My husband killed me. Then he screwed his way through the city, the only problem? I didn’t stay dead. It seems killing me woke something deep inside, something so dark and buried so deep I never knew it was there. I don’t know what I am, I don’t really care. All I can think about is revenge, even as the monsters in the dark start to surround me. Their horns and black eyes, mouths filled with … mouths filled with fangs claiming I am theirs.
My monsters will have to wait, he will regret the day he crossed me.
Are you scared of the dark? You should be.
18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence. This is a dark book

Rage (Her Monsters Book 1) Kindle Edition
by K.A Knight
I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is a true breath of fresh air. It is beautiful from the cover to the gorgeous text to the amazing chapter graphics. Speaking of the chapter graphics, they were absolutely inspired! They set the tone of the characters that were narrating each chapter. And the writing kept that going with each character having his or her own voice and manner of speech.
That all said, this was also a deliciously dark, devilish Reverse Harem, filled with smexy time (lots of it and quite explicit but it rarely goes into vulgar) and strong willed males discovering their greatest wish has come true.
The story is one part romance, one part crime thriller and one part revenge story, with four hot, powerful supernatural males. I won’t tell you what kind, but at least two of them are new to my romance groupings. Ms. Knight’s writing is smart, sexy and funny! When I wasn’t excited by the love scenes, I was laughing at the inner dialogue, the outer dialogue and the situations.
A gorgeous, sexy, fast-burn, slow built harem novel that really must be read. The only bad part of this amazing book is that I’m going to have to wait for a sequel!

This was an entirely unique reading experience for me. Amazing really. Dark in places but I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for more.
Great book, I didn’t want to put it down.
One of my favorite audiobooks of 2020!
To be honest I haven’t read the Her Monsters series by K.A Knight and I think that is going to change after I devoured this audiobook!! I had a long drive to and from a friends wedding and this over 12 hour audiobook did a great job at making the journey by myself seem shorter. Let me first get through he story. Dawn is pretty BA if you tell me. She is unapologetic after this is put through more than any person should have to go through in their lifetime and when she comes back, she is back with a vengeance and a penchant for not giving a crap what anyone thinks or says and doing what she wants. I loved the various mates she is going to accumulate, the POVs kinda made my head spin a bit but I love how different the storylines were, it definitely kept my interest while driving the long country roads in Virginia haha. I really got invested in these characters, and I can see why people obsessed over this series haha I know the Hate audiobook is coming in 2020, I CANNOT WAIT!! If you are faint of heart, then this series might not be for you. There is violence and some detailed scenes you might not enjoy. I on the other hand have few triggers so I loved every minute of it. It was tough for me to favorite mate, I love them all so far! I also really enjoyed the side characters we got to meet so far. 5/5 stars easily for this paranormal RH series
For narration, I have listened to books narrated by Jason Clarke before so I knew he would be amazing and boy was he! I loved how despite his lower voice, he made the voices different enough that you knew which mate it was, especially Dume haha. I loved every time he announced his chapter haha DUUUME! I think Jason does paranormal characters so well, his voice just exemplifies what the characters sound like in my head when I read. Amazing job all around! Now I haven’t listened to Celestine before but I think she did a great job and will be watching for more audiobooks from her in the future! I think she did a great job bringing Dawn to life and wasnt too much when she could have been. Like, she didnt overact it, it felt genuine/natural.
Like I said before, one of my favorite audiobooks of 2020. I will be waiting impatiently for Hate to be on audio next year! I mean, as well as K.A Knight’s over books that are in production. 100000% recommend, you will not be disappointed
I couldn’t put this book down, it was an emotional rollercoaster, and had a twisted sense of humour that appealed to me! The plot, characters and narration were all fantastice, and I desperately want book 2!
Wow this book was dark and delicious! Dawn is one badass monster. I can’t wait for the next book. Phenomenal writing that grips you from the first page. Amazing characters that you connect with even if they are more monster than human. I must read for any dark PNR fan.
Talk about dark! This book is blood, gore, and some serious tumbles in the hay… sort to speak. Rage is a supernatural RH and girl does it hit the nail right on the head! This story is one of action from start to finish, never stopping for you to catch your breath! Dawn is murdered but comes back to life and from there she goes on a bloody killing spree in her revenge to make her husband pay. Her call of power has awakened some older supes for them to come help their mate. Only the powerful have multiple mates and she hasn’t even meet them all yet.
Besides a few errors in words and grammar, this book is not for those who have triggers.
I have no words to express how much I loved this book. It was supergreatfantasticamazingfabulous! And if I thought I could not love this author more, I was wrong. This just might be my new favourite of hers. But before I continue, I have to leave a warning that this is a very dark book, not for sensitive readers, it is full of all kinds of violence and hot and steamy situations.
It is pointless to discuss the author’s writing, world building and character development, as she has proven her mad writing skills many books ago. Her writing is pure perfection and holy amazeballs. The author’s hot and steamy stuff is off the charts, and I don’t even know where to start with her superamazingfabulous original ideas and the superb attitude of her main character.
Dawn… I have no clue how to describe her perfection. She found herself in impossible situation without a way out, and then to top it all off, she gets killed. This is not a spoiler, this happens right away. And the worst part is that she was an amazing, loving and caring person who always cared more about other than herself. What happens next is amazing. Dawn’s transformation after death brings her an unexpected freedom she never even dreamed about. But that’s not the best part. The best part is her incredible ability to accept everyone for who they are, and love them or hate them for it. Or punish them for it, which is even better. And caring for herself becomes her priority.
The rest of the posse the author introduces gradually, first Nos, then Griffin, then Aska and Dume. All of them are super hot and lovable, even Griffin. But Nos left a deeep impact on me, probably because Dawn spends most time with him and he is so accepting and loving and caring and supportive and non-judgemental, couldn’t love him more.
The multiple shifting points of view add so much to the story. The slow build up of the plot and relationship is wow amazing. There is a whole big picture, of which Dawn is really a small part, so the suspense of finding out more is exhilarating. Of course there is a cliffhanger, it’s the author’s signature reader torture tool, and I love her for it. The ending was soooooooooo good, I can’t wait for the next book.
This book was fuc**** awesome!!!! I totally love this chick/little monster. The story was violent, bloody, funny and seriously scorching hot. It was a fast burn piece of perfection. Can’t wait for the next book.
Favourite quote:
“Listen up airhead, I’m here for the meeting. Now let me in to see Marco or I’ll take these stripper shoes and shove them so far up your ass, you’ll be spitting out golden sparkles like some kind of fucked up unicorn. Deal?”
K.A Knight doesn’t do anything by half — when she says the book is dark, you better *believe* it’s the truth. Rage is action packed, steamy and full of revenge… Check it out!!
What can I say? This book, takes you to the darkest parts of your heart, then shakes you up. I have never read a story like this one, and I love it. You learn not all monsters have horns, or that you never know what evil a person is capable of. But in this story there is love, actions adventure, and a whole lot of steamy. Great characters, great story line flows great. And leaves you wanting more. I could not stop reading, a must for all TBR list. Enjoy
This book was fantastic! Dawn is a raging mad woman who takes names and kicks major butt! After being killed by her prick of a husband he tries to rid the body in the Forrest. But to his demise she does not stay dead. All the hate and rage seems to have awoken a monster in side of her and its out for blood but most of all revenge. Once her monster was awoken it called to her mate(s), monster or not this world is not as it had seemed like when she was a human and now she’s got a new adgenda. Will her and her mates be able to survive?? Good Lord Katie you did an amazing job on this one!!!
You might look at my tags and say “How can a book be funny and scary and steamy?” Well, I don’t know, but K.A Knight managed it. A book about the monsters of the night, revenge, betrayal, and love. It makes for an interesting read.
Parts of it had me laughing so hard. Parts had me burning with the need for revenge. Parts had me fanning myself. And other parts had me going “awwww!” I do recommend this book but it comes with a caveat. The beginning of this book has a chapter or two that was hard to read. Not because it was poorly written, but because the FMC, Dawn, has some horrible things happen to her. I would caution those with triggers to heed the warnings given when deciding whether it is a book for you or not. I loved it, but also recognize that not every book is for everyone. For those of you who do not have those triggers, grab it. It is soooo good.
Dawn has been dealt a hard life but rises again to become a strong woman. Each man presented is strong but so different from the others. Keep in mind this is a dark storyline and deals with dark subjects. The story pulled me in until the last word.
