This book will have you laughing and crying at times. The fake relationship had lots of fun and humor. The only thing about borrowing a fake boyfriend is you may want to keep him. No cliffhanger and a HEA. I read this arc and voluntarily chose to review.
The Boyfriend Borrower was a very enjoyable book. Juliette and Troy were so supportive of each other’s goals. This is just a fun quick story that would make a great movie. I read it all at once which made for a very late evening. I was sorry to reach the end. This book is filled with likable characters and the plot kept me reading.
Oh my! Such a cute, fun, easy to read novella. It was the perfect chick flick on paper! I laughed out loud so am y time-I couldn’t stop reading (bedtime was pushed back a few times just so I could finish)!! Awesome characters!

This was a sweet romance with a fake relationship. I really enjoyed the tension that was in this book. The chemistry between Juliette and Troy was hot. I loved that the book stayed clean throughout. Juliette had some issues to work through, but was able to work through them. Troy was a pretty clueless guy, but he learned the hard way that he needs to keep an open mind when it comes to women. Overall, this was a very enjoyable sweet clean romance that grabbed my attention and didn’t let go throughout the entire story.
This is a sweet and clean romance story. I enjoyed this seventh book in the Book Club series featuring Dr. Lachele, who has fairy godmother powers. She heard Juliette Dubois wishing she had a fake relationship like in the romance books she likes to read and talk about at the Book Club. Suddenly Juliette is in a fake relationship.
I enjoyed the relationship between Juliette and Troy. I enjoyed their banter and teasing each other until they both realize it is more than that. Juliette pretends to be Troy’s girlfriend to get rid of a girl that doesn’t seem to get his message and in return Troy helps Juliette pass her algebra class.
I loved the story and the characters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This was a cute, clean college age romance of the enemies to friends trope with a fake relationship thrown in. Juliette’s roommate’s best friend, Troy, seems to live in their apartment and Juliette resents him for it, while having the hots for him at the same time. I loved how their relationship morphed through helping each other with their problems and then into friends and then love interests.
Troy’s unusual job of dating women who needed a temporary man for an occasion was very different. His discomfort with one of the women he went out with for his job made him seem so vulnerable. I loved his reaction to “the clinger”.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
I started this book this morning and finished it in a couple of hours. Quick easy college romance. What started out as friendly banter and a favor to help each other out turned into something more. I loved how smoothly the romance occurred. Only one hiccup along the way. But it didn’t drag on and I really liked that. If your looking for a fun, quick read; then this is the one for you!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was such an adoring quick read. I normally don’t read book with college age people as I am in my late 50’s and it is hard for me to relate to that age any more. But Ms. Armstrong did such a wonderful job in writing these two characters that it was easy to relate to them.
I loved that the book was written in my favorite dual POV format. This was such a sweet, clean romance. I highly recommend it to anyone. Just a word of advice though. Don’t start reading it late in the evening. I couldn’t put this down and it was quite late when I finished.
