If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl—someone normal. Now my life has changed forever and I’m as far away from normal as it gets. A living science experiment—not only can I see ghosts, but I was genetically altered by a sinister organization called the Edison Group. What does that mean? For starters, I’m a teenage necromancer whose … powers are out of control; I raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have. Ever.

It’s the second book in this series and it still got me guessing until the end. So many secrets still to be revealed and it had me in a loop of not knowing what was going to happen next. I couldn’t stop reading and I’m dying to read the next one as I still need so many answers! But of course I’m always hoping for that happy …
This was and is my favorite of the series. I have read it more than the others and I still love all the characters.
A very good novel continued from the first and just as entertaining.
I love this series. It’s a good example of quality YA urban fantasy. It’s well written and the characters are interesting and the plot has tons of tension. The magic and world are fascinating. I wish there was more to it! I know there’s a spin-off trilogy, but it doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with the characters in this trilogy.
I love how Armstrong was able to make traveling sound interesting! That’s something I’ve always struggled with and she pulled it off flawlessly. Also the development of the characters was very natural. I loved it!
