Aside from dealing with the occasional wayward donkey or lawn-mowing dispute, being a policeman in Higbee, Maine had never been very exciting. Still, Simon was content with his simple life, close to his family and the good people he wanted to protect. His sister could tease him about his humdrum ways, but Simon felt his life was pretty much where it should be.That is, until the skies chose his … chose his small town as the scene for the most extraordinary show of northern lights in the country for decades. It brought hundreds of tourists and parking infractions to Higbee. But most of all, it brought Elijah.
Blazing beams of light, the deafening rumble of a gigantic machine… Elijah was sure—twenty years ago, he had witnessed the abduction of his parents by a UFO, and it had happened here, in this town lost in the middle of the pines. Others may call him crazy, that great bully of a policeman with the impossibly sexy eyes may intimidate him all he wanted, but Elijah wouldn’t let anything get in his way of solving the mystery of a lifetime.
Subzero temperatures and sizzling, reluctant attraction brings these two together as Simon, the ever clear-headed and responsible officer, gets sucked into outlandish fantasies. Full of aliens and intergalactic adventures, Elijah’s world is more thrilling than anything he has ever known, but as he weasels his way into his heart, Simon fears he may lose him in his starry-eyed dreams of outer space forever.

this was a cute and sweet read. I really enjoyed it. It was alowing going at first but picked up halfway through and then I couldn’t put it down just because Elijah story caught my interest and broke my heart. I couldn’t help but feel bad for the guy and he happened to meet a sweet officer to help him get through it all. At first it drove me crazy that he went with Elijah’s delusions for so long but I’m glad he finally told Elijah the truth even though it may had hurt him at first but he did it out if love. It was bit of a slow burn. Nothing romantic really happened between them until like 60% in it seemed like so if you enjoy slow burns where one or both chracters have a sad past then this is the book for you. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this author so far
Simon is a policeman in Higbee, Maine. He catches Elijah trespassing and ends up letting him stay at his place. Elijah is a UFO investigator and sci fi writer. He believes his parents were abducted by aliens when he was three years old. I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and romantic.
Seek and ye shall find. Sometimes more than you expected! Elijah is in Higbee because he thinks this is where his parents were abducted by aliens. He remembers that when he was three, they were running and his parents saved him by telling him to run to the woods. Then the machine with bright lights and the beings with big heads took them away on the big brightly lit saucer. That is what he remembers of his parents. Simon is a pragmatic cop with a gentle heart dedicated to serving and protecting. He misjudged a situation that ended in a tragedy and a Blessing. This planted a seed of doubt, but he tried to be more supportive in his life. Simon meets Elijah under legal drama, but keeps him around out of compassion. Their journey is one of discovery and acceptance. It’s a great story, a sad story, a happy story, a romantic story and a tragic story. The author did a good job. Higbee may be a little, out of the way New England town – but it was THE place to see the Northern Lights! Because of this, it has attracted people from all over to witness the amazing phenomenon. But, perhaps none of the others had a story quite like Elijah’s. Years before, when he was just 3 years old, he was in the woods outside Higbee (at least, he thinks it was these same woods) when his beloved parents had been taken from him. Now, he was back with the chance to be reunited with them again.
Where Elijah was open to the fantastic and amazing, Simon was a cop – and as such, he was grounded in facts and what could be proven. In fact, even before he’d become a cop, he was never one to believe in anything that he couldn’t confirm using logic and reason. But, there was nothing logical or reasonable about Elijah…or how he had come to feel about him.
But, what would happen when Elijah found out what had happened to his mother and father? Would be be going off to join them amongst the stars? Or would he be content to stay in the quiet Maine town with the man who loved him…and the family that has taken him in as one of their own?
Once again, Romeo Alexander has brought us a story of a pair who seemingly have little in common…but who find love under unlikely circumstances. There’s something in the air in Higbee…and I, for one, can’t wait to see what comes next

This is a fantastic book! I went into it without any preconceived ideas of what to expect. It was wonderful.
The characters were quirky, lovable, likeable, sensitive, romantic and strong. Though they made mistakes as they navigated their relationship, one thing became very clear. They were definitely meant to be together and their pasts have paved a way for them to belong to each other…for eternity.
Simon had a family who supported each other through the worst of times. Elijah was still searching for his family. Between the two, they have the best of everything.

Another fun romp in Higbee Maine where the northern lighs are due to put on a display. This time a young man, Elijah come to see the lights and hopefully find his mom and dad that disappeared years ago. Simon is the local law inforcement.
The tangled mess these two have to sort out will keep you laughing for the most part with a side dish of blazing attraction. Quick read and totally a very good HEA.

I really enjoyed reading this sweet, intriguing MM romance. The characters are well developed and at times they entwine well with each other & react with realistic emotional feelings. The story-line is well thought out and written with an interesting plot.
There is: a somewhat contended but narrow-minded police officer in Higbee (Simon Delmont), a lonely young man with some unusual yet firm beliefs (Elijah Trimble), mild twists, mystery, northern lights, attractions, grief, heartache, old investigations, discovery, compromises, admittance, truth, verbal conflict apprehension, loneliness, emotional turmoil, hope, love, some steam & a wonderful happy, humorous epilogue.

This is entertaining, sweet and sad. Simon is a cop in Higbee, the town everyone is flocking to to see the Northern Lights. He gets a complaint about a trespasser and go to deal with it. What he finds in one Elijah Trimble following the tracks the aliens left behind. Simon is a no nonsense, just the facts kind of guy, so he thinks that Elijah is mentally unstable. Back at the station he grills Elijah some more, then lets him go. Elijah tries to check into the motel, but it’s booked, so he sits outs thinking, because he can’t leave town, he’s got no car, and he needs to be there when the alien ship with his parents on it shows up. On his way home from work, Simon sees Elijah sitting on the curb and pulls over. When he learns that Elijah has nowhere to go he invites him to his household. Simon is drawn to the strange young man, even though he thinks Elijah isn’t all there. Elijah can’t believe how nice the cop is being, not even his adoptive family are that nice to him, so he gets a little hero crush on him. When Simon finds out why Elijah’s in town, he’s heartbroken, and he decides to help him however he can. This series has some very heartbreaking characters, but Elijah is the saddest. This is a very intriguing story, a great addition to the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
I enjoyed the book even though the first few paragraphs did not draw me in right away. But trust me when I say, keep reading. The story gets better and hotter. A police officer who does everything by the book and does not believe in fantasies runs into a younger man who believes in UFO’s. These two characters couldn’t be more incompatible. Guaranteed HEA
