Three Weddings…And a Murder So far Meg Langslow’s summer is not going swimmingly. Down in her small Virginia hometown, she’s maid of honor at the nuptials of three loved ones–each of whom has dumped the planning in her capable hands. One bride is set on including a Native American herbal purification ceremony, while another wants live peacocks on the lawn. Only help from the town’s drop-dead … drop-dead gorgeous hunk, disappointingly rumored to be gay, keeps Meg afloat in a sea of dotty relatives and outrageous neighbors.
And, in whirl of summer parties and picnics, Southern hospitality is strained to the limit by an offensive newcomer who hints at skeletons in the guests’ closets. But it seems this lady has offended one too many when she’s found dead in suspicious circumstances, followed by a string of accidents–some fatal. Soon, level-headed Meg’s to-do list extends from flower arrangements and bridal registries to catching a killer–before the next catered event is her own funeral…

Donna Andrew’s mysteries are always an entertaining read. She blends comedy and a strong sense of family seamlessly in this who-done-it. Her characters feel real and their shenanigans always amuse. Definitely recommend Murder with Peacocks along with the entire series.
It is a fast pace but easy read. And you feel for the main character Meg who has 3 brides who come up with elaborate plans that they expect Meg to carry out. No wonder she has a book that reminds her to breath. You think your family is crazy but they got nothing on hers. They provide the comic relif. And on top of it all their is buding romance …
enjoyed the characters and the story. Nice easy read.
This cozy mystery series features Meg Langslow, who has been tasked with planning too many tasks in the weddings of three people, including her mother and future sister-in-law. One of the funnest mysteries by a debut author I’ve ever read, and the following books were just as zany.
This was Donna Andrews first novel and she came out of the starting gate with a bang . I can’t say how many times I laughed out loud when reading it. Some of those scenes were too funny for words.
Meg gets tagged as maid of honor in three weddings her mother is marrying again, her brother, and her best friend (all of whom take place around the …
Funny and entertaining.
Love this entire series
This is a whacky book.
I felt this was a strange book, a strange series.
I love the Donna Andrews “bird series.” They are laugh out loud funny sometimes and always enjoyable.
Awesome
best of the series
Maid of honor for three weddings in less than two hot summer months complete with Bridezillas, a body on the beach, attempts at murder, and what else?!?
Meg Lanslow is about to lose her mind in the Commonwealth of Virginia!
The audio is delightedly performed by Bernadette Dunne.
One of my all-time favorite mysteries!
